Lo Imperdonable #28 Wed 6/24/15 "Everyone (including Martin) Tries to Figure Out If He Is Crazy.....Or Perhaps Just Crazy In Love"

(some scenes are combined)

Repeated Scene:  Veronica storms out of the bedroom, then listens through the closed door as Claudia tries to pry from Martin details of his married life, telling him he knows she still loves him.  He admits he and Veronica have problems, but only he can resolve them with Veronica.  He tells Claudia she can't stay in his home.  She says that wasn't her plan, but she has nowhere else to go.  He offers to let her stay in their living room.

Lo Nuevo:  NanC comes in and sees Veronica sitting in the living room and crying.  She tells NanC she plans to sleep there.  NanC offers her the second bedroom, since she prefers to sleep outside on the hammock.  While NanC goes to prepare the extra room for Veronica, Claudia comes out of the marital bedroom.  Veronica quickly wipes off her tears and tells her harshly that she took longer than expected to come to town to see Martin.  She tells Claudia she always knew she loved Martin, but her shameless effrontery (descaro) surprises here.  Claudia tells her she will always "be there" for Martin, even if he is married to Veronica.  Veronica wonders if she will be his lover and reminds her he already has a wife, and if he didn't marry her before, well then why would he want to now.  Claudia claims she is only there as Martin's friend and co-worker, and she has no place to go, but if it bothers Veronica for her to stay in the living room as Martin just offered her, then she will just return to the church.  Veronica tells her to take the extra bedroom.  Claudia tries to resist, but Veronica cuts her off and makes it clear that SHE is the "lady of the house" and what SHE says goes.  Claudia says fine and tells Veronica that Martin wants to speak with her, then heads to the extra room.

Veronica is about to go see Martin but hears a knock on the door.  Dr. Feelgood is there to give them a report about the condition of the workers.  Veronica takes this opportunity to consult him about Martin's "state of mind".  She knows he is a cardiologist, not a shrink, but she is desperate and wants to tell him all the details, starting with:  "I think Martin is going crazy."  Vero tells Dr. Feelgood that Martin sometimes appears to love her, but other times it's as if he wants to kill her out of anger or jealousy.  She's not sure what is his motivation.  She wants to think that in his past a woman hurt him so much that it's why he behaves in such an erratic (voluble) manner towards her.  Dr. Feelgood tells her that is not a symptom of madness, but more of an emotional reaction.  She is just trying to figure out how to fix the way he treats her.  Dr. Feelgood promises to try some tests on Martin and if he notices any abnormal behavior or chemical imbalance in his brain (does he run a mobile lab too?), then he will recommend a specialist to her.  He tells her he also brought with him some medicines that might help (well, he does run a mobile pharmacy, it seems).  But first he wants her to give him every detail about every strange behavior from Martin, adding "of course, this will stay just between us."  (And VSnake, I'm sure.)  Veronica starts telling him tearfully that Martin was always a little erratic (that's an understatement!!), but he changed completely with her once they got married.

Emi and Nick are supposedly in a restaurant in Paris.  Nick asks Emi if he would go in search of Veronica if Martin were to die.  Emi says without a doubt.  He would do all in his power for Veronica to return to him.  Nick reminds him they were never together.  Emi tells him it's as if they WERE always together because they are "perfect" for each other.  He gives him some examples, to which Nick responds that it can also sound like a great friendship, not love.

Martin calls out for Veronica.  NanC comes in and tells him Veronica is chatting with Dr. Feelgood and asked her to take care of him.  He tells her he needs nothing from her and to just go get some rest.  NanC leaves and Martin tells himself that Alfredo was right.  If he continues both loving and hating Veronica, then he will go crazy.

Veronica continues telling Dr. Feelgood that Martin seems to go crazy with jealousy if any man is attentive towards her.  Dr. Feelgood thanks her for trusting him and again promises to observe Martin.  He reassures her and tells her to consider him her friend too.  Then he offers to spend the night in a chair by Martin's side to watch how he progresses overnight.  NanC shows up suddenly, and as soon as Dr. Feelgood leaves Veronica reminds NanC that she must knock before entering anywhere (never mind that the little hovel has practically no doors to speak of.)

The next morning, Claudia is back in Pueblo Nuevo, having breakfast with Pierre Dussage and complaining about her uncomfortable sleeping accommodations at the San Telmo Hotel, er, Hovel.  She says a church pew would have been better.  (Then why didn't you sleep there, Claudia?!)  Pierre promises in his hotel she will have all the comforts she needs.  Money is not an issue.  She complains about having to get up early to take the little boat back to Pueblo Nuevo to send some urgent faxes and take a shower (and, might I add, to again dress in highly inappropriate city girl attire).  Pierre forgets his favorite adage ("curiosity killed the cat") and starts trying to get the scoop from her about Martin and Veronica's relationship.  She tells him she doubts that marriage will last long.

Back at the San Telmo Hovel, Dr. Feelgood tells Veronica that Martin is still not well, but he thinks he will survive, as long as he doesn't do something foolish again like going to the mine.  He also tells her that he doesn't think Martin has any mental problem.  She's happy to hear that, but says now she is even more intrigued about the reason for Martin's attitude towards her.

Salma, VSnake, Mariana and her mom are having breakfast at the riding club.  They are engaged in mindless chit chat about shopping, Emi's trip to Europe, and planning for Mariana's wedding.  Mariana reminds her that they haven't even set a date for the wedding yet.  Her mom says that's just a "minor detail" and there is "no need" to wait for Pablo to return to set the date.  She already decided for them that it will be in December, but Mariana has permission to pick the actual day of the month.  (Well, what a considerate mother.  Methinks that she and Crescencio would make a great couple, since they are so good at planning out other people's future without their permission.)

Back in Mina Escondida, Ana Perla and Pablo are "kissing", if you can even call it that when their lips barely touch each other.  (No wonder the "these two bore me" table at the Patio is pretty much at full capacity.)  Instead of truly kissing, these two waste precious time together talking about when they will have their "next chance"....are you ready for this......to kiss!!!!  Pablo is about to try "kissing" her again, but their snooze-inducing idyll is (thankfully) interrupted by Padre Juan.

Claudia complains to Pierre that the fax machine is not working again and she has important documents to send to Mexico City.  She's glad that at least she was able to send faxes to Alfredo and Botel telling them Martin is better.  Pierre asks a bit sadly if Alfredo is her boyfriend.  He brightens up when she says no, he is just Martin's best friend.  Then she complains about the isolation and lack of communication there.  He says that's its charm, making it the perfect hiding place for lovers.

Dr. Feelgood recommends that Veronica let some time pass for Martin to settle down.  He notes that all that has happened to Martin is enough to put anyone on edge.  Then he reminds her how much he "appreciates" VSnake and asks why the two of them don't get along.  Clearly he is trying to dig dirt on VSnake too, because he asks if they fought over a boyfriend.  Veronica says, no, not at all.  He tells her that VSnake loves her very much and it hurts her that they can't be friends.  Veronica swears that she tried for years, and again recently, to resolve their differences and to be friends with VSnake, but VSnake could care less.  It hurts her, too, because she always wanted a sister and she had VSnake close to her, but yet so far from her.

Claudia tells Pierre that people are too close-minded there, like Crescencio who scolded her for her good-hearted performance in church, when she was just trying to ease the pain of the miners. (She didn't stop to think how she was hurting their ears, though).  Pierre lauds her for thinking all can be fixed with music.  That's his philosophy.  Besides, her performance was such a success that all of Pueblo Nuevo heard about it.  He then offers to switch her to a more comfortable room - his own.....Claudia is offended by Pierre's offer, but he clarifies that he only wants to cede his room to her.  It has a terrace, hammocks, jacuzzi, all she needs to be comfortable. (And to undress herself more frequently onscreen - curse you, Mejia).  Pierre tells her he has no bad intentions towards her.  He knows she is a lady and he wouldn't dare to offend her.  She smiles and accepts his offer.
Jorge and Matilde chat.  He tells her he got news from Veronica that Martin is doing better.  Mati notes how incredible it is that her little girl Vero never complains.  She is always happy and adapts to everything, and she's been that way since she was a little a girl.  Jorge agrees, adding: "...and no matter how great a mistake she made, I know she is a good girl." Mati doesn't know what he is alluding to (but we do!!!).  She asks if he thinks she made a mistake marrying the man she loves.  Jorge skirts the question and just tells her to forget about it.
The editors split this Martin and Veronica exchange into several scenes, but they should have all been one single, extended scene.  This is all from a single conversation:  Vero is sweeping the hovel's dining area when Martin comes out of the bedroom.  She tells him he should be resting, but he says he feels much better and is "sick and tired" (harto") of being in bed.  He tells her he wants to talk to her about Claudia.  Vero says:  "You don't have to tell me anything.  What I saw was enough.  Your assistant already made clear to me how important you are to her."  She adds that she too is sick and tired.  She doesn't want to fight, but she also does not want to be upset all the time because of that woman.  She doesn't want to be afraid to talk to other men just so he won't get furious.  "Martin, I'm tired.  I told you once that on good terms and for love, anything you want.  But I will not endure (aguantar) any other way."  He asks her to forgive him, then admits that she is right and he has not treated her the way she deserves.  She smiles and asks if he is willing to change and have things be the way they should have always been between them.  He doesn't answer but instead just hobbles over to the sofa, slowly sits on it, then turns back to her and still says nothing.  She is left still standing there with a befuddled look on her face.  Veronica calmly asks Martin if he is going to answer her.  He says he doesn't know what to say to her.  She gets just a little upset and says she can understand if he needs time to think about it, but she doesn't want to hear that he has no answer for her.  Martin tells her he just doesn't know what to think because he has seen her do things that he never even imagined she would do.  She surprises him.  "You surprise me too, but most of the time it has not been with pleasant things."  She understands they knew each other little before they married.  It would be easy to resolve if they just had to get used to each other's quirks, but their problems are much more serious.  "Sometimes I think you only brought me here to make me suffer."  (Bingo!!!  Give the little lady her prize.  She got that right!!!)......

.....Veronica now is exasperated.  She tells Martin that she thought he wanted them to stay together to enjoy life, to support each other.  But she sees that's not the case, and it hurts her.  "I just don't know how to behave towards you," he says as his hand reaches over to caress her cheek, then hesitates, never quite reaching it's target.  She sighs, nudges down his hand away from her face, and asks if she is supposed to take that as an explanation, or as "an absurd excuse....because that is what it is."  She gets up, gets a little more worked up, and says she has tried to justify his outbursts because she knows he has many problems, but she just doesn't understand.  "You are right," he says as he struggles to get up, then adds:  "It would be best if you leave."  "Are you serious?!"  He simply nods yes........Now Veronica is truly upset and asks Martin if he married her and promised it was for life just to leave her "at the first sign" of difficulty.  (Really, Vero, the first sign?  Girl, take off those rose-colored glasses already because the signs are everywhere and have been there for quite some time.)  He says it's obvious she is not happy with him, so she can now be a free woman.  "Of course, now I understand why you didn't want a church wedding, because this is a game to you, right?  You never had any intention to truly commit to me," she reproaches him. He insists that she take this opportunity, the second one he has offered her, to be a free woman and to save herself.  Now she loses it completely.  She yells at him that before she thought he wanted to end it out of jealousy, but now:  "Are you sick in the head?  Are you crazy?"  Yes, he admits he is crazy and that she is "going to be" (going to be????) a miserable wretch with him.  "Don't you realize that?  So go away already."  Now she tells him calmly that he is a coward, then asks:  "Why did you want me at your side?  And why do you now want to toss me out like trash?"  He warns her again he will only make her suffer much more.  "Go save yourself, and save me too."  Now she can't help but laugh.  She must be a little crazy too, because after all the signs, admissions and warnings from him, she tells him she doesn't agree with him.  She DOES believe in their love, she believes THIS can work, and she is NOT going anywhere until she proves it to him.  (I'll give her props for persistence at least.)
Back in Mexico city, Malena and Botel are eating at a restaurant.  She asks why he looks worried, and he shows her a fax from Claudia telling them about Martin's re-opened wound and the grave situation of the miners (the complete opposite of the news Vero sent to her family).  Botel is not sure if Dr. Feelgood can handle it all himself and wants to go help him.  But Malena begs him not to go and leave her here alone......Malena understands Botel is needed in Mina Escondida but SHE has to keep searching for her daughter.  He is very worried about leaving her alone in the city because he believes her fears about her husband finding her are real.
At the church, Pablo tells Ana Perla that he now knows why her grandfather is the way he is - because a gringo betrayed him and his sister Abundia.  He doesn't know how, but her grandpa's sister died as a result.  At that moment Ana Perla's aunt and cousins walk in.  Pablo walks away and Ana Perla's aunt warns her that if she sees her alone with Pablo again, she will tattle on her with grandpa.

Back in Pueblo Nuevo, Dr. Feelgood asks Claudia if she sent the fax he asked her to send.  Yes she did.  He is glad that the Prado Castelos now know that he tended well to Vero's husband and he can now recover.  But, since he is not sure when he will return to Mexico City, he hands Claudia a sealed envelope with a letter for VSnake and asks her to deliver it to her on his behalf if she returns to Mexico City before he does.  Claudia happily agrees to do it....Claudia notes that he and VSnake seem to get along very well.  Well, that's because she has been his patient for years and he "appreciates" her very much.  (Appreciates?  Nice euphemism for your highly regarded concierge services in bed, Dr. Feelgood.)  Claudia asks Dr. Feelgood for his opinion about Pierre.  Dr. Feelgood tells her he is a bit extravagant, but he is not surprised.  "All these European millionaires who don't know what to do with their money end up living in this kind of place."  Claudia's eyes light up with dollar signs as she repeats the word millionaire.  (Yup, that's what a "patient" told Dr. Feelgood in church, and if he said it in church then it must be "gospel," never mind the patient is a poor mine worker who probably has never set foot in Pierre's hotel or even met him.)  As soon as Dr. Feelgood leaves, Pierre walks on scenes and tells "the singer" that all is ready for her.  "Call me Claudia.  I don't know how long I'll be here so it's best if I start making a friend," she tells him as she wraps her arm around his so he can lead the way.....

.....Pierre shows Claudia her new palatial accommodations, which frankly don't look much different than the other rooms we've seen, at least not until he suddenly remembers that he has to show her THE MOST IMPORTANT THING (yes, he actually declared it so!!!) and shows her the bathroom, with an old-style bathtub just perfect for her many "undressing" performances.  He leave and she doesn't waste a second to start undressing and take a sudsy bath, complete with leg rubbing.  (Recall that in an earlier scene she complained to Pierre that she took the boat back to town very early because she had to send faxes AND take a shower.  In other words, this bath was completely unnecessary.  Curse you again, Mejia.)
Back at the church, Teo delivers a box of supplies but can barely utter a word, stuttering to Blanquita.  She notices him staring at Ana Perla and Pablo and wonders if he likes her cousin.  No, it's just that he found out through "the singer"....(excuse me for a second while I laugh at Claudia's new title)....that Pablo has a girlfriend.  Old news says Blanquita, they already know, but Pablo swore he will end things with his girlfriend when he returns to Mexico City.  Teo suggests maybe Ana Perla should wait until that actually happens, but Blanquita is not too pleased about his very reasonable suggestion.  Teo also manages to hint at how much he likes her, but the girl is totally clueless about it....Later, Ana Perla and Pablo manage to sneak off to the river for a little bit.  Blah blah blah - they have a snooze-inducing conversation, but then she mentions what Teo told Blanquita about his girlfriend.  Pablo again promises he only loves her.  Yeah well, she says, if he truly loves her, then he has to go to Mexico City already and break up with her.  For a girl who gets pushed around by others so much, she sure knows how to deliver an ultimatum.
Malena goes to the Prado Castelo mansion to see Salma, but alas she is still at the club.  She is greeted at the door by Mati.  Malena introduces herself then asks Mati for two minutes of her time to chat with her about Veronica....Mati wonders why Malena wants to know about her little girl Vero.  Malena tells her she met her in Mina Escondida and really likes her.  She thinks she is a very good girl but seems a little sad.  Mati tells her Vero is the best girl in the world, but she has gone through many bad things.  She had a very difficult childhood, plus VSnake does not treat her well.  Then out of the blue she tells Malena, who she just met, that Salma could not have babies, so she and Jorge brought Vero and VSnake into their family.  "Then they are adopted?" asks Malena.  Before she gets an answer, Jorge shows up and asks Malena what brought her here.
Vero walks into the hovel with a basket full of fruit, while stuffing her mouth full with a banana.  NanC is surprised she went for fruit herself.  Exasperated, Vero says yes, she in fact is not so useless.  NanC wonders if wild animals don't scare her.  (I say if wild Martin doesn't scare her, then nothing will.)  Vero says they do, but if she is going to live there, then she has to learn to live with her surroundings.  She asks if NanC washed Crescencio's coat because she wants to take it to him later, then asks if Martin is sleeping.  "No, patron went out."  Vero is not happy and asks where he went.  NanC won't respond.  Vero asks if she doesn't know or doesn't want to tell her.  "Patron went to speak with the spirit that is devouring him inside."  Vero asks what she is talking about, but NanC just runs off, leaving Vero with a cara impactada.
At Demetrio's graveside, Martin tells his dead brother that he can't take it anymore.  He swore to avenge him but never imagined he would fall in love with that woman.  He feels guilt because she loves him too.  He asks with an anguished tone what he must do - break his vow of vengeance or tell her why he married her and then abandon her.  He starts crying and says with deep sorrow:  "I want to forget her, but I love her.  I need to make a decision.  I can't prolong it any longer.  Either I love her or I destroy her."
Preview - all I will say is Gringo's recurring adage:  MUST SEE TV, FOLKS!!!!  #29 is a can't miss episode.

Veronica & psycho Martin arguing again: how long before he pulls a Severiano on her ?

Thanks Latina, looking forward to it. WHEN...will this pressure cooker blow up?
Oh Goodness Martin, I wish this Root Canal could last forever. We can work it out, you will see. Earth calling Veronica....What are you smoking Honey?

Viewerville would rather see you married to Virginia than to CrazyMartin.
BTW Vero, do you have a tall blonde sister in the chocolate business?

Pepe Le Pew is seriously chasing Claw-dia. And I liked her musing as to maybe leaving the door ajar as she took a nice bath since she thinks he is a millionaire.

Hey Claw-dia if it's for sale, looks like you may have a bidder. Free shipping?
:-)
kj

Kirby: Claudia doesn't even like Pepe LePew because she's busy working to get her ex, psycho Martin back!

LOL Pepe LePew better look elsewhere!

Vero, seriously? crazyMart tells you to leave and you're staying because you KNOW this marriage can work? Girl, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale, you in? Tonta. Claudia, is keeping Pepe le Pew on leash in case Emi flames out but what about Martin, isn't she in love with him? Emi is still delusional about Vero.
Romy

Thanks for the excellent Part 1, Latina!

It hurt me to see Vero confiding in Dr. F, knowing that it's just going right to Virginia's devious ears. Girl can't catch a break. At least the lack of communication equipment means it will be a while before he can share the gossip.

Glad Vero's latest fax got to Jorge, and she mentioned in it that she sent a previous fax. Jorge is still of the mind that his previously favorite daughter is a disrespectful, lying whore, and almost said it out loud to Matilde. I wish he had, so that she could set him straight, and hopefully slap him upside his head before quitting.

Thank you Latina for part one and look forward for two. Appreciate all you do.

As much as it bothered me when Veronica confided in Dr. Dan, far more troubling is her doubling down when Martin suggested she leave. He's called her bluff and it was just that, a bluff, threatening to leave him. He knows now he can do whatever he wants and she'll go nowhere. Was her life in the Jorge's home so horrible that she will cling till death begging for love, a little kindness and respect? She's the one needs help.

I don't give one fig, Martin's torment, not once has he questioned the pain he is inflicting on Veronica only his pain and confusion. What a selfish individual.

I laughed so hard when Pablo promised, this time, to break up when he returns to Mexico and when Ana Perla walked away had that, oh shit whatta I do now, look on his face.

Thank you, Latina. It's a great pleasure reading your work. Everything flows beautifully.

Shameless effrontery
Absolutely perfect description of Claudia's behavior and attitude.

Vivi, I also cringed when Vero was confiding in Dr.F. And then when Dr. F wrote a letter to Virginia and gave it to Claudia for delivery – well, no good can come of that.

tofie, Ana Perla pretty much told Pablo to go back to Mexico NOW and break it off. What will artboy do?

Do we think Pierre Dussage is really an eccentric millionaire? So funny to see Claudia do an about-face in her behavior towards him (literally) after learning that little tidbit.

Looking forward to Part 2, Latina!

Is Vero even aware that she is repeating her mother's history? She remembers her father beating her mother, and she has shared this painful past with Martin. Magda described her relationship with her 1st husband as starting with him just having a "strong character", which later lead to crazy jealousy, being controlling, drinking, emotional abuse, and then physical abuse and death threats. Anyone looking at Martin and Vero would say that they are on that same slippery slope. Martin has the "strong character", being controlling and jealous, and emotional abuse down. What else is Vero waiting for? And although Magda can detail what went wrong in her first marriage, she seems unable to pick up any of the clues in Vero's and Martin's relationship, or to see some of the red flags in her own. Botel is controlling and borders on being an alcoholic.

"Is Vero even aware that she is repeating her mother's history?"

No, Vivi, she doesn't seem to be.

Fundamentally good characters who behave badly for a good part of the story are often a problem for me. In the real world, people who behave badly pretty much lose their claim to being good people. [Repeat to self: it's only a telenovela it's only a telenovela it's only a...]

Agree Vivi, it is unsettling how Veronica choose and is in a relationship very similar to her mothers and I also agree Botel wasn't much of a trade up. He was trying his damnedest to have Magda return with him but he's got his buddy Del Rio to keep an eye on her if he leaves. Veronica is isolated, is not free to communicate with her family and punished when she talks to anyone not under Martins directive. Veronica, like Magda before, is accused of affairs that are only in the minds of the man.

Never seen any version of this TN and not sure the intent but if it is to somehow feel romance can grow from this abuse, I'm not feeling it. I hate seeing nearly every woman in this thing under thumb and degraded. To think Martin can abuse Veronica, she take it, possibly get tired and leave and then return after an oops my bad from Martin, ridiculous.

I see no good in Martin, he is a bad man. His problems existed before his brothers death and must have covered them well. Here is a 30 something year old man and not another woman in sight, no relationships, nothing outside golddigging Claudia. You can bet that moody, possessiveness has run off all. This is someone that needed someone to blame because he wasn't there for his brother. He chose the path of least resistance with Veronica for Virginia wouldn't have put up with his crap for a minute. Predators look for a weakness and exploit it, Martin can get his gallon of blood, feel good about it and move on. Simply because he fell for the woman he is destroying garners no sympathy from me. Only difference between Manuel and Martin is you know what you're getting with Manuel.

Thank you Latina xMD for a great part one. Great? Well yes, You kept me smiling all
through it. And I had a real laugh when Dr. Feelgood told Veronica to tell him everything. This will be just between us and you added (and Vsnake I'm sure.) The #1
side comment of the day for sure.

Pierre cracks me up. He's sure going for Claudia. She could have a lot of fun toying with him.

It's everyone's fault but Manuel's. He's working and trying sooooo hard.

Thank you Eli from yesterday. I enjoyed your recap.

La Paloma---Vero needs strong arms to slap Claudia into the next village. Great one,
that had me laughing out loud.

The snails are back. Carlos is besides himself. A jungle doctor, snails and a machete, what can be better than that?

I will be reading part two even if I can't get back so Latina, I am thanking you in advance.
the gringo

The abuse that Vero is taking is of great concern to me, when you add that to the way other female characters are being treated it becomes really uncomfortable to watch.

Thank you for your hard work on the recap! It saves me from having to watch the episode!

Thanks, everyone. I just tried to fix all the spelling and formatting problems with my recap, then hit update, but it didn't take. ugh. I'll have to wait until I get home and work on fixing it on my home computer. Sorry folks.

Team Tofie you now have a fresh Quarterback. You just drafted KJ.

Latina....it's fine. We are all happy. Given the excellent recap I wouldn't waste your time spit polishing it.

Like that little frog out back by the light eating his weight in bugs every night. Love it warts and all.

LatinanMD- VERY Ingrossing recap. Good snark.
Watching vero and marty is like watching a dentist pull out a stubborn Tooth. A lot of tugging and yanking with plyers. "OUCH"!!!!!
WHEN WILL IT END?
That letter dr feelgood sent by claudy has got juicy details, maybe? Claudia looked like she wanted to open it.
LatinainMD- isn't this lady playing claudia, she was miss universe at one time wasn't she? Maybe he wants us to see the bea-uty that won her the title. She is quite lovely. But her claudia character is a bit anoying. Now shes going rub her legs in Pierre's bathroom.
He could have it wired with a camera.
Selma and the gang talking about plans for the 'weeding" hahaha LOL!!!!. Girl I don't know if that was a typo or what, but it fits. That was very funny.
I feel sorry for marty, he is such a sad man. He needs a brake, soon.

Thanks for this excellent recap, Latina. Your close attention to the details of the important conversations is much appreciated. And this observation is right on target:

"I say if wild Martin doesn't scare her, then nothing will."

I'm getting a huge kick out of Pierre. He doesn't even attempt to hide his fascination with and appreciation of the ladies. He is an equal opportunity lecher.

I think many are underrating Claudia's singing talent. Don't forget that she performed without accompaniment. Let's see if Dimitrio can match that.

gringo,

"A jungle doctor, snails and a machete..."

not to mention Virginia and her headband.

Nina,

"I feel sorry for marty, he is such a sad man. He needs a brake, soon."

Yes... either way and I think that you chose the more applicable and urgent spelling.

Carlos

Great recap, Latina! Thanks for the details and your editorial comments. If this group of crazies were spread out in a larger community, they might blend in a little more. As it is, they're all concentrated in this tiny backwater, almost like an open air lunatic asylum.

Ana Brenda often plays the good-hearted, optimistic girl who has to face many difficulties. She may be dealing with the worst one ever with Crazy Marty. He needs to sit down with Vero and explain what's really going on--not that he will, of course.

Thanks Latina for this hilarious recap. I was dying of laughter reading your reactions to "the singer" taking a bath break. I don't know what those types of scenes are supposed to do...maybe increase male views? Anyhoo... I also couldn't stop laughing and yelling (mostly yelling) at Vertin's fight. When is enough going to be enough Vero. I mean this is the SECOND chance Marty has given her to pack her bags with three white shirts, one pair of blue jeans and a pinkish skirt. But now that I think of it I would stay in GreenHell too if I could be away from Emi the Drunk and Virginia.

Also I am still confused about Salma and Jorge's "familia". I know Vero and V-Snake are adopted but according to Matilde (who for some reason I don't trust) Salma couldn't have kids. So... is Emi a bio or not?

Emi is Jorge's bio child, but not Salma's.

Latina- Just read the rest of your recap. The 2nd part is even better than the first. Funny and detailed.

Great recap--actually more fun than the show, which is kind of dark! Is the girl who plays NanC related to the actress who plays Vero in real life? I just noticed their last name is the same. Can't wait to see tonight's episode!

Thanks Vivi in DC for the clarification. This show has so much going on I don't know whats whats.

Thanks, everyone. I got so busy yesterday that I actually wrote practically all of my recap today at work, on my work computer. Since I didn't want any of this saved on my employer's servers, I typed each part of my recap directly into an email, then cut it and pasted it directly into my post here. I think that's what caused the formatting problems. I never have any issue when I type my recaps in Word. Oh well, it shouldn't be an issue anymore, since my last day at work is June 30th. My next recap will be on my first day of self-imposed unemployment. Yay!!! Can't wait.

@Christine Pedersen - no, the two actresses are not related, though they did play half sisters on La Que No Podia Amar.

does anyone know the name of the song that claudia was singing in church. I mean she was really getting down with it too. until creepy Grampa came in and put a stop to it, and then the miners seem to be enjoying it.
But then gramps didn't like her apparel.
Blahblahblah.
