Caray, Caray!

Iker has Daniiiiiiii tied up at Silvana’s depa.  Yikes!  She’s trying desperately to get away from him and tells him she loves Lucas.  She tells him one time too many and he breaks.  He turns from psycho amorous to psycho angry in one second flat!  “Don’t say that!  Don’t ever say that!  I love you Daniela!”  She repeats that she loves Lucas and could never love Iker.  This isn’t what Iker wants to hear and he puts the gag over her mouth again.  I have to say the actress playing Daniela, Jade Fraser, is doing a fantastic job here.  She looks terrified.

Casa de Chava/Casa Ripoll

Armando calls Chava with the news that Dani is missing, wondering if he might know where she is.  Meanwhile, the Ripolls and Fausto are grilling Aurora the maid about what happened the last time she saw Dani.  She tells how Dani asked Iker for juice and he mixed it up for her.  She doesn’t know anything else because she locked herself up in her room.  The Ripoll family & Fausto call around looking for Dani.  ¡Que angustia!  Fausto even leaves a voicemail for Iker!  It appears she hasn’t been in an accident and the cops say they can’t do anything for 72 hours.  Greta only hopes Lucas hasn’t got her mixed up in something stupid.  Doorbell rings and the cavalry has arrived!  Chava has come to offer his help.  Greta declines his help, saying there’s nothing he can do but Fausto interrupts her, saying any help is welcome.  Greta returns to her room to keep making calls.  Sofia updates Chava on who they’ve called but there are still some hospitals and police precincts they haven’t checked.

Casa de Miguelina

Lucas, Miguelina, and Rosa are up, worried about poor Dani.  Lucas can’t think of where she could be.  Rosa and Migue agree it wouldn’t be wise to go to the Ripoll house since Greta doesn’t like him.  He worries that the goons who beat him up may have taken Dani!  He leaves to check with his street friends.

Back at Mansion Ripoll the following morning

Miguelina calls to say Lucas has been out all night looking for Dani.  Still no word.  Chava’s still there and plans to go see Comandante Tavarez who must help them no matter what, but first he must shower.  Greta is going crazy with worry.

Depa de Terror

Iker has brought breakfast in bed for a still struggling Dani.  How romantic.  She begs him to let her go.  She wants to go home to her family.  He tells her she no longer needs them.  He can take care of her like the princess that she is.  He begins to feed her but she refuses, telling him she can feed herself!  He tells her to be good and allow him to feed her and demonstrate how much he loves her.  She relents and he gives her a forkful of food.  She chews it and it makes him happy, until she spits it at him!  Oh, Irkme is not happy.

Malditos Tortolitos

Patricio is still in bed as he calls into the office to say he won’t be in all morning.  Silvana has arranged an appointment with the Registrar for their wedding.  He repeats his warning not to tell her brother.  She agrees but insists she will get all dolled up.  She’s waited for this day all her life and she wants to be beautiful for him.  She saw a divine dress at the hotel boutique.  She’s so happy they will be married in a few minutes.  smoochies

Casa de Chava

Chava tells the fam about Dani’s disappearance.  Marisol is not sympathetic.  She’s not surprised to hear this since Dani has the habit of picking up other girls’ boyfriends.  Surely she’s out with one of them.  Meow! Oh, Marisol, this is gonna come back at ya!  Lupe and Chava scold her.  Lupe’s going to light a candle and pray a rosary for Dani.

Neighborhood

Lucas is walking the streets asking all passersby if they’ve seen the girl in the photo on his cellphone.

Depa del Terror

Dani repeats she wants nothing from him and worries her family must be desperate to hear from her.  Her mother is so ill, this could kill her.  Iker doesn’t respond.  Dani pleads with him not to do this.  If he cares so much for her, he wouldn’t do this.  He tells her not to cry he doesn’t like to see her like this.  He starts to clean off her face.

Iker’s phone rings as he’s trying to get her to drink some milk.  He doesn’t answer; it’s from the Ripoll Mansion.  Dani urges him to answer but he refuses.  She tells him they’re gonna keep calling. It would be best to just let her go before he gets into trouble.  She’ll tell them he treated her well.  Iker refuses to consider anything other than they are now together as it was meant to be, mi amor.  eeeeeeeewwww!!!!

La Calle

Lucas continues his search.  He’s talking to Juancho.  You remember him, the metalica pesadona guy?  He tells Juancho to keep an eye out for that van that he told him about a few days ago cuz he’s afraid the goons who beat him up may have taken her.  Lucas comes across Paco and tells him about Dani’s disappearance.

Empressa Ripoll

Peralta arrives to see Sofia.  He’s transferred some money to her and she hasn’t responded.  Why would he be telling this to a receptionist/secretary?  Anyway, Noemi tells him there is a family crisis and he probably won’t be hearing from Sofia today.  She tells him about Dani’s disappearance and her whereabouts are still unknown.

Geronimo goes immediately to tell his son.  Ollie is shocked to hear of Dani’s disappearance and wonders if maybe she may have taken off with Lucas.  Gerry is sure they would’ve figured that out by now.  Olliver can’t bear to think of anything bad happening to Dani, he cares for her so much.  Gerry promises to take charge.  Oh, Iker’s in real trouble now. 

Delegación

Tavarez tells chava about all the cases of missing persons that turn out to be just a case of miscommunication.  But Dani’s not like that, Chava says, she’d never cause her mother to worry.  Tavarez does find it odd she left her cellphone behind.  Kids these days live glued to their phones.  Well, because Chava’s such a great guy and the Ripolls have had so many problems recently, Tavarez agrees to initiate a search. 

Church

Lucas finds himself in a church and prays for Dani’s safe return. 

McMansion Ripoll

Paco is now with Greta who is beside herself with grief.  Paco assures her Dani is fine.  Who knows, with kids being kids, maybe Dani just went somewhere without telling anyone.  Greta is sure Dani would never be so irresponsible and do something to cause her so much anxiety, especially knowing her condition.  Geronimo calls Sofia to offer his help.  He has connections with the police force, way above Tavarez’ level.  He asks her to send a photo and he promises to move heaven and earth until Dani’s found.  Chava returns to say Tavarez has agreed to begin the search for Dani.  Greta informs him Geronimo has already begun the search.  Chava doesn’t say anything, thank goodness. Paco offers some hope.  He’s sure now they need to wait for some good news. Sofia thanks Chava for his help.  She tells him Iker is still a no-show.  Considering the circumstances, Chava thinks it would be a good idea to pay him a call to see if he has any information.  Fausto will provide the address and Sofia will go with him. 

Sofia and Chava arrive, on motorbike, at Iker’s supposed address which turns out to be a vacant lot.  This does not bode well.  They’re off to see Tavarez

Wedding Bells for the Maldito Tortolitos

Bride: check.  Groom: check.  Official: check.  Witnesses: check.  Looks like we’re gonna have a wedding!

Iker tries to get Dani to drink some tea to relax.  She refuses to drink anything.  After all, that’s how he drugged her yesterday.  He promises there’s nothing in the tea and even takes a drink himself at her insistence. 

Delegación

Tavarez asks about Iker’s references.  Duh, Sofia said they had none.  Tavarez insists someone must have recommended him.  She remembers it was Silvana, who is in the process of signing her Marriage Certificate.  Egads, have you ever seen a more nervous bridegroom?  And he doesn’t even have a shotgun pointed at him!  Patricio signs and so do the witnesses.  filler, filler, filler.  The official finally declares them man and wife.  They profess their love for each other.  Pato still looks nervous, as though he has something up his sleeve.  Silvana gets a call from Sofia who wants more information on Iker.  He’s suspected of kidnapping Dani!  Silvana is impactada and can’t believe that of Iker.  Sofia explains everything points to him.  He didn’t show up at work, doesn’t answer his cell, and the address he provided is bogus, not to mention he’s the last one known to be with Dani.  Silvana refuses to believe this, they must be mistaken.  Sofia says they’re not sure but that’s why they need to find him, “You hired him so you must have opened a file on him, right?” uh, yeah, Silvana says it’s at the office.  Sofia will go look for it and will call back if she needs more info.  Silvana knows they’ve had their differences but offers Sofia some kind words and knows everything will turn out all right. Sofia abruptly hangs up.  When Silvana clicks off her phone, Pato wonders what’s wrong. “Cristian is an imbecile!” she responds.  Pato wonders “Who is Cristian?  ¿Quien es?”  Silvana has that deer-in-the-headlights look.  ruh-roh

Meanwhile, Sofia has told Tavarez and Chava about the personnel records and she’s off to the factory to find them.  Tavarez will put an APB on Iker and also check the criminal databases to see if Iker has any priors.  Tavarez is sure Iker took this job only as a means to kidnap Dani.   He tells them to keep their cellphones handy and make sure someone is always home.  He’s sure they’ll receive a ransom demand soon. 

Depa del Terror

Dani’s a little calmer now but Iker is lying on the bed near her.  He tells her this is the way it should be, everything nice and calm and peachy keen between them.  Dani doesn’t care.  It doesn’t matter what he does, she’ll never love him.  “That’s because you have no idea how immense my love is for you,” he says, “Why, it’s so big I completely forgot about the hatred and the need for vengeance I feel for your mother!”  He spills it, saying he came to Mansion Ripoll with only one purpose in mind:  to kill Greta Ripoll.  whaaaaaat!?  He goes on, saying how he gave one pill to make her hallucinate.  That is the secret to all his smoothies.  He even switched out her prescription drugs with a placebo, hoping her heart would burst at any given moment.  “But your beauty, your qualities ended up winning me over and I ended up falling in love with you, Daniela.  Hopelessly in love.  So my priorities changed.”  Simple no?  Dani is frantic and wonders why he would want to hurt her mother?  He explains that Greta is responsible for his mother’s suicide. 

Wedded Bliss Misery

Pato is angry Silvana hadn’t told him about this part of her life and that she introduce her brother under a false name.  She gives him her best crazy look and tells him it was personal.   She begins the spiel about the vengeance against the Ripoll.  This vengeance was the catalyst behind her studies; so she would eventually work at Ripoll and find the woman who victimized her mother.  This is also the reason she placed her brother in the Ripoll household, to end the Bruja Greta’s life!  He angrily realizes that she’s been working against his interests the whole time.  ruh-roh, they’re turning on each other.  She swears she did nothing to harm him but he doesn’t believe her because she never shared this with him.  She tells him everyone has their secrets.  He can only hope Iker gets away with this because if he’s caught, everyone will find out Silvana and he are siblings!  Not only that, but the authorities will assume that not only did they plan Dani’s kidnapping together, but Greta’s murder as well.  He tells her to consider what Peralta will do once they discover Silvana’s life is entangled with his, Pato’s.  Oh, Silvana knows – they’ll end up dead. 

Depa del Terror

So, in planning that woman’s death, Iker ended up falling in love with her daughter.  Kinda romantic when you think of it, no?  Love trumped vengeance!  Dani’s not amused.  That “woman” is her mother!  He tells her to consider that Greta is alive only because he fell in love with Dani.  Dani is crying, unable to believe this is happening.  Iker recalls the first time he met her.  After that kiss, he knew he could never let her go.  He suffered so much when she dated Oliver, and then Lucas.  She tells him he’s sick and needs help.  He’s convinced the only thing he needs is to be near her.  He snuggles up to her and shushes her as she continues to cry.  eeeeeeeeewwwww!!!!

Wedded Bliss Misery/Depa del Terror

Well, this isn’t quite turning out the way Silvana planned it, is it?  Patricio warns her she’d better get in touch with her brother and warn him he’d better leave her out of this.  She calls Iker.  Iker gags a terrified Dani once again before he leaves the room to answer the phone.  Silvana gives him some sisterly advice, “How could you have forgotten about our vengeance and do something SO STOOPID!!!  The police will find you and you will incriminate Patricio and me!”  Iker is sure they won’t find him.  They don’t even know his real name.  Nothing to worry about.  She demands to know where he is and urges him to return the girl.  Iker is cool as a cucumber, saying they’ll never find them.  Adios! 

Silvana turns to Pato and tells him Iker is sure the police will never find them and this shouldn’t cause any problems for her and Pato.  She figures if they never capture him, they’ll never be able to track her through him.  Pato can only hope Iker doesn’t get caught.  For now, they need to leave cuz he needs to get back to the city.  Yeah, never mind about a young girl being held captive by a crazy maniac!  oooh, I can see those anvils now!

Back at the Depa, Iker removes the cell phone’s SIM card and then destroys the phone. 

Casa Ripoll

Greta, Paco, Fausto, and Alexa are gathered together.  Greta thinks back to all those times she drank the teas prepared by Iker and now  Sofia’s told them he may be the one who kidnapped Dani!  Fausto reminds Alexa she’s supposed to be on set.  There’s nothing she can do for her sister for now.  As  they say, “The show must go on!  (El espectaculo tiene que continuar)”  Alexa refuses at first but reconsiders.  She asks that they keep her informed of any news.  uh, yeah.  Paco also returns to his job at the company and asks Greta to keep him informed. Lucas arrives just as Alexa and Paco are leaving.  Greta greets him coldly and tells him there is no news.  Paco leaves with him and tells him he’ll fill him in on their way.

Empresa Ripoll

Chava and Sofia roll up.  He’s confident Tavarez will find Dani.  He offers her some words of solace and wishes her luck.  He tells her he’s always there for her.  It’s a struggle for them to keep from hugging.

Inside, everyone’s worried.  Except Marisol, of course, but she grudgingly admits she wouldn’t want any bad to happen to Dani.  Lucas shows up and tells them Iker is the number one suspect. 

On Location

Alexa is filming a scene where she’s crying over someone’s death and of course her tears are real because of her anguish over Dani. waaaaaaaaahhhhh!  “Cut and Print!” Alexa doesn’t stop crying.

Empresa Ripoll

Noemi can’t find any files on Iker.  That’s weird since Silvana told Sofia she started a file on him when he was hired.  Noemi remembers Silvana took a few things with her when she resigned.  Maybe the file went with her.  Sofia will call her to find out.  No, better yet, she’ll go to Silvana’s Depa to see her in person!  Eek!  Before she can do anything, she gets a call from Chava, who has decided to visit his workplace.  She tells him about the file and that she plans to go to Silvana’s depa.  Naturally, Chava must go with her.  He can always visit his workplace next month.  Something about that missing file bothers him. 

Depa del Terro

Iker is combing Dani’s hair.   She’s sitting up on a chair, still tied up.  He offers to let her bathe under his watchful eye, of course.  He kisses her neck and she screams at him, “I don’t want to!  The more time that passes, the worse off it is for you.  The police are bound to catch up with you!”  It’s too late for that now that she knows all about him.  All he knows is that he lurves her and he’ll find a way for them to be together.  She tells him that whatever he’s planning, it won’t work.  Well, he’s sure everything will work out.  He gets up and gags her again.  He drags her back to the bed and kisses her feet as he raises her legs to the bed.  EEEEEEEEWWWWW!!!   “I promise I’ll take care of you.”  He leaves the room. 

Outside, he catches a cab just as Sofia and Chava roll up.  Hurry! Hurry!  They reach Silvana’s depa and ring the doorbell.  Dani tries desperately to scream through the gag.  She ends up on the floor, still screaming!  Sofia is yelling for Silvana to answer the door.  Sofia and Chava give up and decide to call Silvana later.  damn!  Dani continues to scream. 

On the street, Cristian meets up with his goon friend.  He tells him that he’s kidnapped a girl whose family would be willing to pay top dollar in ransom.  Goon is suspicious but Cristian offers him half of the ransom along with a new car in return for negotiating the money exchange. 

On location

Paolo promises Alexa to help her in whatever she needs and suggests she go home. But she refuses. As they say, “El espectacular ……….

Empresa Ripoll

Marisol goes looking for Patricio and Noemi notices her new ‘luke’ and fancy clothes, asking where she got them.  Marisol tells her not to be so nosy/chismosa and walks away.

ruh-roh.  Bad news for the maldito tortolitos!  Ollie is on the phone with his dad and tells him Iker is the number one suspect, the one hired as Greta’s nurse.  Oliver is beside himself with worry.  He tells Gerry there hasn’t been a demand for ransom yet.  Gerry knows how these people work.  I’ll bet.  They know the more worried the family becomes, the more they can demand.  Ollie remembers how Iker looked at Dani and wonders, “He always seemed jealous when I was with Dani.  What if it’s not money they’re after?”  Gerry considers there may another motive behind the kidnapping.  They just have to wait.  One way or the other, this will be resolved.  He has to end the call cuz Patricio just showed up unexpectedly. 

Patricio realizes Gerry was speaking to Ollie about the kidnapping.  He may have some important information.  Well, Geronimo already knows the culprit appears to be Greta’s nurse. Patricio grins slyly, “What if I told you that nurse is Silvana’s brother?”  OH NO, HE DIDN’T!!!!  tan-tan-TAN!!!!!!
