♥ Mi Corazón es Tuyo ♥ Lunes 3/23/15 ♥ #173 ♥

Capitulo 173: A Fat Future

Charity House: David, the bio-father of Aurora, insisted upon taking her. Both Jen and Johnny refused to surrender her, saying he will take her over their dead bodies. He went to speak with Erica. Jen wanted to take the baby and run, but Johnny was the voice of reason, saying he didn't want her ending up in prison for this.

Gynecologist's Office: Ana called Fernando on her cell. He looked happy as he answered his, knowing it was her. She told him she would tell him the good news later. Several “te amos” later they ended the call. More jumping for joy with Fanny.

Lascuráin Mansion: Pablo called Alicia on her cell, saying he was incognito in the garden. The younger kids and Siete were out in the hall eavesdropping and they followed her outside.
Pablo was hiding out in the garden wearing camouflage and an army helmet with leaves, as though ready for Apocalypse Now. Close, but not quite. While Alicia denied she was in the garden for any reason other than to see the flowers the twins spotted him and picked up the conveniently located garden hose, which they immediately turned on him.
Pablo begged them not to do this. The shock was enough to make the kid pass out, or so it seemed to Luz and Alicia.

Hermes was laughing. “I love those two boys! Were they always like this?”

Yes, as soon as they could talk in whole sentences and walk,” said Estefania. “And they did both early.”

Wow, and I didn't even do anything about that.”

It's not unusual in a large family. I was always grateful that the older ones were so tolerant of their tricks.”

Estefania, that was because you were a great mother.”

Bruja Central: Isabitch was stuffing herself with popcorn as the doorbell rang.
It was a messenger from the courthouse delivering the official notification that she had lost custody of Diego Nicolás. She had a tantrum and went back to stuffing her face.

Lascuráin Mansion: The twins helped Pablo up. The kid asked “Where am I?” which caused Sebastián to wonder whether he had lost his memory. Then Pablo said he needed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, which Alicia stepped forward to do. She told the other kids to turn their backs and as she was about to kiss her novio
Ana and Fanny arrived. Ana yelled at her in a perfect tone of maternal outrage. Pablo took that as a cue to run for the hills.
Ana then told Alicia her punishment would not be lifted.

Charity House: Erica told Jen and Johnny that all the paperwork has been filed and they would have to surrender the baby as soon as possible. Jenny cried and asked “What if he mistreats her?” and Johnny said he would give his life for this baby.

Oh, no. I don't like when mortals say things like that,” said Demeter.

Neither do I,” said Persephone. “I'd better see what the Fates are up to.”

David's (?) Apartment: Not sure if this is his or Mónica's place, but he sat on a couch playing solitaire with real cards and having a shot of tequila while she was cutting vegetables. He was telling her that he was about to assume custody of his daughter. Mónica asked how it was he knew this was his child (and I thought I heard her call him “Bobby”); he told her the mother was someone named Isadora and this was before he knew her. She told him he couldn't bring the baby back and he threw the cards on the table, saying they were sitting on a gold mine. They don't want to always live this way, do they?

Lascuráin Mansion: In the library, Fanny got out the easel pad and marker to initiate a game of Hangman with the younger kids. Ana, Diego, Bruno, and Manuela were also present.
Starting from Luz, they filled in the letters until the page read “We are going to have another little bro”.
Nando and Sebas were the first to hug Ana, Diego high-fived her, and Siete barked. Ana made everyone keep quiet because Siete detected a presence.
She went out to see that Fernando had just returned from the office. Lovey-dovey stuff until Diego came out of the library, saying that he had been regaling his adventures to the kids. He went back into the library, saying he had to finish the story. More lovey-dovey stuff but no revelations.

Bruja Central: She was eating potato chips as Arquemides showed her something on the laptop screen. It was an e-mail to Ana from her doctor, with an attachment showing the lab test results. “Positive.”
Isababy had another tantrum. She got up, hit the messenger (who was already kneeling on the floor), even pulling at his hair and knocking him over. He looked up, probably wondering what he had signed on for, as she continued incoherently.

He must be what they call an idiot savant,” said Apollo. “How can this geek know all about modern technology and be so stupid about people?”

I think it's called desperation,” said Eros. “But maybe that's my fault for not seeing to it that he look a little better. He obviously knows nothing about women, good or bad.”

Seniors' Home: Yomama sat with her friends, talking to the new arrival. She told them she had been a teacher for fifty years. Romulo began coming on to her and Radames tried competing with him.

Bruja Central: Arquemides had gotten to his feet, but Isababy was still in tantrum mode. He was beginning to look scared.

Lascuráin Mansion: Bruno was working in the kitchen with a buzz-saw on a piece of balsa wood. The twins were apparently checking up on him for Fanny. After a scare that should have turned his hair back to black, he said he would need another hour. They said OK and he went back to work.
They spotted the folder on the table, took out the marriage license, and slowly backed out of the kitchen.

Upstairs in the master bedroom Ana was holding Diego Nicolás, talking about how emotional Fernando will be... just as Fernando walked in. He asked what this was about and she said “What?” and was obviously delaying any answer.
Luz charged in, then backed off, followed by Sebastian. Fernando was wondering why everyone was behaving so weirdly. He finally told Ana if she doesn't tell him he will be very annoyed. She handed the baby to him.

Downstairs he asked Manuela, Bruno, and Soledad what was up and none would answer. The lights went off, Luz began announcing something, and some music came out of nowhere.
Then the wooden panel Bruno had worked on came down, attached to something in pastel stripes, like a cut-out at a county fair. In order of age, each of the kids appeared at the appropriate head opening to build the announcement, with Luz announcing that Fernando will be a dad again. Diego held his namesake nephew up to the eighth hole.
Manuela hung a baby onesie at the last opening where Ana appeared to confirm it. She came out from behind the panel to tell Fernando she was pregnant.
They embraced and he was so happy he cried. Bruno and Manuela talked between themselves about getting married the next day and there was a big family hug, which they were told to join because they also were family.

The Next Day

Ana and Fernando woke up and started talking about whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. She asked him what he wanted; he started saying he had five boys and three girls.... and it looked like Ana also might want a girl.
Luz and the twins came in and started asking questions. They started explaining that it will be a while before they know because right now the embryo is only about two millimeters long. Ana suggested they go down to breakfast, but the twins said they had to talk to Dad first. It was very important.

Bruno and Manuela were in the kitchen talking about the wedding. He explained he had arranged for the hotel and everything.
Fanny entered on the tail end of this – on the word "sexy” – and said she just wanted some coffee. Bruno left the kitchen to talk to the boss.
Fanny asked Manuela whether “it” had happened yet and she told her “Not yet, but...”

Fernando was on the phone with his lawyer, saying he would check his e-mail. Ana called from outside the room to tell him they had to go. He opened his e-mail and was satisfied with what he saw on his computer screen. He thanked his lawyer and ended the call.

Bruja Central: She was eating an enormous cracker while the screen indicated there was a new message. Arquemides opened it and told Isabitch that it was the announcement of the Catholic annulment of her marriage to Fernando.
She slammed down the snack and started throwing crumbs at him, then declaring to her non-existent audience that she would prevent it.

Oh, no, you won't!” said Estefania. “You have done more than enough damage.”

No te preocupes,” said Aphrodite. “We will protect Ana from this so-called plan.”

Unknown Room With Institutional Walls: Ana and Fernando were about to kiss when the kids made noise. They shushed them.

Magistrate's Office: Bruno and Manuela stood in front of the judge, who asked about their witnesses, which were Maria and Zeus (We assume that Maria is one of the household maids).
They immediately appeared. They gave their identification documents to him.
Bruno opened the folder, which was empty. The judge told them they could not be married without the document. He returned their IDs and they started out.
The entire Lascuráin family appeared, the twins leading the way with the missing license.  The wedding took place.

That wasn't a nice thing for them to do,” said Aphrodite. “It could have prevented the wedding.”

True,” said Hermes. “But don't they look adorable in their suits and ties?”

Of course they do,” she said. “How else do they get away with their pranks?” Hermes laughed. “Well, you'll be pleased to know that I also have plans for them.”

What plans?” asked Estefania, who looked worried.

No te preocupes; they're going to stay handsome and they will have lots of girlfriends. By then they might be cured of playing these tricks.”

Estefania smiled and almost cried. “Thank you, Aphrodite. I didn't live to hold my grandchildren, but I have the feeling there will be many of them.”

Hotel Room: After a montage of items from a modern still life that would look lovely in a magazine spread, Bruno carried Manuela inside. While she looked lovely in her peasant finery bridal gown, he looked much older than he needed to in his white shirt, red tie, and white Stetson.
He put her on her feet at the foot of the bed before opening the champagne. He tried to toast their love, but she didn't want to wait another second.
She shoved him onto the bed, removed her lace shawl, and tackled him. Clothes went flying, with Bruno's shirt landing on the chair across the room.

The gods laughed in amusement. Aphrodite passed around a tray of Thessalian grapes.

León's Apartment: Fanny had been watching a movie, but León and Mauricio fell asleep on the couch.
Fanny took a picture of them with her cell phone, then covered them with a blanket, smiling as she did so.

Lascuráin Mansion: As Nando got back home, he found Edith waiting for him.
Ximena arrived just in time to see them on the steps. From her angle of vision it looked as though they were kissing, but actually Edith was only a little too close for Nando's comfort.

Inside, Angel and Magda paid a visit to tell Ana and Fernando they were going to try again. Ana was so thrilled she had to rein in her enthusiasm, finally saying that she and Fernando have learned that it is necessary to be honest with each other.
They said they were leaving for Europe the next day. Fernando was surprised, asking whether they wouldn't want to be at their church wedding. He then caught himself and realized that he hadn't told Ana the good news from his lawyer. “Really?” she asked. “Really.”
She then pointed to the portrait of Estefania and said “Thanks to you! Thanks to you!” before hugging Fernando. Magda said they'd take their trip in two months and Ana asked Fernando “When's the wedding?”

Whenever you want,” he said.

Tomorrow?”

Well, I have to see when the priest is available.”

So Ana talked about the beautiful white dress she wanted and got excited about having the wedding of her dreams. Angel suggested to Magda that they remarry in Paris.
All four drank to second chances.

I am so happy for them,” said Estefania. “At last they will be together. I know Ana will give Fernando beautiful children.”

You are a very generous soul,” said Aphrodite. “Many other women would not feel that way.”

I would never have wanted Fernando to grieve for me forever,” she said. “That is too great a sacrifice and would not have been good for the children, either.”

You will be rewarded for that,” Aphrodite said. “We will speak of this after the wedding.”

Bruja Central: Arquemides worked on the computer as Isabitch spooned hot sauce over a pile of chips that sat on top of a full bowl of popcorn. She was pushing him to find out where “they” would be in the morning. “Why?” he asked. “Because I have a plan,” she said, as she stuffed chips in her mouth.

Lascuráin Mansion: Nando was alone in his room trying to make sense of his situation when Ximena knocked. She asked him if Edith confused him.

Edith was in Fanny's room, explaining that she was testing herself. Just as an alcoholic needs to look at a drink and not take one, etc. And she passed.

Ximena, meanwhile, decided that she had had enough. She walked out. Although Nando said he loved her, she didn't want to talk to him.
She went into Fanny's room. When Fanny saw her expression she suggested that they go down and have some dinner. All three girls left the room.

Hotel Room: The untouched champagne glasses stood on the table next to the tray of what looked like chocolate-covered strawbs. Bruno appeared to be asleep, but Manuela was as wide awake as any time. She looked like she was ready for Round 2. However, when Bruno woke up and she praised his capabilities his stutter was still as strong as ever. Manuela didn't seem to mind.

Lascuráin Mansion: Magda and Angel were leaving. All looked right with them.

The Next Day

Bruja Central: Isabelly was eating again; a party's worth of snacks were on the coffee table.
Somehow Arquemides determined that Ana was at the Charity House. Isabruja asked why “that servant” was there, but he said he didn't know.

Charity House: Jenny was holding Aurora while Ana was telling her how sorry she was. On the nearby table was a large tote bag.
David entered and Erica told him there were papers to sign. Johnny looked at him with suspicion. Ana also seemed to have a bad vibe. Johnny said goodbye to the baby. Jenny cried. David returned to get the baby.
Jenny reluctantly handed her over; he appeared to know how to hold an infant. Johnny gave him the blue bag with the clothes and told him to take good care of her. He said he would.
Erica followed him out the door as Johnny and Ana hugged Jenny for moral support.

That bruja did something; I know it!” said Estefania.

It certainly looks that way,” said Eros. “I wonder what all of this is costing her.”

In the long term she will lose everything,” said Hera, who had just arrived. “She is an insult to womanhood and the institutions of marriage and family.”

I have a few ideas about what to do to her,” said Aphrodite. “But first you and I have to talk about something else.”

We will speak in my private chamber,” said Hera. The two goddesses left the gathering.

On that note, I take my leave of you, dear readers, as chronicler of the mortal activities. However, I am still spying on the gods. They still have things to say... and do. Stay tuned!

Urban

I am going to miss your recaps, screenshots, and dialogue amongst the Gods. I am sure I will have recap withdrawal once this is over. Add to that JS withdrawal .

I hope other producers noticed these young actors and give them all (along with Edith) the opportunity to further their acting skills by casting them in other telenovelas.

Thank you Urban for all of your wonderful wonderful hard work!!!!! Very much appreciated!!!

I was on Edith's side but she seems to be playing with Xime and Nando now. I don't like it. Feels vengeful.

Loved watching Isas food intake.

What does David have instore for Aura? Goldmine? Does he plan to sell the baby? Extort money from J&J? He seemed to take some pleasure in seeing Jenny's suffering.

When JS started crying at the baby announcement he made me cry too!

Awesome, UA, as always!
as far as how they told Fernando... the older kids said they had something to tell their dad and found an innovative way to do that. Sebas said 'and its good news!' and the twins said 'that Dad will love!' 'it is paternity!'... Luz added 'in Ana's belly!'.. it was Ana who finally said 'a new being began to exist!'
this was a bit much on the wedding night of Bruno/Manuela.
However, it was cute that Manuela said to Fanny '(hashtag sign) hashtag it will happen tonight! (finally!)

yes, thank you Urban! for all the work and for the comments from Mt Olympus... those were always right on target. esp including Estefania.

Carolina
I'm sorry for naming the wrong person in my previous post. I realized afterwards that it was not meant for you.

I have tried accessing recaps of old novelas using only IE on my laptop and on my cell and; I haven't been able to access a majority of them. Since I've tried them all with no success: Firefox, IE, Dolphin, and Google, I might be doing something wrong

But for me it isn't a pain to use Delicious.com and view them that way unless or until I learn a better way.

While in College, I very well remember the change over from bundles and bundles of keycards to PCs. At that time, engineering students only had to learn Basic and Fortran.

So anyone who is familiar with coding and the rapidly changing IT world, like yourself, has my upmost regard and admiration.

How do you all feel about how they told Fernando? While it fits with the tone of the series I would think that a woman who is pregnant for the first time would want to tell her husband herself. Alone.

These two will have major problems without better boundaries.

Big fashion fail for Bruno on his wedding day and while Manuela looked pretty I would have preferred to see her in something vintage 40s. She has the right look for that.

ITA with you Urban. To me, Bruno's campesino wedding outfit didn't jive with the place, with the time, or wothers what we know about Bruno--always dressed immaculately in his uniform without a hair out of place.
Manuela's outfit did, however, fit with her daily wardrobe choice.

Just fabulous, UA. Loved your recaps and hope that Estefania is as well rewarded by divine forces as you suggest. She is a generous and good woman.

Loved all the sweet touches in tonight's show. I am enjoying Ana's exuberance without the screeching. Not sure what happened but she is as appealing as she has ever been and her relationship with Fernando is lovely. The kids were cute and I had to laugh at the twins' use of the hose of Pablo. And Bruno and Manuela's wedding was well done.

Even Johnny (graying at the temples now) is winning me over. Yikes.

Now if only we didn't have the compulsively-eating Bruja out to get the good guys in new and nefarious ways.

I'm going to miss your recaps UA, they were very entertaining!

The episode to me was pretty "Meh". Not much went on of note.

I did like the way they told Fer that Ana was pregnant.

I was going to tear into Edith for her phoniness and Ximena for her childish behavior but I'm not. I blame the writers for insulting our intelligence and rehashing the exact same scenario with Edith/Ximena/Nando. Only this time Ximena and Edith switched places. I'm done wasting brain cells on this stupid part of the story. It has gone on far to long and they need to put it to rest. I did wish Fanny would've been more vocal about Edith playing with her brother. She just smiled and acted like it was no big deal.

I was pretty bored with this episode, hope tomorrow is better.

Ah, so bio-baby-daddy is evil!

I was liking where this plot was going. I thought that Jenny and Johnny were completely unreasonable when the bio-daddy showed up. After all, he is the baby's father. JeJo should have been happy that the baby had a father that wanted her, but no, instead the story made it look like bio-daddy was some monster that wanted to take the poor baby away from JeJo.

Add to it the ominous music played every time that bio-daddy came on screen. I actually thought they would use Darth Vader's theme.

Then we are exposed to the truth: Bio-daddy just wants to make a buck by selling the baby back to JeJo! Ugh, hat lost it for me.

For those that did not like Bruno's choice of wedding attire. I agree, he should have worn something more mainstream. The attire he wore might be "campesino" as someone mentioned, but it is also the classical formal attire of the people of Veracruz. Both their outfits are revered because they represent a culture, so I can understand why they wore it. Her dress was beautiful, accompanied by the apron and the shawl and was fitting for a wedding, but he should have broken tradition and wore something more elegant.

Whatever, they are married now and as we saw, Bruno did not wear the classical Veracruz attire for long!

I also agree with Bryan. The NandoEdXi story is beyond ridiculous. And what is up with him? Doesn't he shave anymore? He looks like he is wearing a 10PM shadow! Is that supposed to be cool?

:-)

Wayyyy of topic:

I'll digress entirely for a few dozen words...

Are any of you computer programmers? Or into computers or their history? If so maybe this will interest:

Dartmouth 1964 BASIC

Now back to our regular programming :-)

Awesome Salvador. Boy am I getting old fast.

Didn't mind how Fer was told about the baby. All their big announcements are made en familia.

Victoria - No problema, amiga. I thought you probably had the wrong person. Those keycards were a nightmare. :)

UA, your caps are art and seems so effortless.

"Unknown Room With Institutional Walls"

While I have no problem with Bruno and Manuela's attire and wedding, still scratching my head over the Bruno/Betty thing, just stooooopid.

With you Salvador on Juan/Jen/David baby thing.

Gosh, Angel and Magda so outta place and can tell the story line an eleventh hour add on.

I also liked Edith until now. She's creepy and understand why Ximena is walking on eggshells. Never bought into Nando having two 20 year old college girls wanting him though.

Laughed every time Isabela shown laying about stuffing her face with junkfood. Otherwise, it is absolutely amazing how much these people can do in one TN day.

UA, what is there to say but THANK YOU for all your amazing recaps. I will so miss our resident commentators from Mt. Olympus.

I have to agree with you that having Fer be the last one to find out about the new baby had me head scratching. Seems he being the last to know anything got them in trouble before, or was this a way to make all that go away? I don't know, guess I'm the dad should be the first to know and then blab to everyone else.

Now I know we know that Jen and Johny don't know that David is a crud. Finally. But here's the thing, if it was an honest guy coming for the daughter he didn't know he had, threatening him and refusing to hand over the baby would not be cool. Wish they had written that differently but it came off as justified because of what we discover on this guy. The writing sometimes....

I found Isa amusing last night. At each visit on what she was planning as she saw what she was losing her snacks grew accordingly. Now that was a funny touch. Going to lose that girlish figure and the slammer...I can see it.

I'm hoping the whole Nando thing ends with him ending anything with either girl. Just me.

Not a fan of the twins' behavior but it's our "comic relief" it seems. Stealing the license, though it ended with everyone showing up...still not cool.

Daisynjay

Urban, thanks for another wonderful recap. I have greatly enjoyed your imagination and writing skills during this novela.

I especially enjoyed:

Pablo hiding in the bushes.

Isabela stuffing her face with popcorn.

The twins.

Manuela and Bruno's wedding attire.

Daisynjay, I also hope that Nando ends up with neither girl no matter who ends it. He is in way over his head.

Jarifa

We've previously discussed the age issue about Nando and these two sick girls and concluded that to them he is "safe." He's a nice boy, he's cute (both were smart enough to see that when he was in Nerd Mode), and he comes from a healthy family. That his family is also rich doesn't hurt, either.

Ximena went after him when she was in nympho mode and Edith saw him as someone safe whose intelligence she could respect.

Current prediction re our Evil Stepmother: She will end up fat and in prison.

Speaking about the twins and their pranks and if they will grow out of them...
i just had a vision... that the twins were the handsome version of 'impractical jokers'...
I hope not, but that is the vision i just got. so i hope the gods are right in that they will grow out of the 'prank' fever and be good honorable men.

Once upon a time there was a morning talk show with a female host who once addressed the issue of men and plastic surgery. The guests on her show were mostly guys whose work somehow required attractiveness and most had minor work done, such as removing a bump on the nose, a subtle chin implant, etc. One guy had both and it significantly changed his profile. He was a bartender and a comedian who wanted to be an actor. After the surgery he said "Now I don't have to be funny anymore."

Alex and Guille do things that are childish despite their cleverness. When they're old enough and get interested in girls they'll turn their creativity to other things. I know I've said this before but since they have three sisters they will know more about girls than guys who have none. That will be a serious advantage for them.

Very true, UA. having older sisters is definitely an advantage... esp when the age difference is big. not so much an advantage for Nando since both he and Fanny basically started dating around the same time so neither served as an 'example' to the other... but when you have a much older sister (say the age difference between Fanny and the twins)it definitely is more useful information.

It has been clear from the beginning that Edith was an oppurtunist. She wanted Nando since she first laid eyes on him. When Xime went to recovery for her bipolar disorder, Edith wasted no time in trying to snatch him away from Xime. Edith is very good at playing the victim, but she has never fooled me. Lenin loves to control and mold little girls, I think Edith and Lennin would make a good match.

I don't see Edith that way at all. She is an example of the walking wounded. She isn't someone looking for a rich man to solve her problems.

Laura is that kind of opportunist. She boinked Enfrique to get her tuition paid to the more elite school. She is also much sicker in that she deliberately goes after guys who are "taken" in order to steal them from other girls who were supposed to be her friends.

Laura is damned lucky that she was able to get away from Enfrique before he made demands on her that she couldn't satisfy.

I agree with UA re: Edith.

Edith is used to being on her own. The one thing I find disturbing about her is the tattoos.

I realize that tattoos are more mainstream than they were a generation ago, but the ones visible above a normal blouse neckline are potential job-stoppers. That butterfly would be beautiful if it were painted on for Carnivale or Halloween, but as a permanent thing it's more like mutilation to me. She said it earlier: She gothed because it protected her by making her look scary to others. However, the butterfly is taking this to a different level. It's a great symbol in the sense of coming out of a cocoon, but if that was what it was meant to be, why didn't she get it put on a shoulder blade or a hip instead?

Depends on Edith's career choice. If she stays in the "arts" field in some capacity, those tattoos wouldn't be job stoppers. In a more conservative or education environment, yeah.

But I see it a lot with kids I work with or know in my area. It's fun when in school to get into the piercing and tattoo fads, schools don't discourage it ( our local high school won't let you wear a hoodie, but oi the piercings and hair colors!) then they want jobs in fields where it isn't either allowed or it could be your make or break. Suddenly the weird hair colors stop, the piercing go away and they are doing whatever to cover the tattoos for interviews and in their dress, or the go thru the whole removal process. It's funny that the tatto parlors near me have been closing lately, but doctors in the area are reporting a sharp uptick in tattoo removal!

One thing that hit me last night with the whole adoption thing, the girls and Lenin use to spend so much time at the home, had made friends with the girls, etc and suddenly none are there now for them it seems. Sort of sad. Those girls loved listening to Lenin read.

Daisynjay

Thank you, Urban, for your excellent recaps, and thank you, Olympians, for the divine commentary. I thoroughly enjoyed every posting and screenshot!

Lenin would have been good intellectually for Edith but he has a Pygmalion complex. That would get on her nerves faster than it did on Fanny's.

As for the girls at the charity house, I can see Fanny persuading Leon to help them by giving them art lessons. While he has less time on his hands than Lenin did it could be a weekly thing. Not to mention that if Leon could negotiate a half-day off per week for this with his future father-in-law, it would make the company look good.

DaisynJay, good observation that the charity house is running out of volunteers... time to do something about it...
UA, great idea.
I can also see Bruno and Fernando taking Leon to the hospital to give the kids their own profile illustrations or quick caricatures (like we find in malls or amusement parks)
it would put a smile on their faces and give Leon and Fernando time to spend together on common interests outside the office.

Thank you, Urban!
I didn't have the time to watch, but your screen-shots did the trick.

Daisy, I'm with you on Nando and his women : I hope they both dump him for being so fickle and, you know, only 17.

So how many kids will Fernando have when the new baby comes? 9? What if Ana has twins? How rich is this guy, anyway? They definitely need a bigger house now. Alicia needs to have her own room and Seb will need the same pretty soon.

About the twins: I feel like they could have used them better than just making them the pranksters. All the other kids had sole sort of storyline, but the twins were just part of the background. It would have been fun to see them not be totally in sync over some issue or have them switch places at some point.
I guess now it's too late and we did have too many kids to keep track of.

My gut tells me that Fanny will marry Leon anyway and Alicia will get her room.

Ana's room is now vacant because she is in the master bedroom.

There are 10 bedrooms for "upstairs" occupants, so they can be distributed thusly:

1: Ana and Fernando
2: Fanny (soon to move out), then Alicia
3: Nando (who will probably go to a local college)
4: Sebastian
5: The twins
6: Luz
7: Nursery (DN and future hermanito)

8, 9, and 10 are now vacant. One or two should be guest rooms.

I'm guessing that Ana will have twins -- or more -- because it will be making up for lost time for her. If that is the case she will need a nanny because all these kids will be more than she can handle alone.

And what if Manuela gets pregnant?

Next question: What happened to Diego's apartment? I don't recall anything about him selling or subletting it. And if Dorofeo owns that building, shouldn't it be among seized assets when he got arrested? If that's the case and these things take time to happen in DF, Diego can move in with Fernando until he finds another place while Jezebela has nowhere to go.

I think Soledad is still staying where Nico then Diego used to stay in the house. that leaves two rooms... one for the new baby(ies) (esp if the new one/+ is girl) and one more... so still have at least 1 guest room for whenever Diego/Nico stay there. If Manuela and Bruno have kids they would live in their quarters, not in the family level. not that the Lascurains would not consider them family but i don't see Bruno feeling comfortable with their children being away from them.
and yes, i see Bruno and Manuela getting a single room and Ana bringing in someone to help with the little ones at least during the day when Fernando and the other ones that could help (Nando, Alicia, Luz, etc) are not there.

Agreed that Manuela's hypothetical baby would be in her and Bruno's shared quarters, but who watches him while they work?

If Soledad stays permanently she will happily help out, but can she handle all these kids? That leaves two vacant rooms unless they do get a new nanny.

Ana would have very serious requirements for someone like that.

I have not commented previously, but I am sure I speak for many "silent readers" who greatly appreciate the wonderful work by UA and all the recappers. As others have previously stated, the recaps have helped us push through a TN that has too frequently been sluggish, confusing, misguided, misdirected boring or simply annoying.

I am a huge fan of Jarocha traditional-style dress and music from Veracruz. We knew that Manuela was from Veracruz, where she fled and Bruno rescued her from the New Age cult. Don't know if we ever were told that he hailed from there as well.

There is Nics house next door for overflow, don't recall he sold it after the divorce.

Will the nanny hire a nanny especially during her pregnancy? If she does don't let any of the Lascurain men (& boys) anywhere near her.

If I were Ana I would hire a mature, maternal lady at least ten years older than myself but not quite Soledad's age.

I don't recall Nick's place (where Jen lived with him) being next door to this mansion. I don't remember how far away it was supposed to be.

Thank you again Urban for the wonderful recaps.
The inside and the outside of the Lascurain mansion don't seem to match, of course. The outside shots indicate a structure that would have 6 or 8 bedrooms. So why would we have 3 boys sharing a bedroom? This happens on American tv shows too.

There have been worse mistakes regarding interiors and exteriors of houses on TV. I don't think that the producers think about this most of the time.

The other day I realized that I had a grand total of over 2700 screen grabs over 35 articles. I can't do that again next time; I will have to try to limit it to 30 per article.

But I will wait for a new series. I need a little rest.

Thanks UA. I will miss your recaps. Hope I end up watching the next one you decide to recap. I know we won't see the last of the Pantheon, either.

Mau has become quite the little ham.

I was a little disturbed about the whole family turning up for Bruno's and Manuela's wedding. They wanted to get married in secret. That should have been respected. Unless they only wanted to do that to spare the family any inconvenience.

I thought Jen got the house in the settlement. Didn't she sell it to have money to give to the charity house?

That's what I thought. I hope she didn't give away all the money.

Our friends on Mount Olympus are still interfering with what's happening here even if I am not chronicling. I will convey their messages from tonight to the end.

UA: will we see the Pantheon commenting with the rest of us on other TNs in the near future? Or will they be saving themselves for the next TN you recap?

It will depend on the story type. This will be more fun with a comedy than a drama, but I will have to see.

I thought that Diego's apartment was in the same building as ENRIQUE'S, not Isabela's. I don't remember that Gordofeo owned that one also. And if he rented, I'm sure he didn't hang on to it while he was gone all those months, that would be dumb.

Oops; you're right. He was Enfrique's neighbor.

There's a writing fail in that because the writers never made anything of it. I'll start my list of things to kvetch about at the end.

I think the whole upstairs is nothing but bedrooms and bathrooms. so if they have shots of the entire front of the house you have to multiply the count of windows by at least 2-3 to get the amount of bedrooms. and that would not be all since it shows there is a u-shaped hallway that has bedrooms in the middle of the house as well, so we would estimate there are at a minimum 2 bedrooms at each outerwall side of the house plus at least 4 more bedrooms on the inside (the boys room, Nando's room and Diego's old room at least are in the inner side of the hallways and have no windows.

as far as Nico, he lives in a house 'by the beach' due to his health issues living near the city... doctor prescribed near ocean so he has a beach house that cannot be any less than an hour's drive from Toluca (where the Lasc mansion is).
They also had the 'malinalco' house in the hills and i think they still have that.
and Nico had bought a house for him and Jen to live when they got married, and I believe that is the house he left for her when he left for Switzerland.

never mind Toluca is dead center of Mex from east to west, about same N/S level as Mex City so you are looking at several hours drive or plane to get to the ocean from Toluca.

UA, make sure you include the whereabouts of 'Nando' the ferret. where did it go??

How is Isa & her co-horts causing chaos so far?

Fernando is now the father of 9 KIDS! 9 KIDS!

Thanks UA, what is coming up after this one?

I thought the episode was ho hum too. Always the theatrics every time there is an announcement to be made.

I think that David is planning of offering Aura up for some money. No doubt they will pay. I also think it's too bad they didn't portray Jonny the way he is now from the very beginning. I wouldn't dislike him so much if they did.

Amores Con Trampa, the next novela at 8:00.

The quick synopsis:
Una familia vende una mina al gobierno y deben adaptarse a vivir en la metrópoli.

Sounds a bit like the Beverly Hillbillies. Is this a comedy?

From the previews it looks like a comedy, but it looks stupid to me. While I like both Ed Yanes and Africa Zavala, I'm not feeling them as a couple. Plus, I can't stand Itati Cantoral and EY's weird mustache is a total turnoff. Dislikes outweighs likes on this one ... I'll pass.

Isabela's punishment should be to become fat and have to get a job as a nanny.

Gees, if they marry Fanny off right away, ARGH! Nando going AWAY to college I can see. Fanny could barely keep up with all the happenings, if he studies the complex stuff he is into, no way could he be at home and get serious studying done. I sort of hope they don't care there with twins again. I mean, really? Guess they are aiming for a full soccer team?

I saw those previews too for the next show and was totally turned off. I know this won't make me popular, but not a huge Yanez fan and I get the impression there will be just what was said, sort of Beverly hillbillies vibe to this next one. I don't watch as many comedies, it was Silvia and Jorge pulled me into this one. I'll stick with the fabulous Sombra.

UA, time to thank you for a series worth of unique, amazing and always entertaining recaps! They belong in the TV recapping Hall of Fame.

I am getting a big yawn vibe from the replacement show starring Big Ed Yanyez. (I got no tilda). Anybody know what is airing in that 8:00 PM slot on Telemundo? Apologies if someone has already asked this.

I also like Eduardo Yanez, but Africa Zavala does nothing for me.

And... he's 25 years older than she is. That is just not right.

I was not a fan of the Beverly Hillbillies and didn't care much for UFCS (except for Popeye and Abejita). I'll take a look, but that's it. I will try to catch up to Sombra, though. I refuse to be without novelas just as I can't be without opera!

I might not watch much of the ACT either. hate the idea of Ernesto LaGuardia involved in this type of BH stuff. he might be able to do comedy but this is too over the top... i will work on my health and get in shape instead. Sombra looks like a good remake of El Manantial, but there is too much stuff i could predict to watch and comment. so i will stay away from that too. I am sort of liking the chemistry between Mark Tacher and Zuria Vega in QTPD even with the dark plotline. Also know the gist of the story so not watching full time either.

I feel the same about being without a novela to watch. Am either going to start watching Sombra or FELS online. Or I might start watching Hasta.

Africa Zavala is HOTTTTTT!!!

I will be giving "Amores con trampa" a try. The promo did have that Beverly Hillbillies feel which would be fine by me. I need some "funny" every day. HEFDM is enough drama for me.

Jarifa

I don't care for Yañez either. And also not a Beverly Hillbillies fan or a televisa comedy fan either. La Sombra is good? I might have to catch up.

Jarifa, I'm with you. I'll give it a try.

Denise

La Sombra is good. Well pleased with it so far.

There is nothing "healthy" about this family.
-Don Fernando fails to use protection with Isabela and then marries her with out protection. He then marries her out of obligation while in "love" with another woman. He then breaks up with her and sleeps with Ana with out using protection.

-Don Nicolas marries a waitress that works in a night club. He then dumps her because her realizes he is too old and gross for her.

-Nando goes back and forth between women. At first he is with Ximena. She then leaves to seek treatment for her disorder. Edith swoops in and puts her claws into Nando. Nando now has no idea who he wants.

-Fanny breaks Lenin's heart as she toys around with him. She has no idea what she really wants.

-Alicia has snuck out of the house countless times. Her punishments never stick. She always gets out of it one way or another.

-The twins play pranks on anyone and everyone including vulnerable pregnant women. Fernando does not discipline them the way he should.

-Luz is the most adorable little girl ever and she knows it and unfortunately uses her charm to sleep in Ana's bed whenever she wants as well as getting whatever she wants.

They are one messed up and dysfunctional family.

I disagree. The only truly dysfunctional relationship within that family was between Fernando and Diego.

1. Fernando was caught off-guard and made a misguided decision.

2. Nick was sinking into depression because of his brush with death (which he only knows the half of even now).

3. Nando is 17! You can't expect him to understand this perfectly.

4. Fanny does not intentionally break Lenin's heart and even though she's two years older than Nando she doesn't know enough about this sort of relationship to know what she really should have done.

5. Alicia's behavior is normal for her age.

6. There was nothing vulnerable about Hissabela.

7. Luz does what works for her to get attention and it doesn't hurt anyone else.

I agree that these children need stronger discipline and better boundaries than they're getting, but they are not mean-spirited. They love each other and stick up for each other. They love their parents and respect most other adults and they're all good in school. Most people in the world would want their children to be like them.

There is love in that family and anyone who comes from a family that had none would sell their souls for that.

" ...sort of Beverly hillbillies vibe"

Sort of? The first time I saw the preview the Bev Hillbillies immediately came to mind! The concept is intriguing, but only if done right and I have not been able to use "right" and Televisa in the sentence. Even the original series got boring after a while.

"Africa Zavala is HOTTTTTT!!!"

Two TYLENOLs should fix that ;-)

I really hope they don't go the "buy the baby" route. I also hope they don't make the baby-daddy "disappear" by killing him off. This story went all wrong and I don't see any of the novella people wanting to fix this mess.

There is also the idea that Jenny had about buying Ana's share of the house where she and Johnny live. That just seemed to disappear, although I suspected that if they proposed this to Ana she would probably give them the house.

Zerobela just got boring. No more need to plow that story through. She should just meet some handsome hunk and forget all about the Lascurains. Unfortunately I am sure that she will end up fat, did anyone see Dodgeball, an Underdog Story?

I am not a robot, I am a meat Popsicle.

And wait... are the previews for Amor Con Trampa suggesting that the husband and wife of two different married couples will be getting together?

Amores Verdaderos again? Did not work for me.

Salvador, I couldn't deal with Amores Verdaderos either. I had to bail on that one.

Urban

I'm really liking QTPD.. The acting is superb, and the writing is just far enough away from AMF to make the story interesting and with the added benefit that one isn't sure where the storyline will go. This early in the game, I think Angelli Nesma Medina is again turning out a good product with a gorgeous backdrop. I just hope she doesn't extend this novela to infinity.

It seems to be moving at a more rapid pace than AMF. Rebecca Jones is sooooo much better than Victoria Ruffo, and Sergio Goyri is doing a great job as the sleezebag, douchbag, corrupt, menacing, pedophile, rapist that César Évora played in AMF, with the added bonus that SG isn't nearly as good looking as CE. It's just hard to imagine so many women falling head over heels for SG. He wears great cowboy hats but that's about the only interesting thing about him.

Anyhow, I'm liking QTPD,and have no interest in watching another comedy, especially one that pairs AZ and EY with their 25 some odd year age difference. Unfortunately it seems that not many people are on board.

I wonder if that one is on the air in Mexico. I don't have Hulu + so I can't see it that way.

Urban, Right on about the Lascurian kids !! All I ever asked of our children was to treat others as they would want others to treat them and to be a productive member of society and not intentionally hurt anyone.
I think the Lascurain kids are something to be proud of.

Urban, QTPD started in Mexico on February 16th so not that much has happened. The Caray recaps are very detailed and well done .

And I think they are short recappers due to unanticipated schedule changes. The scenery is spectacular.
