Lo Imperdonable #97 Wed 9/30/15

We start where we left off last night.  Jorge tells Vero that from now on Emi is her and Marty's boss.

In M.E. Marty and Julio run into each other. Neither of them know where AP and Pablo are, but Julio swears that when he finds Pablo he's going to get even. He says that AP is his and is the only woman he has ever loved. His love and devotion would have made her love him. Marty argues that it's not like that because AP does not love Julio. Pablo and AP are destined to be together. Julio says that Pablo will pay with his life for what he did. Marty won't let that happen. How will you stop me says Julio. He is going to find them. He pulls out a piece of AP's dress (that he ripped off her dress when he was chasing them) and says that he will wipe Pablo's blood with it. Marty takes a deep breath and walks away.

Somewhere in the MEJ (Mina Escondida Jungle) Pablo and AP take a walk. Pablo tells her that he understands that she's upset, and he does not want to be selfish like her family. He does not want to keep her away from her family, even though they did everything to keep them apart. He tells her that they will return, but return together. She fears for his life. He says that his he fears more for his heart if he lost her. He wants to return, already married.

Back in the DF, Vero is still in Jorge's office. She understands his pain and accepts his decision. She is also hurt by everything that has happened, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Jorge understands, but doesn't think you should play with other people's feelings. Vero is not going to keep defending herself. She assumes her responsibility, but she thinks he's mixing work with personal business. She commits to finish the latest jewelry line, but after that she will leave the company. Jorge is upset and doesn't think she needs to take it so personal. She is doing it for everyone's benefit. If Jorge is doubting her word and he and Emi think that she was playing around with Emi's feelings, then it's better this way. He asks if she is sure. She says yes. She will always be grateful for everything Jorge has done for her, but she doesn't want to keep hurting Emi, or cause anymore problems for Jorge, or keep apologizing for her relationship. She will let him know when the shipment of gold arrives. She leaves and goes to her office, where she sits down to cry. Life can be so ironic she tells herself. I just recovered my mother, but I feel like I'm losing my (other) family.

Back in ME, Reymunda refuses to believe a word that has come out of Gaby's mouth. Gaby insists that she is telling the truth, but Reymunda only believes that she was cheated on. Reymunda says that the townspeople turned their back on them (G & J) for a reason. Even her dear old dad saw them together. Does Gaby expect Reymunda to take her word over her father's? I vote YES! She says it's better to stop. Reymunda tells her that she doesn't know what it's like to get cheated on by the person you loved the most. If Gaby was looking for Reymunda's forgiveness, she shouldn't worry because Reymunda already forgot what she did. But she will never forget what Gaby taught her. She will never trust that ingrate she has for a husband. Gaby tells her she doesn't know what she's going to loose because of her pride. Reymunda says she knows she will loose an unfaithful husband that didn't know how much she was worth. Maybe she wasn't what he wanted, or needed, but she was more than what he deserved. She doesn't want to take up anymore of Gaby's time, and tells her to leave, and may God forgive her. If Marty and Vero thought it would be easy to convince her, they are sadly mistaken. Gaby leaves, and we see that Blanquita and Polo have been hiding listening the whole time.

Back in the MEJ, we find AP and Pablo still talking about getting married. He wants the town to stop talking bad about her. He says they will get married there in the MEJ by Padre Juan. Pablo will go to town for him. AP fears for Pablo's life, Pablo doesn't want to leave her alone. She says she will be fine and that their love will protect them.

Apparently Blanquita tried to give some advice to her mother and she pissed her off. Kids do not have the right to judge their parents. (Especially when those children are making sense). Blanquita says she was just trying to give her some advice so that she wouldn't  regret choosing self pride over love. Reymunda asks Blanquita what she knows about love. Blanquita comes back with If I don't know, then you know even less. How can she (Rey) doubt Joaquin, when he has demonstrated how much he loves her? And it looks like she doesn't love her family either, because it's her fault that they are falling apart. And without a doubt the only thing she inherited from Gramps is her pride. That gets a SLAP from Reymunda, and to top it off she tells Blanquita to respect Gramps.

Marty gathers the troops (workers from the mina) together to look for AP and Pablo.

In the MEJ, Manny swears to get even with Marty.  Manny's friend (we'll call him Juancho) comes up to him and tells him that the miners at La Morenita are about to deliver an important shipment of gold at any moment. Manny plans to use this information to his advantage. Juancho is confused. Manny only tells him they are going to be very rich.

At the Prado/Castelo offices Ginny dumps some papers off at Vero's desk. Vero is glad she won't have to see her as often. Ginny thinks that Vero liked having her at her beck and call. Ginny says she always gets what she wants. Vero tells Ginny she hasn't won yet. Vero promised Salma to wait until Ginny was recovered, but she swears by Mati's life that Ginny is going to rot in jail because she is the only one responsible for Mati's accident. Ginny doesn't think Vero can prove anything. With Mati dead, Vero lost her last witness. Ginny blows a goodbye kiss to Vero and leaves. Vero calls the number from the mysterious man (Dr. Dan) that said he had info on Mati's murder. She discovers it's a bar and decides to check it out.

Polo, a.k.a., the voice of reason, tells his mother that Blanquita is right. Is it so hard to believe my father and the teacher? They didn't do anything (bad). Reymunda tries to cut in and say that Polo doesn't know what he's talking about. But Polo insists, saying he knows that he's very young, but she (Rey) taught him to have good values, and to forgive. Or did she already forget when he forgave Manny?  She told him that those that don't forgive go through life feeling resentful and unhappy. Reymunda says that it's different. Why is it different says Polo. Don't you want to be a better person? Wouldn't you like to be stronger? You told me that a person is all those things if they forgive. Remember Mom? As Polo points to his head, trying to make it sink into his mother's thick skull. Reymunda says that she will not be convinced and she wants to be left in peace.

We see Marty and Lorenzo riding through the MEJ looking for any sign of Pablo or AP. After they take off to keep looking we see Pablo cross through the jungle, headed back to town.

The Padresito has a talk with Gaby. She says that she could not convince Reymunda that nothing happened between her and Joaquin. Padre Juan says he knows nothing happened, but that she and Joaquin provoked the town gossip. They have very old customs there, and her being at his house alone caused a lot of the misunderstanding (gossip). Gaby misses the town and doesn't think it's fair that the kids are left without an education. Padre asks her to stay. He's going to help her be the kids teacher again.

Joaquin comes home thinking that everything has been clarified. He hugs Reymunda and she tells him to let her go. She thought she was clear that they were done. Joaquin doesn't understand. Didn't Gaby come and talk to you? And you think I'm going to believe her says Reymunda. She came up with the same story as yours. I kicked her out. Joaquin says that he doesn't know what Gaby said, but he's sure it was the truth. If you don't want to believe her, it's up to you. But you know deep down that I am telling the truth. She says it's only the truth because it benefits him. Joaquin says that the only truth that is worth something is the one you feel deep inside of you. And you know this because you know me as well as I know you. I could never cheat on you. But the whole town is talking about you she says. She is letting herself be convinced by the gossip and her father, whose word is the law for her, even through it's a lie. Her father would never lie she says. Think what you want says Joaquin. I am not going to beg you anymore. Maybe I should leave town forever. She tells him to leave and go live happily ever after with Gaby. He says he's just wasting his time. Marty was trying to help, but it was just impossible.

Pablo is seen coming back to town. He is trying to hide in plain sight.

Ginny meets with the European (Italian) jewelry buyer. He wonders if Vero will get in trouble because Ginny is using her (Vero's) email to illegally send him information. She tells him not to worry. He gives her a check. She finally has Dr. Dan's money.

Marty and Lorenzo are still searching.

Maggie and Vero have a talk at Marty's flat in the DF. They talk about Vero leaving the company. Vero doesn't want anything to come between her and Marty now that things are going so well. Maggie thinks that Jorge will eventually come around, but that Emi comes first because he is his son. Vero tells Maggie that she went to see Aaron.

In jail, some guy tells Aaron that if he can get a hold of some money he knows a guy that can put a "scare" on his family.

Pablo goes to see Padre Juan to convince him to marry him and AP.

In the MEJ, Lorenzo tells Marty that they should go get Padre Juan because he knows the area well. They go back to town to get the Padre.

Pablo is back in the middle of town when someone puts their hand on his shoulder to stop him. Thankfully it's Blanquita and Polo. He tells them that AP and him are getting married. Blanquita goes to get some stuff for AP. Pablo waits and they come back in a few minutes and hand him a bag.

Back at the flat Maggie and Vero talk about women who are abused by men. It seems to be a PSA for domestic abuse. They want to start a foundation to help women.

Manny is in his office. Two miners come in with bars of gold. It turns out that the bars are fake. Manny is pleased with them. He even offers the men a good amount of money if they make some more bars for him, but they need to keep their mouths shut.

Manny then goes into the offices of La Morenita and finds a molding from "La Morenita" and takes it. Joaquin comes in to leave some papers, but doesn't see Manny because he hides under the desk.

Marty and Lorenzo can't find the Padresito. They notice that the portrait of San Lorenzo is missing from the Padre's office then they leave.

In the MEJ, Pablo arrives at the hut and tells AP that the Padre is on his way. He gives her the bag from Blanquita. It's a dress and shall.  He also made her a crown of flowers. He goes outside to wait for her to change.

Manny gets home to Gramps (OG, Old Goat). Manny tells him to stop being so sad and to take a walk before he dies. Manny tells him they are going to be rich. He has a feeling they are about to find a lot of gold. And it's all for him and OG. It's a good thing AP took off.

Julio is still pissed and searching for the soon to be married couple.

The Padre arrives in the MEJ and starts the ceremony between Pablo and AP. The Padre announces them husband and wife. They are now married and Pablo kisses his bride. Pablo asks the Padre not to give them away. They are going to see OG and convince him that they love each other. Padre warns they can't stay away for too long. Julio is looking for them and is armed.

Julio discovers the hut. He swears vengeance and wants Pablo dead.

AP feels bad about Julio, but she told him that she didn't love him. Padre says that Pablo convinced him to come and marry them. He hoped that OG will accept them and their marriage. Padre leaves. Pablo and AP are happy. They will be together til death do them part.

Ginny sets a date at a bar with Dr. Dan to give him his money. Ginny has to get a hold of Dr. Dan's recording. If not, Vero will destroy her.

Vero tells Maggie she's going to a bar (same one as the Ginny/DrDan date). She is sure she will find evidence against Ginny there. Vero is sure Ginny killed Mati. Maggie wants her to wait for Marty, but Vero doesn't want to wait.

In ME, Marty, Lorenzo and Joaquin return to the offices. Lorenzo brings out the molding (I guess they had two?). from the drawer. Joaquin says he's thinking if leaving town. Then another worker comes in and says that the Padre is back. They all leave the office. Lorenzo puts the molding back in the drawer.

Pablo and AP return to the hut and realize Julio found their love nest. They wait outside as Julio exits. He thinks that AP and Pablo have left. He will keep searching for them and he leaves. Pablo says they will wait til morning then go to town to talk to OG.

Marty, Lorenzo and Joaquin walk in on Padre Juan putting up the painting of San Lorenzo. They want to know if he knows where AP and Pablo are. The Padre looks very guilty.

The newlyweds are in their love nest. Pablo gives AP her ring.

Marty pleads with Padre Juan to tell them where the couple is.

The happy couple talk with their unborn child and pledge their eternal love. AP worries about Manny's threat. Pablo tells her not to worry.

Manny tells himself that he's going to convince OG to trust him, then OG's going to regret humiliating him, and so is Marty.

Padre Juan wants to talk to Marty alone. He says he's going to break his promise and tells Marty that he married AP and Pablo.

At the Prado/Castelo mansion, Salma is at the pool. Nicolas shows up and is very impressed with the two piece bathing suit Salma has on. He brought her a gift. Her favorite perfume. He tells her the fragrance suits her because she's beautiful, elegant and exquisite. She gets her feet out of the water and thanks him as she sprays some perfume on herself. She asks him if the fragrance goes with her. He leans in just as Emi turns the corner to see him sniffing her newly sprayed aroma. Nicolas! yells Emi. What are you doing?

At the bar, Ginny hands over a big stack of money to Dr. Dan. Just then we see Vero arrive. Ginny tries to hide the money, but it's too late. Vero wants to know why Ginny is giving Dr. Dan so much money. Cara de sorpresa de Ginny.

Avances: AP and baby are in danger.

Fabulous AuntyAnn. Thank you so much for the recap.

Well, even if Pablo and AP are now married, returning back to Gramps, Manny, and Julio is such a bad idea. I'm not sure what these two are thinking. I still think they should run like the wind and not look back now that they have the chance.

About the wedding, that was the fastest ceremony I have ever seen. Padre didn't ask them for their "I do's".

Joaquin wanting to leave town? OK but he better take his kids with him. I loved Blanquita and Polo trying to talk some sense into their mother but hated that Blanquita had to be slapped for telling her mother like it is.

It does look like we are getting a PSA on domestic violence.

Emi catching Nico smelling Salma? Priceless.

I loved the end with Vero popping up at the bar and catching Virginia giving Daniel the money.

This is just wonderful, AuntyAnn! Thank you for all the conversational detail and the smart commentary.

Best telenovela wedding ever! I'm even starting to like the Pablo/Ana Perla theme song again.

I just wish the writers would remember that there is a legal system in ME. If Manny could be arrested before, why not now? And why isn't Julio locked up? Why let him run around waving his gun and swearing he is out to kill Pablo?

Has Raymunda finally gone too far? [For me, she certainly has!]

I loved the ending too, Mauricio. The problem, of course, is that the only people who will believe Vero are Magdalena and Marty... unless Danny turns on Virginia. Ooh, that I'd like to see!

So Manny is fixing to steal La Morenita's shipment of gold. Is he going to get away with it? Or will his plans be foiled when someone notices that the fake shipment weighs next to nothing? (Because the thing about Manny is that he ALWAYS fails!)

Hi NovelaMaven,

From yesterday, thank you for explaining what Virginia plans on doing by sending private information to the client using Veronica's email. Both Emi and Jorge have turned their backs on Veronica again and I can see this making things worse.

I didn't care that much for the AP and Pablo theme song before but now I have grown to really like it. I was surprised to find out that Juan Gabriel and Espinoza Paz are the voices behind the song.

I also think Raymunda has gone too far. She is definitely her father's daughter.

I agree that only Marty and Magda will believe Veronica. Right now they are the only ones that are in her side. It's frustrating that Jorge and Emi have turned on her again.

*that are on her side

You're welcome, Mauricio!

I was faked out by the beginning of the scene where the Old Goat sits alone and stares sadly out the window. I thought he was beginning to feel some regret. But NO! He is still fretting about what the village busybodies think of him and his family (as if Manny hadn't been giving their reputation a black eye for years!)

What a wishy-washy padre! I keep thinking that Nelson Briz (the lily-livered character played by the actor in Amores verdaderos) is hiding under that cassock.

Thank you, AuntyAnn, for a terrific recap!

"Kids do not have the right to judge their parents. (Especially when those children are making sense)." Good one!

Seems to be the rule of thumb for Raymunda and OG. They are definitely of the same mold, more concerned about public opinion than their own family. Terrible role models. In unison with the rest of the Patio, I think, I have wanted to see OG and Manny gone for a long time. How it is that neither of them are in jail along with Julio, as pointed out, is beyond comprehension. After Raymunda's tirade at Joaquin after her rejection of Gabby's explanation, I think Joaquin should take the children and get away from her. I wouldn't want someone who does not trust me as a mate, and I don't know what else Joaquin can say or do to change things. Leave her to ever-loving dad. They deserve each other.

I'd love it if Dr. Dan betrayed Virginia, but I doubt he will. Guess we'll see...

Bad idea, AP and Pablo, going to see OG. Get back on that horse and get out of town pronto, or move in with Martín and Vero.

Had a good laugh, NovelaMaven, re: Manny's plans always failing. So true!

I'm disappointed in Jorge's rejection of Verónica, and as for Emi, his distortion of what went down between them is just that...a rewriting of what actually went down.

Well, in the avances it looks like a helicopter is coming to take Ana Perla away. Hopefully the helicopter will take her directly to Mexico City and away from her harmful family and Julio.

Joaquin also needs to pack Blanquita, Polo & Onix up and go to Mexico City. Enroll Blanquita into nursing school and make a new life away from silly Raymunda & Old Goat. The only reason Blanquita & Polo have brain cells is because of Joaquin.

Plus, who is administering Marty's Mexico City affairs, since Al died?

Great recap!

So glad those two are finally married!

Raymundo is a lost cause to me. She has been under her father's thumb for too long to see daylight.

Oh I hope Dr. Dan turns on Ginny and offers Vero a chance to pay more for his knowledge. I do wish that Magda had gone along as a witness.

Manny's plan, combined with Ginny's emails, may add together to do Vero damage. Jorge and Emi may turn completely and say that Marty and Vero planned it together. I can't imagine them turning so fiercely but one never knows with tn's.

I wonder where Nanci is? Hopefully her elders are raking her over the coals, i.e. cleansing her spirit, for her misdeeds.

"Bad idea, AP and Pablo, going to see OG. Get back on that horse and get out of town pronto, or move in with Martín and Vero."

Amen, Mari!

"After Raymunda's tirade at Joaquin after her rejection of Gabby's explanation, I think Joaquin should take the children and get away from her."

Ojalá. Of course in the real world, it wouldn't be so easy, but here in Mina Escondida, where the law no longer exists... Except that Polo still wants him mommy... Ay, what to do? what to do? And isn't it about time for Arturo to be heading into town for his princesa?

"I wonder where Nanci is? Hopefully her elders are raking her over the coals, i.e. cleansing her spirit, for her misdeeds."

That would be nice, wouldn't it, Carvivlie? Unfortunately for us, though, those elders didn't seem like the raking-over-the-coals types. But yeah, maybe a little cleansing of the spirit – out with the spite and the jealousy and in with the acceptance of the message of the Stars and Snails. :-)

Yes, NovelaMaven, definitely time for Arturo to come for his princesa!

Agree that in the real world it wouldn't be easy for Joaquin to take off with the children (and let's not forget Onyx!), but in that place, all bets are off.

Carvivlie - I don't know what kind of elders Nanciyaga is connected to, but they definitely seem to support her delusional side.

Nanciyaga's elders have never supported her delusional side.

They told her the ancestors told them she would end up with Emiliano.

She told the elders she would end up with Marty.

They told her, uh no. The ancestors have deemed Emiliano is the one you will end up with. You can't fight what the ancestors say.

Nanciyaga told them the ancestors were wrong, her destiny is Marty.

The elders are not supporting Nanciyaga's delusions at all.

Anon207 - Thanks for clarifying re: Nanciyaga's elders. You're right. I now remember at least an episode where that came out. I did miss several initial episodes so there were probably more I didn't see. Thanks!

Thank you AuntyAnn---You sure got a good one last night. You must have had fun with this one. Can anything more happen in an hour?----I mean Julio out of control--Pablo & AP are now married--Aaron and a cellmate are up to no good--Raymunda is still mad as a hornet--Manny is planning to use fake gold in the shipment-- Vero catches Ginny giving Dr. Dan a bug chunk of spending money and Emi catches Nicolas with Salma. WOW!

NovelaMaven---OG is fretting about what the village busybodies think. You asked what about Manny giving that family a black eye for years? Novela---To the OG, Manny doesn't count. Only the women can give the family a black eye.

Right Carvivlie---Where is Nanciyaga? Off getting a spirit cleansing? I really doubt that.

AP and the baby in trouble---OH NO!!!

must see tv
the gringo

Hey everyone!
Thanks for all the great comments on the eventFULL episode last night. Sorry I haven't checked earlier. I just got access to a computer. I only had my phone earlier and when I tried to post my comment it disappeared. It is now floating out there somewhere in the internet universe.

Mauricio,
I too think it's a bad idea for AP and Pablo to go back to town. Manny will still want to get rid of both of them. He hates Pablo and now that OG has Manny's trust, he really wants to get rid of AP and her baby.

NovelaMaven,
Manny is up to no good stealing the imprint molding from La Morenita. I don't even think that the guys noticed that there was a mod missing from the office. They were too preoccupied with the missing couple. And now that he has found someone who will make some fake gold, Marty, Vero and Botel may be in some deep trouble.

Mari,
"I'm disappointed in Jorge's rejection of Verónica, and as for Emi, his distortion of what went down between them is just that...a rewriting of what actually went down."

I feel the same way. Jorge and Emi should have learned their lesson the first time about not trusting Vero and totally believing Ginny. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Anon207,
"The only reason Blanquita & Polo have brain cells is because of Joaquin."

LOL!!! That is soooo true!

Carvivlie,
I too wonder where Nanci is. I hope she's not coming up with another plan to separate Vero and Marty. I hope she is getting a cleanse. She needs to clear her thoughts and concentrate on getting Emi back.

Gringo,
Thanks for commenting today. And yes, there was ALOT going on last night. But I like it because it moves the story right along. I don't want anything to happen to AP and her baby. The avances show a helicopter. Who's it for? Like you say, Must See TV tonight.

NovelaMaven,

YES! The things Manny has done should definitely have caused talking from the villagers and given the Alvarez name a bad reputation. (BTW did anyone else find it strange that AP's last name is Sanchez while Manny is an Alvarez). BUT the villagers let his actions slide and never really did anything to have him put away (for fear of the OG no doubt). It was only when it involved Joaquin and Ana Perla that they mad such a ruckus... ugh!

I agree about Padre Juan. He hasn't done much in this show. Really, the only thing he did was sew Marty's stab wound earlier in the show when Marty was stabbed by Manny.

"I keep thinking that Nelson Briz (the lily-livered character played by the actor in Amores verdaderos) is hiding under that cassock."

Hahaha. I remember the Nelson character from AV. I wish I had stuck with that one until the end. But I did catch the fate that Nelson had in that novela.

AuntyAnn and Mari,

I also loved "Kids do not have the right to judge their parents. (Especially when those children are making sense)."

That's so true. It always annoys when parents pull out that "kids shouldn't judge their parents" card in novelas. Poor Blanquita ... slapped for speaking the truth. :(

I loved how Polo reminded her mother about the time she made him forgive Manuel. When she said that it was different I wanted to say "Yeah, it's different because Polo had to forgive a psychopath (who actually DID cause him harm) while all you have to do is forgive someone who supposedly cheated on you (because you really don't have real proof of it except for rumors going around town)."

Very detailed recap AuntyAnn thank you.
Raymunda Is a peice of work. She is so full of her ol goat daddy and pride, shes gonna loose her hubby. And its her own fault. No one Took her husband, she threw him away. Her children are smarter than she is. And little Polo, I can just scoop him up and bring him Home, he is so precious. She should go back To her fathers house cause her hubby and Her kids are sick of her. They love her but, nobody Is right but her and her messed up daddy. You don't know what you've losed, until it's gone. Well her daddy don't want her
Either. Pride comes before the fall.

Carvivlie,

"Oh I hope Dr. Dan turns on Ginny and offers Vero a chance to pay more for his knowledge. I do wish that Magda had gone along as a witness."

I hope so too. That would be great. And yes I agree that Magda should have accompanied Vero when she went to the bar.

Hahahahaha LOL!!!!! all the brain cells come from jaoquins side of the family, that is so true.
Hurricane Joaquin is really large I hope nobody gets hurt.

Mauricio- Saw you question about names. Spanish/Latino naming structure is First and Middle Name + Father's Last Name + Mother's Maiden Name.

AP and Manny are the children of OG' s daughter. They have their father's last name first, then their mother's last name. Sanchez-Alvarez. When a woman gets married, she drops the mother's maiden name, keeps her father's last name, and adds on the husband's last name in place of her mother's maiden name. But often in business and other things she will simply go by her paternal last name (not using her husband's or mother's last names).

Thanks for the recap, AuntyAnn.

Ugh, so disappointed in Jorge! Veronica, I trust you, I don't trust you, I trust you, I don't trust you...

Since Mexico actually has separation of church and state, AP and Pablo's marriage isn't technically legal/recognized by the government, right?

Nina,
You are welcome and thanks for commenting today. I agree that Reymunda is over the top. She is a mirror image of OG. She is more concerned about what people will think about her than her own husband and children. I loved it when Blanquita and especially Polo told her to step off her pedestal. In the TN world, she is getting to the point of no return, even though in my opinion she is already there. She needs to go live with her father so they can wallow in their misery.

Vivi,
Thanks for clearing up the name issue. It can be very confusing. So happy to see you in the comments today. Please stop by more often.

J,
No, AP and Pablo are not legally married, but they are in the eyes of God. And for AP's family that counts for more than the law. Probably because they think they are above the law.

AuntyAnn- I'm not watching this show, but I am quietly reading the recaps because I think you all are wonderful. :)

Mauricio,

"BUT the villagers let his actions slide and never really did anything to have him put away (for fear of the OG no doubt)."
Yup. Everyone in town fears OG and Manny. I think it's because they employ a lot of people at the mine and they are afraid of losing their jobs. Plus some of the people in that town seem to be living in the 1800's.

Reymunda was lucky to find someone that actually stands up to her father, and that has a more modern point of view. Like wanting his daughter to go study in the city and have a career. Too bad that Reymunda is stuck in the past with her OG father. I wonder if the writers are going to try and redeem Reymunda.

Vivi,
Thanks for reading the recaps. I only joined the recapping team a few weeks ago, but am having fun.

NovelaMaven,

"What a wishy-washy padre! I keep thinking that Nelson Briz (the lily-livered character played by the actor in Amores verdaderos) is hiding under that cassock."

I could not stop laughing at this line. The first time my husband saw the Padre on this TN he said isn't that Nelson from AV? I had forgotten what a weakling he was on AV. I think it spilled over into Padre Juan's character. One of the few times I saw him get angry was when he was scolding the town folk for gossiping. He needs to stand up to OG and Manny if he plans to help Gaby get her teacher job back.

Thanks so much Aunty Ann. I never had time to get to this yesterday, but enjoyed your re-telling of all the rumpus and overacted drama of this episode. The Love Hut especially amused me--somehow a cup tea materialized out of nowhere when they first arrived. Presumably they've gone several strenuous days and nights without food other than an apple (also mysteriously appearing)for Ana Perla. No showers, no toothbrushs, sure glad it was an outdoor wedding! Just skip the kiss and find a well-stocked bathroom please! And then feed this poor pregnant lady who needs food!

Padre Juan, by any other name, always seems to come off as a mealy-mouthed weasel. In additon to his lamentable character in Amores Verdaderes, he was an unattractive character in Cuando Me Enamoro. And he certainly doesn't dazzle in this one.

But you did, Aunty Ann...thanks so much.

Hi Vivi,

Thank you for stopping by and answering my question about the names.
