Mi Corazon Es Tuyo, #152. The Big Reveal

Finally, I get to recap some action! It's been weeks!

We begin with Ana off to pack and the twins asking when Fer and Ana will get married. Fer wants to do it soon, in a few weeks. A knock at the door. A porter brought a... I have no idea what that is, looks like an orchid stem and a christmas ornament hanging off a white twig in a red vase, to Fanny, from León. Meanwhile, Reina gives León a pep talk to continue fighting for her.

Margarita is walking Mau home, she gets a cold feeling as she enters. Enrique is now stalking León’s home, swearing vengeance on everyone.

Nighttime now back at the mansion, Ana shows Soledad her ring. Soledad asks about Ana telling Fernando about her other job, and she tells her that she will tell him tonight. I hope it’s before she dances, but I doubt it.

Margarita is sending León out to get pastries and as he leaves, Enrique, who obviously has been standing there for hours, stabs León in the stomach. How did he know León would be leaving? Was he prepared to stay there all night?

Ana is setting Fer up for what she wants to tell him.  She wants him to remember how much she loves him, and will always love him with all her heart. She is going to tell him everything. He’s puzzled, of course. But first, remember when we first met, blah blah blah, I love you, kiss, kiss, kiss. She leaves???? WTH? TELL HIM ALREADY!!!!

Nando goes to visit Edith, she answers the door and hugs and kisses him. He stands there stiffly and tells her they need to talk. I guess it ain’t Edith.

Bruno comes into Fer’s office to offer congratulations. He gives him an envelop that was delivered while he was away. He opens it and it reads, Sr. Lascuráin, I want you to know who the real nanny for your children is. Attend El Chicago tonight to have your answer.

Oh, somehow León managed to drag himself back home and Reina cries over him. Margarita is praying to virgencita, and Mau is trying to act sad, poor little actor, he hasn’t nailed this emotion down yet,  while the medics take León away.

Ana is visiting Jonny and and Jen showing her ring and saying she’s going to tell Fer everything.

Back to Nando, no, it’s not Edith and she’s going to smear her ugly black makeup all over her crying face. Well, the makeup isn’t running, so that means it’s waterproof, and a bugger to take off. That’s probably why she sleeps in it. Nando calls Fanny to cry on her shoulder, really? how did he expect Edith to react to being not the chosen one, and to ask why Ximena isn’t answering her phone. Maybe she’s decided she wants a guy who isn’t in his teens as a boyfriend, I can only hope. She gives him her address.

At Chicago, Fer arrives for his answer. He sits nervously at a table.

León has made it to the hospital alive and is in surgery.

Back at Chicago, Isa is now there in her disguise to watch Fer see Ana. Seriously, Isa has manicured long fingernails, no one notices this as odd for a man?  Ana is on the phone with Fanny while she gets ready for her dance, she’s going to tell Fer right after her last dance, but we all know Ana is going to let pictures tell the story instead.

Nando arrives at Ximena’s apartment and she’s not answering the door. Maybe Nando made the wrong choice. Edith is obviously more available.

Ana gets her intro and comes out to dance. Fer sees it all. Isa gloats.

Fanny asks Bruno where Fer is and he tells her that he got a letter and ran out. Right before Fanny was going to see the letter, Reina calls Fanny to tell her about León and she runs out to head to the hospital. But Bruno, being the good butler that he is, stops to read the letter. Bruno talks to Manuela about it. Nando enters and wants to know what they are talking about.

By now, Fernando has got to be wondering why Ana played the shy virginal type in the bedroom while they were at the beach. She has no problem showing her bod in front of  a group of cheering men. They eventually make eye contact, he looks puppydog hurt and she looks embarrassed. Isa continues to gloat.  If only Ana had told him before she left the house and even invited him to see her last show. Sigh.

Ana is franticly searching for her shoes in her dressing room as Isa walks in to gloat some more. Ana now knows who was behind it. Ana can’t defend herself, but she’ll die trying. Ana does get the satisfaction of slugging Isa though.

On the way home, We get an montage of Fernando remembering their first meeting, etc, and the time he went to Chicago and met Lola. He now realizes they are the same person. He knows she’s been doing this for a long time.

Avances: Fer calls off the engagement.

Ana, oh well. You had a chance to come clean. Many chances, actually.

I am glad to see her punch Isacrazy out, though.

Freaky told Leon to tell Fanny that she is next.

Thank you Cathyx, lots happening for sure.

"Seriously, Isa has manicured long fingernails, no one notices this as odd for a man?"

While I cheered the beatdown Ana gave Isabela for gloating, this was not caused by Isabela.

Funny, Isabela looked shocked after she got her butt kicking. What did she expect?

Ana has had nearly a year to come clean. How was she gonna tell him after her last dance? Uh, I lied again to you tonight so I could dance at the club, but don't worry none, it's my last lie about my very recent past.

The look on Fernando's face heartbreaking and understand his weeping as he recapitulated the elaborate long term deceit.

If Edith resumes with Nando should Ximena not be available, I'll scream.

I was shocked Ricky stabbed Leon. Knew he was gonna do something but it still caught me by surprise. I hope this doesn't become the reason Fanny reunites with him, but maybe she will sit still and he not snort in anger long enough to have a civil chat.

Anon207, I missed Enrique telling Leon that, but if he meant to kill him, how did he think Leon was going to deliver the message?

Tofie, it will be the reason Fanny gets back with Leon. The writing has been on the wall for a long time that they will reunite. I just figured that Leon was going to rescue her from Enrique and that would be the reason.

Could Xi have committed suicide? This TN is going very dark a la PEAM.

Nanette, I was wondering something similar. That she took her drugs and drank alcohol and is laying there unconscious.

agree it is the reason, cathyx, but I wish otherwise. Leon's stabbing does not resolve their/his issues.

Don't want anything bad for Ximena, just hope she wised up, gathered her self respect, and moved on.

Yes, there was a lot going on in this episode.

Edith's behavior after Nando told her of his decision should've showed Nando that he made the right decision. She needs major psychological help. I guess we were suppose to feel sorry for her and see her pain, but all I saw was a psychotic woman who showed she can't handle any type of adversity. I thought for a minute she might grab something and try to kill him. I still think a woman like could try to hurt Nando or Ximena. I do like the twist with Ximena not responding to Nando or Fanny. Maybe she hooked up with the doctor?

I also like how the reveal was done. I think that Fer played his part perfectly. He was genuinely hurt, but I think what pains him more was the fact that all the clues were there in front of him and he didn't put it together. The one think they left out of the montage was when Fer, Bruno and Johnny were stopped by the police in the Van and Fer saw the clothes and questioned it. If that was in the montage we would know that he would realize that Johnny knew also.

I do think that Ana has some outs. She could tell him that she tried to tell him but things kept interrupting her(Like at the hotel when the kids showed up).

I did put myself in Fer's shoes and I would've felt humiliated and embarrassed. More so at myself for not seeing the signs and questioning them more. As far as trust is concerned, it would be hard going forward but I think that they will end up being together.

Also, can't see Edith accepting Nando back if Ximena is not in the picture but if that did happened they are both idiots. Nando for going back to a terribly insecure and dangerous woman and Edith for not having self-respect and accepting being 2nd choice.

Oh yeah, when Ana was pummeling Isa, I was yelling, "Not the face, not face." lol. My wife was not amused.

Congrats cathyx on having some good stuff to recap. Looks like we finally turned the page to get into ultimates and some new action.

I'm actually glad this whole secret business is over, but watching Fer was tough: well done by Jorge showing all the shock and emotions during his watching of Ana and then breaking down at home. Now comes the heartache of seeing the kids seeing the two split? That will be even worse.

With Eeeky on the loose, etc. this split won't last long. Mr. Creepy Dude is working down his list with varying degrees of hurt. Putting Ana in danger or any of the kids would seem the scenario to move them back together.

Are getting the predictable pairings we were thrown from the very beginning, whether they make sense or not? I guess nothing like an attempted murder to make you forget why your relationship wasn't working, the perfect TN cliché and I'll agree, this will give us the Leon/Fanny pair up again. I will swallow having him miraculous be able to deal with her behavior issues, but there better not be a retcon on Fanny deciding she really is only set to be wife and mother and forgets about school.

Is Nando's choice more coupled with guilt that Ximena went thru all her changing for him? I think her suddenly doing another suicide attempt would be a horrible way to put those two together as a couple. I'm more hoping she left town, but this is Osorio. Please, Nando with no one as a forever person.

Next episode will be a tough one, but I am curious who now takes care of the kids, especially little Diego? Would he let Ana keep being the nanny?

Daisynjay

Sorry, stupid Kindle--meant Leon's behavior issues. :(

Daisynjay

Good work, Cathyx. And I catch the aftermath of this one.

Enfrique would have waited all night; remember that the rules of logic do not apply to psychos.

I am not shocked that he stabbed Leon. In his mind Leon took Fanny, whom Enrique wanted to claim as his property. She was going to be the primary route to his revenge against Fernando and if Laura was disgusted after having had sex with him we can only imagine what degrading acts he would have forced Fanny through. Not only that, but Enfrique had threatened Leon he would go after his family. If he was willing to kill a child.... you get it.

Diva should have noticed that something was up with Hissabela long before this.

Bruno should have been suspicious about the envelope with no return address.

Nando? I'm surprised he boinked Ximena in the first place because of her causing his humiliation at the school dance. Edith would be foolish to take him back if it comes to that.

As to Ana pummeling Isabitch, good for her; she's had it coming for a long time. I wish Ana had knocked out a couple of teeth or broken her nose in the process, but there will be worse ahead for Isabitch when Karmageddon is ready to strike.

I was wrong about the date for that. If this ends on #176 and there are no more pre-emptions, the finale will air on Thursday, 3/26.

Great recap of a great episode, cathyx, thanks!!!!!

I thought Margarita was never going to stop screaming and call an ambulance. Geez, León could have bled to death in the time she was screaming.

Fernando and Isabela's disguises matched in a weird sort of way.

Well done scene with Fernando witnessing Ana's pole dance. They both seemed to show their age with Fernando looking worn out and Ana with her serious expression looking very "hard" during her performance.

Loved the showdown between Isabella and Ana with Isabella's imitation of Ana "en el tubo tubo" and taunting Ana for being a "teibolera" --a stripper. Of course Ana punching her out was the highlight. Mayrín Villanueva has done an excellent job throughout.

Well, we all knew there would be hell to pay. Monday should be good.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that if Ana had told Fernando up front that this was her part-time night job she would never have been able to stay on as the nanny.

As for whether she will now, I doubt it. She has a home of her own and a new job to go to or she could live with Soledad for a while. Do you serioiusly think she'd want to stay in that house after the rejection we're all anticipating?

Speculation: Fernando will hire a new nanny whom the twins will scare off. Beatriz will become his confidante and tell him he's making a mistake about Ana. Diego and Nick will have to come back to echo that.

What I hope won't happen: Ana will put her life on the line to save one or more of the children from Enfrique and we will have a mirror-image of what we all think will happen with Fanny and Leon. I want Fernando to understand why Ana didn't tell him about Chicago.

Hope Ana doesn't try any, I started to tell you "but" we were interrupted or if it wasn't for so and so I would have told you or the timing was bad or I ran out of time. They spent a night in jail, and Fernando poured out his heart, she should & could have done the same without telling him she loved him. That I bet would have shut him up.

I agree that it was no business of Fernando's, what she did as her job initially as long as it didn't affect her performance as a nanny. Where she missed is when Doroteo came to the house threatening or when it became a romantic relationship after the divorce or when Fernando assisted in finding Soledad. Anytime before the guy put a ring on her finger. I don't like how initially Fanny & Soledad were encouraging her to tell, then went silent and then told her to wait.

Ana's last dance at Chicago after 10 years when out with a whimper, no tearful goodbys, cheers, bills and roses from the crowd.

Whoopsie, I was criticizing the time Reina was crying over León.

Jarifa

Ana didn't get any last dance accolades because she ran off the stage in the middle of it.

Bryan: wondered the same thing about Xi and the doc. Maybe Nando didnt choose either one.

Yes, maybe Nando was going to tell Ximena that she wasn't the one he picks either. Maybe he's smart enough to know he needs to not date either of them.

I agree that the jail cell presented a great opportunity for Ana to tell Fernando about Chicago, including that Dorofeo refused Diego's offer to pay off Ana's debt. He would have been a captive audience then.

But imagine how embarrassing that would have been once they knew there was a camera.

Wow, Cathyx, you got a great show and you did it justice.
Now I predict about a dozen shows of tears and sorrow and then a reconciliation and maybe a wedding before all is said and done. I'd like to see them being married before the FIN, to maybe get the chance to see them act like a normal, mature couple, not a pair of teenagers.

I am trying to care about Nando's love life but just cannot. When he kept trying to explain to Edith and wouldn't shut up and leave, I see he'll be just like granddaddy Nic. Hey, I love you, oops how inconvenient, it's not you it's me, see ya.

Guess I didn't give Juan enough credit and blasted him in his assumption Ana would work at his workshop without asking. His timing pretty good, he does know Ana pretty well and she may need a job.

I'm having some technical difficulties with the next episode. Just a heads' up against the possibility that the article will be a little late or may suffer a little in quality.

In the words of the Aardvark: Technology....Phooey!

Someone mentioned before that if Nando did not choose Edith, that could pave the way for an Edith/ Lenin hookup. Wonder if that is where this going?

Great recap!

Bryan: "not the face " made me laugh.

Ana has no one but herself to blame. But glad she hit Isa.

I think Freaky stabbed Leon purposely in a place that wouldn't immediately kill him so he could deliver the message to Fanny.

Does anyone see a scenario where Ana doesn't move out? Maybe Fer calls off engagement but she stays? Idk

I definitely think Ana would move out and not stay on as a nanny. Way too awkward for her to stay.

But maybe she thinks if she stays she can win him back. Plus not lose the kids she loves so much... just ideas

Ana was mumbling something about the reason she lied was because she became attached to the kids and didn't want to lose them, perhaps if she uses that one, and sticks to it, Fernando will let her keep the nanny job if she wants it.

If she leaves the younger kids will blame Fernando, no way they could understand what went down. Poor Luz.

How will the kids understand that the engagement is off? Tell them the truth? lol.

CathyX, thank you very much! Thoroughly enjoyed the ep and your recap of "the great reveal".

I thought it was a bit coy of Ana to be "embarrassed" to reveal herself to Fernando in the baby doll nightie. As someone mentioned, she has had no problem displaying herself in much skimpier outfits in front of strangers. But oh well. The cat is out of the bag. I feel bad for the children.

J in Oregon

I think the reason Ana was shy in her night gown was because she was in front of a man she truly cares about and loves. The other men in the club (that she parades around for) mean nothing but a solid paycheck to her. She actually cares about what Fernando thinks due to the fact that they are in love with each other. His opinion matters.
Minnesota girl

Welcome Minnesota girl: good point.

Off topic: just saw 2011 romantic comedy "Labios rojos"(no Univision censorship here. LOL) with Jorge Salinas and Silvia Navarro in the leads. Fun movie that can be found on Youtube.

Jarifa

Is Isabela's baby daddy reveal far behind?

BTW, thank you cathyx for the recap.

"Ana is franticly searching for her shoes in her dressing room as Isa walks in to gloat some more. Ana now knows who was behind it. Ana can’t defend herself, but she’ll die trying. Ana does get the satisfaction of slugging Isa though." (Fave.)

I think Nando made a bad decision. As Urban said earlier, Ximena started out in the Mean Girls Club. She only hooked up with Nando because she felt sorry for him when he took a nasty blow to the head. And I don't like the way that Ximena decided to copycat Edith's career choice. Also, the twins didn't like Ximena, and I think they liked playing run-from-the-vampire with Edith. I don't think Ximena connected with the rest of the family, except for Fanny.

Oh Edith, if you really wanted to get Nando, why didn't you ditch the hair extensions and eyeshadow?

I agree about Edith and the goth look. She really needs to give that a rest.

Maybe Minnesota Girl, but doubt Fernando would buy it, Diego probably, Fernando no.

Young and hit the beach, totally uninhibited, not a shy bone in my body, but now, thank god for a wrap.

We don't know yet if Nando picked Ximena. He may decide to not have either one.

Lot's of possibilities that can happen with regards to the baby. Enrique may tell someone or YoMama. But I will stand by my earlier statement that the baby will remain with Fernando and Ana. They have already bonded with it and they will not be forced to give it up. I've not seen future episodes, but I can't imagine they would take the baby away from them at this point.

Minnesota girl, you hit in in the head. Ana's pole dancing is "performance" an "act" and has nothing to do with how she interacts with Fernando. So, yes she can be totally shy with him and that has nothing to do with her dancing. They are two different worlds for her. Too bad that there is still such a stigma attached to women in professions that have to do with sex. If there were no customers they would be out of business. Remember even Fernando was taken by Ana in her earlier disguise at the club.

Jarifa

I still think we may get a hint that Lenin and Edith will find each other after both being ditched by the tweens that they loved (I seem to still want to throw Fanny into the Tweens-phere.) Both characters have been played to show us their backgrounds, challenges, and some growth so throwing them into the maze never to see the light of day again would seem odd. Why go through all the trouble of making us like and understand them?

I think this is all going to depend on whether Osorio is planning to have all the kiddies 10 and over find their one true loves or not. Lord help us, that means a Pablo return too.

I am one of those leaning to that somehow Ana, maybe not right away, will somehow be back more to be with the kids than Fer. If Fer can melt down to anything, it's the sadness and hurt of his kids and whatever Ana did in her spare time, he has to recognize the love she had for the kids and how they changes/grew with her.

Plus, once he is done with initial hurt, he should remember he went there himself a few times, actually was enamored with a dancer (who he didn't know was Ana) and his own father married a woman who worked there, so what she wasn't a dancer herself. I think it's going to be shown he was more hurt at the secret keeping, and no matter how much we can say it's understandable to a point, the fact they got all the way to being engaged and she said nothing is a bit hard to take.

Daisynjay

I agree that Lenin is probably right for Edith. She's just the one who can knock his know-it-all thing down a bit and get him to be more down-to-earth.

I don't agree with the idea of a passion-free future for Ana and Fernando. They're both still too young for that. Although Ana will be more in tune with how painful this will be for the kids because of having grown up in an orphanage.

What Ana did was more than keeping a secret, she lied repeatedly and others covered for her as well. The look on his face was not of shock and scandal but crushing disappointment and betrayal. His montage in the car included times he could have or should have known but something like this never entered his mind. Yes, he was blinded by love but Ana lied and it actually got easier because he trusted her so completely and she was aware of that trust and betrayed it.

Hopefully, he'll also remember that he knew she harbored a secret that she anguished over.

Good point, Minnesota Girl. I agree.

UA, re: Where she missed is when Doroteo came to the house threatening or when it became a romantic relationship after the divorce or when Fernando assisted in finding Soledad. Anytime before the guy put a ring on her finger. and the fact that they had the perfect opportunity for her to come clean to him while they were locked up in the jail cell... and she passed on all those opportunities... esp those opportunities that came after Fernando sent Isa packing and the trip to the beach... even at the each... ANYTHING but taking the cowardly chance to count on the secret never coming out. I agree that the fact that others like Fanny, Soledad and Diego encouraging Ana not to tell was not the best advice.
And i agree that if Ana gets sent out, the kids missing her will be front and center of how she gets back to the house... and eventually their reconciliation, but as i have said it before this will be mostly an internal re-evaluation that Fernando has to do... and come to terms that Ana, just like everyone else, is human and should not be scrutinized as if she were perfect. It is not all Ana's fault, and i also agree that Fernando will blame himself for not having recognized the signs that were in front of him. But this should not be about faults but about being able to put mistakes and bad memories where they belong, in the past. and moving on with everything that is wonderful in their lives. Of course, that will be once all the loose end villains are taken care of.

tofie, i love your description of Fernando's reaction on the reveal: 'crushing dissappointment and betrayal'... and later on in the ride home some self-bashing too.

It was touching when Ana practically fell off the pole when she realized that Fernando was watching.

I've watched bits and pieces of the version from Spain, and Ana was actually a stripper in that version. It makes more sense that Ana would be so reluctant to tell her secret, and that Fernando would be so upset.

BTW: The Spanish version has a great entrance song (a cha-cha).

Gracias for the excellent recap, Cathyx.

Nando's brilliant, and Xi has the IQ of a potato, so their relationship will not likely work out, if, indeed, he does select her.

Ana's got some 'splainin' to do . . . What are the odds she's pregnant? I'd say pretty good, given Fer's track record.

Tofie - I miss your witty lists! They always made me laugh.

I'd say the odds strongly favor Ana being pregnant. Fernando has quite a track record on that and I didn't notice any talk about contraception.

Something Nando was smart about when he hooked up with Ximena. Who does have the IQ of a potato.

Well, finally the real turning point!
BTW Labios rojas is available on Netflix.

Watching Fernando's reaction and the scene in his car with him remembering all the times Ana hoodwinked him, was heartbreaking . He is going to feel so betrayed by all those around him who knew Ana's and didn't think him deserving of the truth.

What awesome acting on the part of JS.! Hope he wins 2015 Premios.

Bryan Fernando did realize that Johnny knew because he remembered Johnny coming to his office drunk screaming "you don't know who the real Ana is".

Minnesota girl & Jarifa You made a good, valid point about why Ana was shy in front of Fernando and not wanting to parade around half naked.

Jarifa One could even say that Fernando is being somewhat hypocritical because he was infatuated with Lola and probably would have taken the thing to the next level. But oh no, we are talking about the virginal women he fell in love with and wants to marry! Let's remember to keep the good little wife and seductive mistress separate. !

Tofie You nailed it when you said that the look on Fernando's face was not of shock and scandal but of crushing disappointmentioned and betrayal.

Marta You summed up my feelings, opinions, and thoughts perfectly. !!!

I want to extend my thanks and gratitude to all of you for supporting me with regards to the nasty comments of the other day. It meant a great deal to me and brought up a really valid point that personal attacks have no place on Caray.

Part 1 o 2

Fernando just sat there motionless, unable to think, unable to organize his thoughts. He could not take his eyes off Ana as she skillfully danced around the pole with grace and poise. He felt a thousand daggers stab his heart as he tried to assimilate this betrayal. Just as he thought he was lost in thought two of the club’s staffers walked by mentioned that Ana had been there for four years.

He couldn’t take anymore of this. He got up, his eyes still riveted to Ana. He then just stood there as though frozen. She moved from one pole to another. When she spun slowly around the pole nearest to him she saw him. She saw his expression of disbelief. She too was in disbelief that he had seen her. It was only after she completed the spin that she realized what had happened. She slid down and quickly exited the stage trying to catch up to him, but it was too late; he was gone.

Fernando quickly exited the club. He could hear Ana calling his name but he did not want to see her right now. He quickly got into his car and the chauffer drove away, heading back home. On the way Fernando’s thoughts were filled with flashes of events that at the time he had not understood. Quirky events that he had not given much thought, but all made sense now. That night he caught Ana sneaking in. Lola’s shades he had found in the bag that he had taken from Ana’s room, the closeness between Ana and Jenny and many more. As he got home he quickly went to the library, closing the door behind him.

Fannie arrived from the hospital to change into something more comfortable. She could not believe that anyone could do something so horrible to Leon. She went into the kitchen for something to drink .There she found Manuela and Bruno. Both seemed anguished. She remembered the letter that Bruno had mentioned.

“What happened? What is wrong” Fannie asked.

“Miss Fannie, it’s your father. Something is very wrong with him. It was that letter that started it all.” Bruno responded as he held the letter that he had found in front of him.

“Let me see that. “ she requested as she saw the letter.

Bruno was nto sure whether he should let her see the letter; he did not want to make it worse by her knowing, but she had already seen it and he and Manuela did not know what else to do, so he reluctantly handed it over to her. She quickly took and read it.
“Oh no!”, she gasped. “Where is he?” she asked.

“In the library”, were Bruno’s only words as Fannie darted out of the kitchen wit the letter in hand.

Fannie entered the library and found her father sitting behind his desk, tears rolling downs his cheeks.

“Dad, are you alright?”, she asked.

Part 2 of 2

Once Fernando saw Fannie in the library he quickly tried to wipe his tears. “I am fine, nothing is wrong” he answered in a nearly quivering voice, giving away that this was as lie. Fannie got close to him and placed the letter on the desk.

“You saw Ana dancing.” She said, not so much as a question, but as a fact.

Fernando quickly turned his gaze towards Fannie, again the disbelief.

“You knew?” he asked.

“Yes I did, and so did uncle Diego and my grandfather.” She quickly answered.

“Why didn’t any of you say something?” he said, partly angered and partly defeated.

“Because we were all afraid that you would react as you are doing now. Ana is the kids’ nanny, she is my confidant, and she is your love of your life. How does her dancing take any of this away?”

“She betrayed me, she betrayed my trust” – he answered bitterly.
Fannie seemed disconcerted. She then reached into her purse and got her cell phone.

“Before you judge her too harshly let me show you this.” She operated the phone and a video came on. Fernando watched as Doroteo and the city official made the deal.

“Ana, Dana, Johnny and Jenny risked their lives to get this video to force Doroteo to release Ana from her contract. She wanted to stop dancing because of you. Once you proposed to her she wanted to start a new life with you telling you all about her experience at the Chicago. She wanted to tell you, but was scared; first of losing her job then of losing the kids and now of losing you.”

Fannie moved away from the desk as she put away the cell phone. She saw that her father was again lost thought in thought. She needed to say one last thing to him before she left him alone.

“You just have to think about one thing. Do you love Ana more than hate what she had to do?”
Fannie exited the library. She found Ana had arrived and was about to enter the library. She saw that Ana had been crying. Without words she and Ana hugged. Fannie gave Ana a smile and a reassuring look. Ana entered the library and closed the door behind her.

*** ***

I wish! Except that Fannie has been conveniently removed from the picture. Ana’s only ally is not there. I would hope that Fernando would also think about everything that Ana has done for him and his family. Could he actually understand the difference between what Ana did at Chicago and who she really is? After all he had lived with Ana for almost80 of the story. If he can’t see who Ana really is by now he isn’t going to see at all.

Again I am trying to make real life sense out of a fantasy. Here we can expect for a primeval reaction only showing that Fernando has not learned anything. Again give the audience what they want: silly drama and scandal.

But drama is the stock in trade of novelas. Opera, too; if you analyze the plots of those you come out with stuff that makes even less sense most of the time if only for the lack of time to develop the story.

Salvador
Please write a book or two, you come up with better stories / plots than any telenovela writer.

This comment has been removed by the author.

Salvador, i agree you should write telenovela or novels... i would buy them!

your scenario sounds great, if Fernando were not in the 'crushed ... betrayed' state of mind he is now... and we probably can predict that since Fanny is too busy with the Leon emergency, Ana will beat Fanny back to the house and all heck will break loose... for an indefinite time... until he starts listening and re-evaluating what happened, what she lied and WHY (which he is just confirming) and can right his way for the good of everyone involved, beginning with the kids and himself and Ana.

btw, I can't wait for Isa's VERY VERY BAD DAY and Fernando treating her as she deserves.

sorry i had written a more extensive comment but when i re-read it the word spoiler came to mind, so i deleted just in case.

Looking forward to UA's recap because, with what's about to go down, I'll need to be prepared before watching.

Working on it right now. It will be up in time, no te preocupes.

What do you guys think is an appropriate anvil for Isabruja?

1) will she be killed by someone
2) will she go to jail (don't know if she has committed a law breaking offense)
3) will she loose her exterior beauty by some horrible act like acid thrown at her face
4) will she kill herself (don't see that happening)

5) what else ???

5) what else????

Redeemed ?

You think ???

No way.

I think Isa is beyond redemption.
What she deserves is for the paternity of DN to be known, she loses her 'stipend' from Fernando and she loses the baby (does not deserve to be a mom, nor does she want to).
She needs for her physical beauty (which she has used as her playing card so many times to her own benefit) to go away, Freeky throw gas at her face and lite her on fire... but she survives...

or she deserves to go to jail for good...

but since we expect for Ana and Fernando to be able to marry by church some day i figured either the church marriage is annuled after the paternity secret is revealed or she dies...

i see her having a final confrontation with Ana and she tries to kill Ana but the one that dies is her (have seen that so many times it is a 'given').

I like the idea of Yomama, Soledad and Ramona to become a 'golden girls' type household and they get the kids gang to come visit their 'grannies' every now and then...

that way Yomama gets to spend time with her grandson

I really don't want to see anything really horrible happen to Isa. Ostracized, perhaps. Don't know. But disfigurement seems extreme to me. I guess having seen REALLY evil bad guys in other TNs (Isadora in AB-yikes!!!), Isa seems kind of tame in comparison.

Thanks, UA. You're a life saver.

No, I am not in the mood for a disfigurement either as in PEAM. I'd like Isabella end up in jail for a good long time for whatever.

Jarifa

I remember the anvils that hit Isadora in AB (which was so extreme but appropriate for her evilness) and Lucero in CME. I can't think of any other anvil as drastic as those two; because being killed off can't compare to living the rest of your life in misery

I also don't see Isabruja committing suicide; it's not like her. She does, however, deserve a fate worse than death.

I vote at this point that Enfrique will throw acid in her face.

She did commit a crime in causing Sebastian's accident. In the US she could do time for attempting to kill Siete (although that might only be a couple of years depending on the state).

We have 23 episodes to go after tonight's. When we're down to the last 13 (in two weeks) I will post the Karmageddon discussion.

I'm just not very fond of the acid in the face punishment.
