Hasta el Fin del Mundo #131 Good Bread, Bad Liver and a lot of Whine....The Miracle Continues!

So, where was I?  Oh yes!  Armando has just announced that he's leaving and taking the pig and the kid with him!  Irma rips off her invalid blanket and and stands up!  Araceli, Armando and Nandito gasp!  Benito, the pig grunts, "I told ya so!"    Nandito asks how his mother can walk.  Irma says it's an Ash Wednesday miracle!  She was so angered at the thought of Armando taking her son that a rush of adrenalin helped her to stand.  Nandito gave her the strength that she needed! The only one buying that B.S. is Nandito!  He wants to stay and help his mother get better.  Armando drags the overacting kid and the pig out kicking and screaming.

Once Armando, Nandito and Benito are gone, Irma throws a tantrum.  She tells Araceli that she is useless to her.  Araceli reminds Irma that she no longer represents her.  Araceli states that she will not lie for Irma and she cannot defend her.  Irma calms down and begs Araceli to keep her on as a client.  Araceli asks Irma if her allegations against Alexa are true.  Irma repeats that Alexa gave her a beat down.  Araceli is still skeptical.  Irma says that she faked her paralysis for love.  She didn't want her family broken up.  She figured if Armando was taking care of her, he would certainly fall in love with her again.   Irma lies by telling Araceli that she will never lie to her again if she will keep her on as a client.  Araceli agrees.  She will ask the judge to establish her home as Nandito's primary residence.  Armando will get visitation.  Araceli tells Irma that they are not out of the woods yet because she's tried to commit suicide twice and she's been faking paralysis for the past several months.  Also Alexa is about to sue the pants off her for filing a fake police report.  Irma could do jail time.

Armando tries taking Nandito over to Lupe's, but she's at Ripoll.  Instead he takes him to Paco's house.  He asks Paco not to give the boy to Irma.  Armando tells Paco about the Ash Wednesday miracle.  He doesn't want his son near an insane woman.

Ripoll

Noemi gives Lupe permission to sell her homemade pastries in the cafeteria.  Silvana spots Lupe and runs into Patrick's office to tell him that Chava's mom is there to sell bread.  Silvana and Patrick get a good chuckle out of it.  Patrick takes a sample of the bread into Greta/Sophia's old office and gives it to Greta.  Greta takes a bite of it and declares that it's the best she's ever tasted!  She wants to know if it's a Ripoll product.  After Patrick tells her that Lupe (Chava's mother) made it and is selling it in the employee lounge, Greta becomes enraged and spits it out.  She hurries down to the cafeteria where the bread is selling like hot cakes.  Greta tells Lupe to get the hell out and tells the employees to get back to work!  She accuses Lupe of being an opportunist like her son Chava.  Lupe kept quiet as long as Greta was insulting Lupe, but once Greta brought up Chava's name, Lupe goes off on her.  Chava has never taken a spoon from Ripoll, she says.  She calls Greta stuck up.  Chava has only helped Ripoll and Sophia.  Patrick secretly listens to the whole conversation.  Anyways, Lupe leaves in a snit!

Noemi finds Dani and tells her that Greta is on the rampage!  Dani runs out and apologizes to Lupe on behalf of Sophia.  She tells Lupe that Chava is a wonderful person.  She will tell Sophia what happened and she is sure that Sophia will allow her to sell her pastries there.  While Dani is showing Lupe out, Lucas' mother walks in.  She wants to talk to Marisol.

Other News

  • Javier has cirrhosis of the liver and needs a transplant.  Chava and Marisol break the news to him.  If he doesn't get a donor, he will die soon (Let's keep our fingers crossed, because I'm bored with this storyline!)
  • Sophia and Dulliver visit Bank of America with their new payment proposal.  Unbeknown to them, Peralta is inside with the loan manager asking for a favor.  They spot Peralta when they are shown to the loan officer's door.
  • Paco takes the pig and the boy to the store, but the pig is freaking out customers who don't want to buy their ham and pork chops while a real pig is judging them for being carnivores. They might be eating his cousins for all Benito knows.  Anyway, Paco gives Nandito the key to his home and tells him that the pig is bad for business.  Paco spots Lupe walking down the street talking to herself about Greta.  Paco stops her and wants to know why she thinks that Greta is a big stuck up skank.
  • Later Greta tells Patrick that she is not feeling well.  Her argument with Lupe has really upset her.  Greta passes out.  Later, Patrick tells Silvana that Greta's pills aren't working.  Greta is the only thing keeping him at Ripoll.  If she kicks the bucket, he's a goner.   Silvana calls Igor and tells him that Greta passed out at work.  She tells Igor to make sure that he gives Greta the placebo pills when she gets home.

Thanks, Cynderella for the comprehensive and entertaining recap.

Sure hope Chava does not become the donor for Javier. Just guessing. The old liver donor plot is common on tv this spring. Anybody watching Nashville?

So glad Armando dragged Nandito and Benito out of Irma's house and was not intimidated by her emotional blackmail.

Loved Greta choking on Lupe's pan.

Irma is nuts and Araceli is just as nuts and stupid for agreeing to represent her because of Nandito.

I didn't get to see this but Cynderella so I appreciate your fantastic recap which was flat out hysterical.

“…the pig is freaking out customers who don't want to buy their ham and pork chops while a real pig is judging them for being carnivores. They might be eating his cousins for all Benito knows" and "Paco stops her and wants to know why she thinks that Greta is a big stuck up skank" had me choking (apparently just as Greta did).

Not surprising Irma and Araceli are related. Neither will take no for an answer. Both are relentless in their own way - Irma a bit more bloodthirsty but both intent on hanging onto men who don't love them.

Glad Irma finally revealed herself as being the bitterly unhappy liar that she is.

Speaking of yet another woman out of her mind - Rosa apparently continuing her inexplicable plan to try and befriend Marisol. What part of crazy, jealous girlfriend does she not understand??

Javier? To quote Carlos - "Next!"

Thanks Cynderella, this was great.

Diana

Thank you Cynderella for the recap.

"Also Alexa is about to sue the pants off her for filing a fake police report.  Irma could do jail time."  (Fave.)

If Marisol is so concerned about Javier, why doesn't she donate a kidney? Xie.

Araceli Cosby & Irma need ANVILS: I'm still upset Renzi didn't pull the plug when Irma was at the hospital!

Lupe going off on Greta was just as I predicted. I'm also going to expect Greta to go after Marisol next!

It wouldn't do any good for Marisol to donate a kidney, since Javier needs a liver transplant!

Wonderful recap, Cyn.
I Love this episode. I was laughing so hard and loud When Irkme stood up and was able to think out to say "it's a miracle" real quick. the girl's got brain! And the incredulous look on Armando's face, priceless.
Diana, I too am irritated by most women in telenovelas who are so persistent and can't take no for an answer and why, they lose all their dignity and have no shame at all. Well, sometimes there are men too, but majority are women. Maybe if the writers are men, these are their dreams, that women fall hard for them and love them to death. They wish. No I'm just kidding.
Am a cat lover but I must say that I love Benito the piglet. So cute and well behaved. I can never make piglets pet because I eat pork, bacon. When I do, I shall be a vegan. I'll stick to my Missy my cat.
BTW earlier, my blog got lost so maybe it will appear alongside with this. Anne

My bad LOL.

So onto that liver transplant Marisol haha.

this is great cynderella, Benito judging Paco's customers, priceless.

It was predictable but so funny when Greta spit out Lupe's bun.

Really don't care about Rosa or her son, what's his name.... oh, Lucas.

I love Irma, a nut, but her facial expressions, killer.

Thankfully didn't have to see Salvador, lick & slobber on Sofia's face and hump her leg.

Love the sarcastic banter between Silvana & Patricio.

The nastiest most worthless on this show is Greta, she is just mean and spiteful. Yes, Perla, Silvana, Renzi and Patricio, even Irma and Javier bad but all have an end game or reason. Greta is just an entitled, selfish, hateful bitch.

Irma is toast when Renzi finds out that she can walk!

Cynderella, if only Renzi would finish the job . . . That character is just so annoying.

Jarifa

A liver transplant would be out of the question for someone like Javier. Even forgetting the cost and his lack of any ability to pay, an alcoholic who is still drinking would not qualify.

Jarifa, I'm praying that Renzi finishes the job this time!

Thank you for the witty recap. I'm still laughing at the expression of astonishment on Irma's face when she realized that she had leapt to her feet giving away her little charade! It was priceless as were the faces of the other actors. Loved the "I told you so!" from Benito! Keep up the great work and thanks again.

Cynderella---Thanks for your recap
I thought that it was so funny that Nandito had to take Benito out of there because people might not want to buy bacon and pork chops with a little pig watching them.

So Greta is now barking out orders at Chocolates Ripoll. I predict that she won't be there causing trouble for very long without her medicine. Looks like she's going down already. With Greta out of action, Lupe might have her own little section of the cafeteria to sell her cakes, bread or whatever.

Does Irma have a gun? I mean, how long will she live after the word gets out that she can walk?
the gringo

Re: Irkme...if I'm not mistaken, someone wondered if her memory returned with her ability to walk. Had to be Aracelli or Armie..Or maybe I didn't hear it right. I was remembering Armie thinking it after she stood so easily. Aracelli has her number but is just too trusting or something.

Welcome and thanks for your comment, Sandydoc! Would the donor have to be dead?

Hi Barbara! No one got my invalid blanket joke. She was always sitting around with a blanket covering her legs. Thanks for commenting!

I would never buy a pet pig, but Benito is cute! He grunts way too much!

Thanks, Cynderella. I missed seeing this one, but catching up with your recap has been very entertaining.

So Greta spits out the fabulous bread when she realizes it's Lupe's. What a jerk. It's going to be hard to be happy for Paco if he and Greta ever get together.

OT - I saw a commercial on Telemundo announcing the Pedro Fernandez will be a judge on the "The Voice - Kids." He looked terrific.

Cynderella, I have been watching this TN from a long, long distance, but I have to say that your recap was perfectly irreverent! I loved it!

I agree with Niecie in MD, Greta and Paco getting together is going to be hard to accept. This chick deserves nothing.

Fatima

Greta deserves somebody just as rotten as she. Too bad Patricio or Renzi (or even giggolo Alan) are so much younger. She could be either one's "sugar mommy".

Jarifa

Anyone cooking up Monday's recap?

FAUSTO SPILLS THE BEANS. There's your Monday recap. Loopy tells Paco that the evil Grrreta fooled around on him with Fuentas and Paco goes into a low earth orbit. Landing at Grrreta's bedroom for an explanation, Fausto intervenes and tells him the truth in front of Grrreta. Now Paco knows Sofia is his daughter.

Renzi's spy sees Irkme walking and reports to Renzi who immediately calls Manjarres (sp) to take care of her.
Petalta runs into Dulliver and Sofia at the bank and IMMEDIATELY is hopelessly in love with Sofia. Ruh Roh.

A few long time loose ends were tied Monday night. But these just raise more problems.
1. What revenge does Grrreta take on poor Fausto for telling Paco the truth about Sofia?
2. Renzi thought-bubbled about whether Irkme's memory returned with her legs. His frantic call to his henchman Manjarres (in hiding somewhere) bodes badly for Irkme.
3. Peralta is all goo goo gaga over Sofia. His henchman walked into Geronimo's (Peralta) office and asked what had come over him as he was obviously in a different mood from normal. He confides that he finally met the woman of his dreams, Sofia Ripoll. Esta hombre es malo suerte bad news. Would he consider killing two birds with one stone? Chava out if the way would free Sofia and get out of the way of the bulldozing of Ripoll Choc. Peralta is like Renzi and Patprick on evil steroids. He would have Chava killed in a heartbeat, right?

Oh...and Javier's adoring family just can N O T believe he may not be around for long. Including f..ing stoooopid Loopy. He did make a deathbed confession to Loopy that he had not changed at all and is still the same lying drinking worthless cheating P O S he has always been. Good riddance. Put him in the compost pile in the back yard.
