Amores con trampa #90 and #91 Monday 8/3/15 & Tuesday 8/4/15

Right to the new!

I did combine some scenes.

Francis jumps into Diego’s car without an invitation...and refuses to leave. It seems she took a picture of an extra special page in Carmen’s diary. It describes Carmen’s perfect date. Francis thinks this is how Diego can win Carmen’s affections. ¡Ay de mí! I don’t trust her! Don’t listen Diego. But what if it’s legit info? You could still win Carmen’s affections! But is that fair to Feli? Please stop messing with my head, show! Diego does wonder if it’s really a page from Carmen’s diary. Francis thinks he should be able to recognize his beloved’s handwriting. She leaves the page with him and encourages him to read it and take advantage.

Isa wants to talk to Fac about Beto and Rocio. She’s worried about them marrying so young. She’s fine supporting their courtship, but they should wait to marry. Rocio needs to finish school. So does Beto. What happens after the honeymoon is over and they both realize they put off their lives to get married? They might resent each other.

Totally cute scene of Beto and Rocio at the Carmona swimming pool. They remember the first cookout when Isa fell in the pool. They clown around and smooch. I love that Beto is not a rock solid overly muscled guy. What a teddy bear!

Fac finds Maria in the kitchen and something smells good!! Maria made a panque (sponge cake.) Porfirio joins them. Fac wants to know what Maria going to do with the store. Well, she plans to continue doing business, of course! Rocio can run it and Maria and the girls she’s hired will send the merchandise to the boutique. She can’t let her employees down. Fac says not to touch the store. Porfirio suggests they head for the country...after a piece of cake.

At the dinner table, Estefy thinks to herself that she has to find the exact moment to show Fac the picture of Maria and Florencio. Porfirio throws some compliments her way. Maria turns to Jacinto and asks why he unpacked the box she had already tied up with a mecate (cord)? Jacinto stalls. He needed his computer. To look up stuff for the Math Olympics. No, not the ones that are over. Some other Math Olympics. Nationals! Porfirio thinks they are talking about running. They’re in two months. Oh hijo! Perpetua says he can’t miss that competition!

Isa wants to know why Santi was talking to Feli for so long. Santi tells her about the investors pulling out. Fac is desperate, too. They’re leaving for the country and they can’t! Isa knows Maria must be furious. Santi begs her not to tell Maria anything.

Maria thinks they can just make the trip to the competition when the time comes. Poor Jacinto says he’s representing his school. He can’t change now. Carmen starts saying she can’t leave the University right now. Suddenly everyone is making excuses. Perpetua wants to stay just a couple weeks more and leave some flowers for the Virgencita. Susana wants to say goodbye to Ale. Conchita pipes up and says she has a few things to do too. Maria asks “Is it just me, or do you all not want to leave?” They all deny it.

Frederick has brought a new domestic employee-Esperanza. Isa wishes he could have brought her a younger Esperanza. Esperanza explains that Isa can call her Pelancah. She has worked in the best neighborhoods: Polanco, Lomas, Pedregal, Tejocote. She works from sunup to sundown. She washes, she cleans, she sweeps, she vacuums, she washes the truck even the tires...BUT she has to have time to watch her telenovela! Isa scoffs and laughs.

Estefy doesn’t want them to go. Perpetua says no one asked her opinion. Maria is not going to spend one more day in the city. They are leaving tomorrow! Fac loses his patience and bangs the table. I get excited thinking he’s going to tell her the truth. But noooooooooooo! He decides to accuse her of wanting to get to Florencio faster. If I had some calabcitas I’d be throwing them too, Maria!!

Isa makes fun of Esperanza. Who could be thinking of a telenovela in this day and age? Is that a meta joke? I think it is. Esperanza asks if she has cable, HD and a DVR. She couldn’t watch yesterday’s episode. It’s such a good novela. It’s called “Amor imposible imposible imposible”. Federick cracks me up “So many ‘imposibles?’” Esperanza turns on the TV and starts watching. The entrada for “Amor Imposible” is hilarious. I’m not sure about the theme song though. Federick has a prior engagement and leaves. Esperanza sits down to watch. The actors on the screen kiss. Esperanza stands up with happiness “They kissed!! Finally! After like 300 capitulos Julia and Ramon Arturo kissed!”

Fac says an urraca (spelled incorrectly as hurraca...magpie or “gossip”) told him that Maria is just wanting to get back to the country to be near Florencio. Maria tells him that she is sure of giving Fac a second chance.

Isa wants to know what the telenovela is about. Julia and Ramon Arturo are in love, but they are already married! Since they are already married, it’s an Amor Imposible. Isa sits down to watch. We get to see a scene of the two leads….and the skulking gardener. Ramon Arturo wants her to divorce, but she can’t! What would everyone say! It would destroy her life and his! What does it matter what the world says? I love you, but our love is...imposible!

Fac says he’s an idiot. Maria asks if he remembers what they lived in the cabana? She wants to be with him. He agrees that this time it’s forever. So Maria tells the family that they are going to the country.

Santi is back to begging Isa not to say a word to Maria. Maria and Fac have the right to be happy. Isa thinks it’s part of Santi’s plan to take Fac’s money. Santi tells her to please be discreet. They aren’t just talking about the happiness of Fac and Maria, they are talking about the stability of the company. Isa says she will keep quiet because she really wants to change. She wants to wake up without pills and be the Isa that she is. A good Isa. She asks Santi to believe in her. To believe in her Santi needs some sign that she’s trying to change. She agrees not to say anything to Fac of Maria. She’s worried about Santi. She sits on his lap. He missed her. He asks if Isa is friends with Infante’s wife. Has she said anything? Isa tells him that the don’t really talk about their husband’s business. They just spend the money. Infante is coming to see Santi tomorrow. Santi, not Fac. Infante is the only one that can save them from jail. Isa knows Santi can do it. She kisses on him and leaves. He’s a happy guy.

Rocio says goodbye to her dark clothing and the darkness that she’s carried with her since her mother has been gone. She owes this change to Beto and thanks God that she met Beto.

There is a new arrival to the DF. She is mysterious.

The Velascos enjoy breakfast. They all seem relaxed and happy. Ale made a 9.6 on her math! Things are going well for Feli in the Uni. Isa thinks important to be prepared. Rocio’s new look is bright and happy. I love it! I’ll live with the pink tonight. Just don’t overdo it, vestuario. Rocio worries whether BEto will like it. Isa gets a text...from La Nona!

Gondola Limo!

Beto loves the new look, but also said he would love her in any color. He asks what made her change and she says “Love.” Before she met him, she dressed in black because that’s how she felt. Love changed her. The past was dark, now there’s just light and color in her life. Smoochies.

Fac gets blindfolded and they surprise him with the new Rocio. Fac likes it. He’s reminded of Maria when she was younger and they first met.

The Gondola Limo pulls into the Velasco driveway. The poor passenger has to walk in heels on the cobblestones.

The Velascos are talking about La Nona Corina. Isa gets a text. Nona Corina is coming for a visit! And in she walks! She looks great!

Santi and Isa try to explain to Corina that they have things to do and they won’t be able to entertain her. Corina doesn’t understand. She’s got many responsibilities and she came from Italy, from Rome! Isa “translates” by pretty much repeating what Corina said. Is tries to pulls Corina’s clothes out of the drawer. Santi speaks some “Italian”...I think. They are all going to eat together tonight. Santi says Isa is helping him with his business. But Corina asks “Isa, didn’t you tell me you hated each other?” Isa says they had a rough patch, but things are fine now. She doesn’t hate Santi. Santi leaves and Isa asks her mother not to say anything more about Santi and to just enjoy her grandchildren. Corina plans to enjoy the marvelous men of the city.

Carmen sneaks out and meets Diego near the Carmona pool. She’s been too embarrassed to go to schoo. He wants to take her out so she’s not sad. I friend of his is studying to be a chef and he wants to take her to try a French meal. Carmen gets excited. She’s always wanted to try a French meal. The final of her reality modeling program was in France and they all ate “entreco…” Diego corrects her “entrecote”. She says yes. He says he’ll pick her up at 8 and gives her a kiss on the cheek that manages to be smokin’ hot. She pushes him in the pool and tells him to be punctual. He didn’t seem to mind being pushed.

Santi and Esteban try to talk Fac into leaving. It would be better if he and Beto were not at the meeting with Sr. Infante. No, not Pedro Infante. Esteban tells them the best thing to do is stay quiet and let Santi and Esteban convince the investor. Sr. Infante arrives. He begins talking to Santi and Fac insists that Infante talk to HIM. He’s the director. Sr. Infante does not like how the condo project is going. Fac is the reason Infante pulled out the project and convinced the others to pull out as well. Fac says something about new things and ñañaras (something which causes anxiety.) Infante does not invest his money with people who don’t know how to talk! Oh, Fac may have ruined everything!

Amor Imposible, Imposble, Imposible... LOL! :)

Yes!! BEST PART!!

I'm watching right now (always watch an hour behind so I can ffwd through commercials). That was awesome- the theme song and the familiar faces in the fake telenovela. LOL!

I didn't recognize their faces. You'll have to fill me in.

I was distracted on the phone and at first thought that TN was the next comedy coming when ACT ends! I didn't recognize any of the actors, but they must've had a blast putting that together.

I recognized the "galan" as Tito el Maldito Bandito from Teresa (he's been in other stuff since then), and the crazy/drug addict nurse for Greta in Hasta el Fin del Mundo. I think all the folks shown in the fake tn usually play character or second string characters in tns. That was hilarious. Especially the guys chopping up the hedges in the background as he eavesdropped on the main couple. LOL! Hope we get some more snippets of Amor Imposible, Imposible, Imposible. :)

I just got finished recapping that part. I had to stop and laugh some more.

Rocio has come out of mourning! Yay! But please don't let all her new wardrobe be pink.

Nona has arrived! The gondola limo was hilarious.

Santiago finally got some affection from Isa, and he was in 7th heaven. Just think how ecstatic he will be if she actually allowed him to make love to her. I think he would be bouncing off the walls with happiness.

I can't believe Fac accused Maria of wanting to go to the country to be with Florencio right there in front of the kids and the whole family! I would had thrown something bigger at his head.

Niecie! That must have been a weird feeling! I would have been "What the...?"

Okie schmokie. It's up.

Awesome, Sara! What a great recap, and a fun episode!

Sara - Terrific recap of all the hijinks.

I can't believe Fac accused Maria in front of all the kids either. Dunderhead. But I'm glad it blew over.

Hmmm, wonder how Isa's mom and Porfirio will get on.

Thank you, Sara. You really are speedy. The recap was so enjoyable to read. Loved your "But nooooooooooooo". So, true!

I liked

that old black and white photo of Granpappy Porfirio.

Margarito front and center in Susana's arms. Susana worried about the effect the new plan of slowing down the moving process would have on him.

Rocío's " psychological" makeover putting her mourning behind her. I am not sure if I like her new hair style, makeup and clothing better than the old.

Isabel recognizing the characters in the telenovela were in a situation of "Amor imposible" just like she and Facundo.

The gondola limo and costumed driver.

Corina la nonna who can't wait to enjoy the marvelous men in the city. I wonder how long it will take her to notice Porfirio.

Santiago realizing that Isabel knowing about the true financial situation of the company and María not knowing might cause a problem if Isabel decides to open her mouth and make María aware of the truth. I wonder how many episodes it will take for María to find out what is going on and how she will find out.

I did not like

The whole repetitive Carmen/Diego/Francis plot with Diego caving into Francis one more time. He couldn't even get her out of his car? Not buying that one. After what she has done to Carmen, he should not even be talking to her.

Facundo with his accusation about María wanting to get to Florencio when he and his ignorance in the business world are the real reasons she can't go home where she wants to be as planned. That was a pretty low blow. When will he learn his lesson? How? I can't wait!

Jarifa

Thank you Sara! great fun recap to read! I agree, sometimes them going from scene to scene is dizzying me as well. great to read them all together like this.
I was sort of sleepy last night so will have to rewatch the 2nd half...
I agree that Diego is really winning some points on tenderness/sweetness but losing some brain cells if he is following Francis' lead blindly.... AGAIN!

Sara, I missed this but your recap was well, perfection as always.

"¡Ay de mí! I don’t trust her! Don’t listen Diego. But what if it’s legit info? You could still win Carmen’s affections! But is that fair to Feli? Please stop messing with my head, show!" I love your comments and savor your humor. Your vocabulary is always a treat.

I have a family situation I need to attend to and won't be able to watch or read recaps until the weekend. I will comment more on the show when I return.

Thinking of and missing you all.

Diana

I hope everything is ok, Diana!! We'll miss you, but will look forward to seeing you again this weekend!

Niecie: oooo....Porfirio and Corina. Like daughter, like mother?? That could be fun.

Jarifa: AMEN SISTER! Diego shouldn't be giving Francis the time of day! Really no one in that Uni should be letting her get away with what she's doing. SILENCE=ACCEPTANCE and APPROVAL. I find it very frustrating.

I loved Rocio laying to rest all the darkness. I like the new hairstyle, but I need to get used to the new clothes. I would love to just see her in jeans and a t-shirt and looking relaxed.

Marta: YES!! The action is always bam!bam!bam! Even if nothing is really "happening" plot wise. They do fill every episode.

I am still giggling about Amor Imposible Imposible Imposible (¿Tantos imposibles?) today. I think I may have to go back and watch it again.

Diana - Thanks for letting us know you'll be away. Take care and I hope everything is okay. Miss you already.

I like that the previews don't give away too much. Rocio going pink, Isa's ma showing up in a Gondola Limo [thanks, Sara!], and Amor Impossible Impossible Impossible were all surprises.

Maria is so self-assured about her plan to keep her business. Hope that doesn't change.

Wonderful recap!

The first thing I thought when I saw Isa's mom was that Porfirio was going to be in heaven!

I took the whole Fac calling out Maria at the dinner table differently. I think he did it just to try to get Maria to backoff returning to the country so soon. I say that because his heart wasn't in the accusation and I didn't get a sense that he really believed what he was saying. That's why I wasn't bothered by it being in front of the kids, because he knew that they would understand why he said it, to stop the move.

Does Rocio not know that the family plans to move back immediately? She is so happy I feel like I'm waiting for a hammer to drop on her.

Upset with Fac for not just telling Maria the truth. Yes she will be very unhappy but it is a very serious, real reason.

I'm upset with Maria because she is putting herself first above the interests of everyone else. You can't just pull kids out of school mid-semester at Uni. And pulling Susana and Jacinto out in the middle isn't good either. I know it has been an uphill climb for Maria to get Fac to agree to move back but she has completely blinded herself to the obstacles.

Also, not happy with Beto or Carmen. They are adults and don't want to move back. Instead of going along with it as if they had no choices they could be brainstorming on how to stay, i.e. they both get full time jobs and go to school part-time and rent an apt. together.

Before reading the recap and comments, I just have to say how much of a hoot that novela within the novela was. Laughed the whole time it was playing.

Liked Rocio's transformation and it looks like it was her own decision, I'm assuming letting go of the past and moving forward. And I think she has the best laugh.

WHY WHY WHY don't people just walk away when Frances approaches (and I don't care if she was in D's car-he should have just gotten out, dragged her out of his car and driven away)? I cringe every time they show the university entrance. At least this time it wasn't a Frances/Carmen showdown.

There were a few awkward transitions. The Rocio transformation seemed to come out of nowhere, for instance.

Is Isa sincere? Loved her mother.

Nanette

Carvivlie: Once again you and I think alike. That's exactly how I took Fac's calling Maria out. Right before he did it, you could see the little wheels spinning. However, once he sees the pics, I'm sure it won't be a fakeout then.

Thinking about ACT too much. Estefany doesn't know Fac's in danger of losing his money, right? She certainly won't want a broke Fac. Wondering how soon she'll get serious about Florencio instead.

Oh, I knew he was just doing it to deflect from having to tell Maria the truth. This is no different than ALL the other times he blows up at someone. If you look back, it's usually because HE feels guilty about something. But it still ticked me off that he would do something as low as accuse his wife in front of his kids of intending to have an affair. There are LOTS of other deflecting scenarios he could have used. But not THAT. That was out of line no matter what the reason.

Thanks Sara. Loved the recap. Laughed out loud when reading about "Amor Imposible, etc."

I think that Santi said “arigato” when talking to Corina and Isa made a comment about his speaking Japanese.

Loved the dinner table scene at the Velascos.

Loved the gondola limo—but where in the heck did she find that in Mexico?!

I’m beginning to think that Carmen and Diego are the end game.

Thought EY’s reaction to Rocio’s was a tad too quick. He should have waited an extra beat.

I think Rocio took her last talk with Isa to heart, when she explained why she started wearing all black in the first place. I think as she spoke she realized she doesn't feel that way inside anymore. She isn't still mourning. She is, *gasp*, truly happy for the first time since her mother died.

And I don't think it's just Beto who has created the change in her-- he was the catalyst. It's also that she loves running the boutique, working with the artisan women making the shawls, negotiating the payments, and drawing her own designs. Next stop, hopefully, making her designs come to life and launching her own clothing line. I'm not sure she actually needs to go to university for that, but some kind of coursework focused on business and/or the fashion industry couldn't hurt.

Forgot to mention how funny I thought the line about it taking 300 capitulos for the leads to kiss in AIII. Looks like the powers that be are hearing the viewers re: long TNs. Even if most of them aren't doing anything about it.

Am i the only one who didn't like Rocio's style. I mean i really liked her hair before. It was cool and edgy. Now it's to fluffy and pink. I get her point and all but her hairstyle was a little cringe worthy for me. The black suited her well. Beto needs to loose a few pounds though. Great Recap!!. Also i really do want Diego and Carmen to end up together. I don't like Felipe at all. I don't find him attractive not even for Carmen. The adult's stories are a real bore. Also don't care for Jacinto the boy Genius. I tend to roll my eyes when hes on Camera along with Susana and her tomboy ways. Not trying to be negative just my opinions.

Ana- I'm not crazy about the pink, and hope/expect that Rocio's new wardrobe will include multiple colors, including black, like any normal person. She looked great in the brightly colored outfit she wore to the grand opening of the boutique. Those colors really popped on her. As for the hair, I think it's a matter of getting used to not seeing her with one side of her hair pulled up. She can do that easily with some sort of clip, instead of those cornrows, which I was getting sick out. Sometimes, fine, but not everyday. Bet the actress is glad to not have to get those done each day too.

Typo: Sick of, not sick out.

Nanette: It would be nice if Fac saw the pic and for once believed in Maria. I hope he then takes a hard look at Estefany, the so-called hermana/best friend. At this point she needs to be kicked out of the house, redeemable or not.

I am hoping for lots of nonna Corina tonight hopefully without Isabel.

Jarifa

Tuesday 8/4
This will be a super fast, from memory rundown. Which means I might forget some important things. Please fill in.

Infante absolutely refuses to do business with mariachis (bless you.) Fac tosses him out of the office and yells a lot and confounds the recapper. He’s furious with this Infante….who doesn’t even have the decency to be named Pedro.

The Tres Primos of SBeC send Franklin off on a wild goose chase in Veracruz. If I understood correctly when they called Florencio, they kind of had to...Franklin was wearing them out? And he eats more than el Panzón. Florencio still hasn’t had a chance to tell Porfirio, so it’s a good thing to keep Franklin away.

Isa meets with Infante. He will invest in Santi’s company when Fac is no longer involved with the business.

Corina wen to the super. She’s going to fix dinner for Santi. That’s the way to a man’s heart. She gets kinda flirty and Santi seems a little uncomfortable. He reminds her that Isa has already won his heart.

Florencio, Panzón and the other guy talk about Estefany and they sound like the patio. They want to set Florencio up with Estefany, too. But Florencio is loyal to Maria.

Isa talks to Corina about Fac. Her love for Fac just can’t be. Like the protagonista of Amor imposible, imposible, imposible. Don’t miss it. On el Canal de Las Estrellas. Corina wants to meet Fac.

Santi tells Fac about Corina’s visit. Fac is amazed that “Chabela” (Isa) has a mom.

Estefany looks at the picture she took of Florencio and Maria. Porfirio sneaks up and thinks it’s Fac. They get a little close and that makes the arriving Conchita jealous. Conchita drops a bag on Estefy’s foot. I don’t pay much attention to this scene. The main point...I think...is that Conchita is jealous. hee hee.

Perpetua is no dummy. She knows Carmen is going out with someone. Carmen finally confesses it’s Diego. Perpetua doesn’t want any problems for Fac and Maria, but she agrees to keep quiet. But she’s going to wait up for Carmen! And she won’t sleep until her granddaughter is home! Later Carmen reads the secret page in her diary about her dream “first time.” Surely Pancha didn’t read that?

Maria gives Rocio a going away present. A necklace she’s had since Beto was a child. The stone was plucked from the river by her great grandparents and has a special energy. Maria wonders how Beto and Rocio will do being far from each other. Rocio thinks it will help them know if they are serious or not. And she and Maria will keep working together. Maria is glad Rocio is in charge. Maria is glad Beto is with Rocio.

Also Tuesday 8/4
Cornia made Santi’s favorite meal. She sings opera. The animals shudder. Isa goes and serves it to Santi. More opera. “I’m serving fiiiiiiish!!!” They dance. Santi sweeps her off her feet...literally. She tells him about her meeting with Infante. Infante will reinvest when Fac is off the map. Santi toasts Isa, but then asks her to not meddle any more. She serves dessert and thinks to herself that she wants to be better and she will be!

Francis gives Diego a hard time for liking Carmen and Diego gives Francis a hard time for being as mean as a snake. Francis whines some more about stinky Carmen getting Feli and Diego’s attention. She tells Diego if he wants to be successful, follow all the instructions from Carmen’s diary. Why is Diego even listening to her?

Andres brings flowers to Ale. He’s finally made up his mind and well...could Ale take the flowers to Susana? He gets pushed in the Velasco water feature for his trouble.

Susana and Ale talk. Ale asks if Susana like Andres. Susana swears she doesn’t. May lightning strike her. And it promptly does. It was just a coincidence.

Santi goes to talk to Fac. Fac is lovely in his overalls sans shirt. Santi wants to know if Fac has spoken to Maria. (It feels like this scene is out of order…) Fac just tells him that Isa said she wanted to focus on her husband and family and leave Fac alone. Santi is thrilled.

Andres professes his love to Susana. He thinks of her at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Susana says that it’s hunger he feels. She says she’ll love him on February 30. She can’t return this feelings. Ale is her friend. But when he walks away, she smiles. Any girl would be flattered.

Dinner at the Carmonas. Conchita made tamales. Estefy wants French food. Maybe some fondue? Conchita says no. Estefy wants a sweet tamale. Jacinto does, too. That surprises the family. He wants the same tamale as Estefy. Awww! Carmen enters and says she’s going out. She lies and tells Fac she’ll be with Nicolasa and Jessica. Maria convinces Fac to let her to go. Carmen and Perpetua share looks as she leaves.

Carmen and Diego arrive at the restaurant. She’s a little loud, but settles down.

Isa watches Amor Imposible Imposible Imposible and thinks back on her history with Fac.

Francis comes to tell Fac and Maria that she and Carmen are actually friends and she’s worried. Carmen is with Diego and he’s rented a hotel room for the night!

Previews: Whatever it is, it made the papers and Maria passes out!

Thank you, Sara, for another wonderful recap. From memor? All I can say is wow! Also, thank you in advance for the header for Wed./Thurs.

Interesting:

Televisa putting in a shameless plug for itself when Isabel says "El amor imposible" is on the best tv channel: El canal de las estrellas. ( the Televisa channel that shows ACT in Mexico)

Funny when Franklin was passed out at the table in the bar, the Amarripa brothers moved behind him in a line and gave a choreographed little hop in unison.

Animated lightning striking Susana.

Concha dropping her bag on Estefany's foot and not being happy seeing her standing so close to and talking to Granpappy Porfirio. Concha calls him an old flirt. He tells she'll have to get in line with the others. She says as long as she is at the head of the line.

Facundo so in awe that Isabel has a mother and how he's going to have to see that. (Just when Isabel seems to realize how imposible imposible imposible there love is). Corina being very interested in meeting Facundo.

Corina cooks "Salmon Florentine" both Isabel's and Santiago's favorite. She also sings her version of opera and the animals join in her wailing. Isabel does her own bizarre opera with Santiago when serving him his dinner.. Goofy and funny.

Susana being loyal to Ale even though she does like him.

Double the stupidity: Diego talking to Francis one more time about Carmen. María and Facundo actually giving Francis (the girl who has invaded their home TWICE) the time of day let alone listeing to anything she had to say about Carmen. These were truly beanie moments for me tonight.

Jarifa

Correction "their" love.

Jarifa

Thank you for the wonderful recap, Sara. It was perfect.

Anyone else catch that the speech Isa gave her mom about her impossible love for Fac was word for word what the protagonist of Amor Imposiblex3 said last episode? Once again it made me doubt Isa's sincerity about her change when she can't even find her own genuine words to describe her feelings. Santi is definitely skeptical of this change, but he sure is enjoying this version of Isa. That dinner, dancing, and opera scene was so silly and looks like it was lots of fun for the actors.

Please do not tell me that Diego was dumb enough to rent a hotel room. I don't mind if he did the French restaurant because Carmen's diary said she really wanted to experience French food. But he better not have taken her "first time" fantasy any further than that. Just take her home after dinner, Diego!

I love the mature attitude of her upcoming separation from Beto that Rocio has. I'm really enjoying how her relationship with Maria has evolved too.

Sara - Terrific recap. Love your zeroing in on the cute details I miss, like the Amarripa brothers' choreographed hop. I'm going to rewatch this episode.

Perpetua should've told Carmen to tell her mother because I do think Maria would've gone along with her going out to dinner with Diego. I don't like the way Perpetua continually undermines Maria.

Vivi, Glad you pointed out that Isa was quoting the TN protagonist word for word. I didn't realize that, but I did feel that she was full of herself.

Jarifa, ITA about double the stupidity. I can understand Fac and Maria listening to Francis, since Carmen is presently out at night and did act jumpy, but I'm hoping they don't play into her game and make a big scene at the restaurant.

Hmmm, seems like Mama Corina aims to try her feminine wiles on Fac.

Not trusting Isabel, Francis or Estefany and just waiting for Hilda to pass on by again so I can say I do not trust her either. Maybe Francis and Hilda are really "sisters from another mother" twins separated at birth. I sure hope apprpriate anvils are being forged for all as I write.

Conchita seems to really like Porfirio.

Jarifa

Great recap!

I hope Diego, after his last attempt to seduce Carmen, was smart enough not to get a hotel this time. I fear it may be a moot point though. If Fac and Maria get to the restaurant first and tell Carmen Diego's plan I fear she will believe it without waiting to hear out Diego.

Thank you Jarifa, just catching up, so the details are great.

I'm a little confused about the going to the country plot. Everybody knows apparently that they can't go now, because of finances, but Maria. I wonder why Beto hasn't told Rocio that they are staying in the city?

I hope Carmen (not my favorite) ends up with Diego. It seems poor Felipe had faded into the woodwork. He's become a rather sad-sack character. Francis on the other hand is such a crazy nut case; I love watching her facial expressions but don't love her character.

Lola

Lola, Sara wrote the recap so you will have to thank her. :)

Carvivlie, I totally agree with your post about María and het having no qualms about just uprooting everybody because SHE wants to go back home. I hadn't thought about it that way.

Last night I actually felt sorry for Carmen again having to undergo the third degree and the threat of Beto accompanying her one more time just because she is female. That scene almost felt suffocating. Really? I felt like screaming run, Carmen, run! Now if her parents show up at the restaurant? She needs to get out of there and away from them.

Jarifa

Oops, lo siento Sara .. Yes, thanks to you !!!

Thanks everyone! I was at school all day tearing down things. It was awesome! HULK SMASH! It took my mind of the kitty at that vet (Who will now be taking thyroid meds.)

I really enjoyed the last two episodes and I can't wait for tonight!! Please don't let Fac embarrass Carmen at the restaurant. Please let Diego be sincere and not have a hotel room.

Jarifa gets credit for the coordinated cousin hop!

(I'm about to schedule the header now.)

Sara- Sounds like you had a great day. Sorry to hear about your kitty though.

It was a very cathartic day. Kitty is not feeling well, but he ate really well when he got home. He hadn't been eating. I probably wouldn't have been as worried, but my husband even said the cat was not acting right....and my husband NEVER seems to notice things like that.
