La Malquerida, capitulo 64. 11/21/14

Lizi proposes to German to spend some time together. Who knows perhaps this could last a lifetime. German nods his acceptance and the two share a lovely kiss.

Luisa tries to talk sense to Acacia about Ulises. She doesn't want to hear it but Luisa insists. Arturo told her Ulises never did anything shady or escaped with Nuria. Acacia doesn't think he would have told his family the truth. Luisa advises her to speak with Ulises and if she's not convinced, no harm no foul. Acacia is afraid that once speaking with Ulises he would convince her of his innocence even though everyone is accusing him of fraud. Unless you want Manuel now and don't care that Ulises rots in prison.

Memo pulls a gun on Patricio and says Danilo ordered him to die. Patricio pleads for his life.

Acacia, Manuel, German and Lizi are all having dinner together. Acacia says she was glad to see German but has to go. Her mother hasn't been feeling well. German asks Lizi if she would like to accompany him to see Cris. Lizi is happy that they have decided to spend more time together. German agrees and says he really likes her. They smooch.

Patricio swears he won't talk. They have known each other all their life. He begs for his life again. Memo asks what would he tell Danilo? There is no way out of this.

Rubio pays a visit to our resident loco, Esteban. He wants the 411 on Acacia. Is she seeing Manuel? Has she seen Ulises? Is Cris supporting her in regards to seeing Ulises? Rubio says he can't find out anything since Luisa was not around and Rosa is like a tomb. She won't blab. Esteban tells him to figure out a way. Rubio asks him to come back. Even though Ulises is behind bars, he's more dangerous than Manuel. Esteban asks him about his drug friend. Rubio says he has distance himself from him on Esteban's orders. Esteban thinks that if he is able to talk to the drug friend perhaps he can make Ulises disappear. Take me to them now.

Cris spills to Rosa that she may be pregnant.

Esteban tells Rubio that he can't pretend to Cris that everything is okay between them when it isn't. Why asks Rubio. Esteban says he can't stop thinking of Acacia. I miss her in a way.....I now know who I want to be with. It's not my wife but with her daughter.

Rosa is excited at the news. She recalls when Acacia was born and Alonso....she stops herself. She feels bad that Esteban is not there. To raise a child alone like I did with Luisa. Cris says a child is a gift from God. She doesn’t want Rosa to tell anyone about this yet. Rosa agrees.

Cris tells German that Esteban is very jealous of Hector which is why they are not together. She should have told him after the exhibition was canceled. German understands. In part, he wanted to show Norberto that I could be successful. And for Ale to be proud of me. I will find another way to have an exhibit. Cris says he needs to do all this for himself. Your paintings are very good. Acacia and I will help you in any way we can. German thanks Cris for allowing him to stay with her. He wonders if she knows where to find Ale. Cris says she's now a married woman.

Acacia pays a visit to the local brothel unbeknownst to her. Danilo shows her to the living room and gets a call. He leaves Ale and Acacia to talk but is watching them from the other room. Acacia asks Ale if she really wanted to get married. Of course lies Ale. I am very happy. She's more worried about Acacia. What is going on with Cris and Esteban? Did you tell your mom about what happened? No replies Acacia. It's all about my mom's friend, Hector. Esteban is jealous having him around. Ale asks if perhaps Esteban wants something more instead with her? Acacia says it was a crazy moment and we let it happened. I don't want to talk about him. Ale believes once she sees Ulises, her feelings will become more clear. My mom and grandparents are not in agreement with me seeing him, but Ulises keeps insisting replies Acacia. Don't you want to stop doubting asks Ale. Then you need to see him. I think then you will realize if you still have feelings for him or if that love died. Danilo still on the phone, comes in and makes his presence known and walks back into the other room. Ale tells Acacia to warn Ulises to watch his back. If they tried to kill him before, it can happen again. Acacia asks if she really believes Ulises is in danger. Do you know something I don't know? Danilo comes back but Acacia says she has to go. Danilo tells her to let her mom know that everything is a-okay with him and Ale.

Andres walks out of this hotel room and sees Esteban. What are you doing here he asks. Esteban says he and Cris are having problems. And what are you still doing here in El Soto? Waiting for a chance to talk to German replies Andres. I suppose you know that I am his father? But it wasn't my fault that I was away from him. He needs to hear me out so he will understand. To accept me. It's not so easy after seeing Norberto as his father says Esteban. Andres asks for his help. Esteban reminds him that Norberto is his friend. And also it bothers him how close he is to Ulises. After everything he did to destroy Acacia. Andres says Ulises is innocent and everything will get cleared up. He gets a call on his phone and it's Ulises attorney. Andres talks to the attorney and is glad to hear that they are bringing back Nuria. Esteban asks him about this. He says she will arrive tomorrow and then Ulises will be able to demonstrate his innocence.

Arturo is on the phone with Luisa. Carmen walks in and Arturo ends his conversation. Carmen doubts that Luisa will help them. Arturo doesn't agree. She told him she would help him in any way and even suggested they work together again. Carmen hopes he said no, but Arturo agreed. Carmen reminds him that she didn't help them before. But she will now replies Arturo. Believe me. Carmen doesn't trust anyone. Acacia calls Arturo and he begs her to talk to Ulises. Listen to what he has to say. Acacia agrees. Manuel overhears the conversation and asks if she really is going to see Ulises.

Memo comes to inform Danilo that Patricio has been dealt with.  He asks if he can keep the guns and money that Patricio had at this house.  Danilo agrees especially since he will be dealing more with guns.  He asks what he did to Patricio.

Acacia tells Manuel that she has to go see Ulises to find out how she really feels about him. Manuel is not happy but will accompany her to see Ulises. Whatever happens I will stand by you.

Ulises pleads for Juan Carlos to help him find Itzel. She can testify on what happened to him. Why didn't she come with you asks Juan Carlos. Ulises explains that he had to leave her house so she wouldn't be in more danger. He can explain where to find her. He begs again for JC to help him. JC says he can't believe in him again now that he knows who he really is. Ulises swears he is telling the truth. JC says perhaps my granddaughter would believe you but I ain't no idiot. Ulises says to ask Rubio about the letter he sent with Itzel's brother. JC points out that even if the letter existed, it doesn't prove anything. Even if everything you said is the truth, you made my granddaughter suffer. How can I hurt her when I love her so much questions Ulises. There is love the destroys and I will not allow you to keep hurting her replies JC.

Norberto is annoyed that Andres asked Esteban for help to get closer to his son. Esteban tells him to calm down. I told him I couldn't do it. But there are more important things to worry about. I found out that the authorities have Nuria. I find it strange that they did not appear together. Norberto says they were smart in staying separated but they will both pay for what they done. Esteban just cares about Ulises being put away for a long time. If he gets out, Manuel can forget about Acacia forever.

Ulises tells JC that once Nuria admits her crime, he can get out and be with Acacia again. JC doubts it. She doesn't want to see him again and everyone supports her. JC says he now is in charge of the group that lent him money for the project. He swears to make Ulises pay for what he did and says he will not allow Ulises to get near Acacia.

Danilo tells Ale he wants to take her to own and buy her some jewelry. Perhaps even a diamond. So instead of being called La Turquisa, it will be Diamond? I will never be your woman. I am only the woman that you force to be with you and gets abused at your side. That's why I like you says Danilo. You have always been the same. You will try and fight me, but eventually I will win you over. They turn to go and German is at the door. He tells Danilo that he brought his wife to live in the same place he had his lover stashed. Did you stop supporting Perla? Ale tells German to leave them alone. Danilo tries to attack German but Ale gets in between. She tells German to stop bothering them. German says he came to tell her it's finally over and to give them a wedding gift. He brings the picture he painted of Ale.
Memo admits to Perla that he couldn't kill Patricio. He let him go. Perla wonders what would happen if he tries to talk. Memo assures her he went far away never to return. I couldn't kill him. He was my friend. Perla says she always knew Memo was a good guy. Memo asks how she is doing? She looks sad. Not right now replies Perla. They have a make out session.

Acacia comes to see Ulises. She says she came to hear him out. To tell him everything she felt after he left. Ulises assures her that he never left with Nuria or committed the fraud. Liar yells Acacia. I went looking for you after your disappearance only to find out you went to bed with Nuria. That's not true says Ulises. Whoever told you lied to you. We made love for the first time than you disappeared with her. You slept with her! Ulises tells her once he found out about the fraud, he left to confront Nuria. I even told you I was going to see her. Acacia wants to leave all the pain in the past. Ulises urges her to hear him out.

Elenita is happy to hear that Cris is pregnant. Acacia will be so happy. Cris doesn't want to tell Esteban. Elenita is not in agreement. Cris knows Esteban and feels he will only return to her because of the child. She doesn't want him back that way. Elenita tells her to stop being proud and tell him. She promises she will but wants to make sure Esteban doesn't see it as a burden but a blessing instead. For this child, fix things with your husband advises Elenita. Cris doesn't know if he is ready for the baby. Elenita points out no man is ever ready. Cris knows that Esteban would take care of the baby even if they are not together. The baby will have a father.

Ulises explains everything that happened. He begs her to believe him. Tell me you still love me. Acacia admits to feeling alone after his disappearance. I even.....but Ulises interrupts. Tell me that you are not with someone else. Are you with Manuel? Acacia says she is just friends with Manuel. He even brought her here. This angers Ulises. Acacia tries to explain that Manuel put aside his differences to support her. He has behaved like a good friend. My whole family believes you are guilty. Ulises points out the last time they had a misunderstanding, she found out that he never lied to her. I can't lie to the one that I love. Acacia doesn't know what to think. He asks her to look him in the eye and say she believes him. He wants to recoup her love. I don’t know if that is possible replies Acacia.
Juliana visits German who is painting. He asks her to stay away from him awhile until he figures things out. Juliana says she can't do it. She's his mother and adores him. I want to make sure you are okay. I will be says German. Stop worrying. Juliana thinks things will be better once he talks with his real father. German doesn't want to or see the need too. Juliana begs him to listen to Andres. Get closer to him. German asks if it's true that she hid her pregnancy from Andres. Juliana says he went on vacation and she didn't get the chance. Why did he leave asks German. Was it because he didn't have any money?

Acacia admits to Manuel that if everything Ulises says is true, it was all awful. Manuel tells her to dry her tears. Her family cannot see her like this. He suggests they go out for coffee so he can tell her everything.

Juliana blames her parents in not letting her go out with Andres. Understand that I adored him. So it wasn't enough for you to confront them over this asks German. Accept it. You left Andres because he was poor. He laughs. Ale did the same to him. Juliana gets mad and doesn't want him comparing her to Ale. Because she really made you suffer. And you didn't with Andres asks German. I finally understand him even though I cant see him as a father. It's better that you leave. Because of you and your husband, my exhibition was canceled. Juliana reminds him that she is his mother and the only reason she put up with Norberto for so long was for her love of him.

Norberto makes a call and finds out that Nuria is now in town. Manuel comes to tell him that Acacia went and paid a visit to Ulises. He left her crying in the town square. She wanted to be alone. Norberto calls him an idiot and tells him to go comfort her. Manuel says he's not an idiot. He wants to know who his father is dealing with. Ulises says they are into dealing drugs. I want to know what you have to do with them.

Arturo hopes that Acacia wakes up and returns to Ulises. That is the only thing that makes me endure all this replies Ulises. Just don't tell my mother he asks Arturo. He wants to find out if they found German. Arturo says he has left. Ulises urges him to find German. He is the only one that helped me with the contracts. Carmen appears with good news. Nuria will be here in town tomorrow.

Norberto tells Manuel that he doesn't have to give him an explanation. He also will not allow any of his kids to think that he is dealing drugs. Then talk because I don't understand anything asks Manuel. I told you I paid someone to make him disappear says Norberto. Now I am finding out that the guy is dealing drugs. You have to believe me. Manuel says not only would Norberto but everyone be in danger.

German has a lunch date with Hector. He says Cris told him what happened and returned the paintings. He appreciates Hector's interest in his work. Hector says he came looking for him to say just how much he really admires his work. He proposes doing an exhibition for him alone. German appreciates it but can't accept. He doesn't want Cris to have any problems with Esteban. Hector understands. If it can't be with him, then he will suggest other galleries to have it in. your work is wonderful and my favorite is the one that you call “Alejandra”.

Danilo and Ale return to the house and the maid gushes over the painting of Ale. She also comments on Ale's lovely necklace. Danilo admires the painting and says German is not a bad painter. He really likes it but feels that something is missing. He draws out his pocket knife and starts slicing the painting. Ale tries to get him to stop. They fight but he ends up destroying the picture.

Hector asks German if he knows how are things with Cris and Esteban. He really wants to help. German says all he knows is that things are bad. Esteban has not returned to the hacienda. He doesn’t feel comfortable talking about this. Hector purposes they talk about his paintings instead.

Danilo asks Ale if she finally realizes that there is no one worthy in her life but him. Ale can't believe he destroyed the painting. Danilo will not allow Ale to keep pining over German. Don’t you know I am dying inside to get rid of him? And if you keep acting like this, I will. You are with me now and you will never escape again. So think about things clearly. Ale slaps him and yells out that she hates him. You will not escape me says Danilo.

Esteban tells JC he believes Ulises is hiding something. JC thinks he's guilty. His story has to many holes. That's why I called you replies Esteban. We both know he's a manipulator but Acacia....we can't let him talk to her. JC told both Ulises and Acacia that he doesn't want them to see each other. He asks that JC keep him abreast of everything. He worries over Acacia. He understands but doesn't like how Esteban is treating his daughter. Tell me the truth. Do you not love Cris anymore? I told you I am confused replies Esteban. JC points out that the only way he can be confused is if someone else is in the picture. Is that the case?

Acacia leaves Ale a message to call her. She runs into Hector and asks what he is still doing there. Don’t' you know my mother doesn't want you near? Hector says he came to pay German a visit and convince him to have his own exhibition. He didn't accept though. In life you have to keep those contacts that can help you. I have arranged for Cris and German to exhibit in another gallery. I just need someone to tell them there is another gallery interested. I think that person can be you. He gives her his card and asks her to call him.

Esteban swears to JC he is not with another. He feels they are together all the time with work and home. You liked that before points out JC. Yes, but we have had disagreements replies Esteban. JC says every relationship has problems. Yes, but you went to work and she stayed home points out Esteban. JC asks why will he not return to Cris. Because of everything that has happened answers Esteban. I don't know if we can go back to how things were before. The question is, do you want to return asks JC. Esteban says he doesn't want Cris to suffer through his indecision. JC points out that Cris will not wait all her life for him. If he has to, he will defend Cris from him.

Acacia tells Hector she doesn't want to get involved. She cannot lie to her mother. Hector admits in telling Cris he loved her, she lost her dream in one day being able to have an exhibition. But she can help. Sometimes things are best left unsaid. Think about it. Acacia goes to leave but he holds her back. Is there something I can help you with? It appears there is something wrong with you. There is replies Acacia. It's a situation with my ex-boyfriend. I cannot talk about it with anyone. Nobody in my house wants me to see him. He suggests she tell him what is on her mind. Sometimes it's best to let things all out. Acacia thinks perhaps it's best if she did talk to him since he is a neutral party and doesn't know Ulises.

German comes home (Cris's) and she's glad to see him. What did you do with the painting she asks. German says he gave it back to Ale. He needed to close the chapter. He starts tearing up and she is glad that he is trying to get on with his life. Ale is gone now. You have more important things to do now. Like fixing things with your 2 dads. Whether you like it or not. One gave you life and the other raised you. German asks if his mother put ideas into her head. No, replies Cris. I was thinking today just how important it is to have a father. Not everyone is as lucky as you. Both Andres and Norberto love you. What Juliana and Norberto did was wrong. They should have told you the truth. Andres never knew about you. He is not at fault here.

Acacia tells Hector that Ulises assures her once Nuria appears things will get cleared up. Hector congratulates her on seeing Ulises even though she is angry with him. It is correct in finding out what happened. She still has doubts that he wasn't with Nuria. She needs to find out the truth. Well, you will once Nuria is here and they find the girl who helped him replies Hector. Were will I find them asks Acacia. I will help you says Hector. I have a son who lives in Italy. I would hope that if I couldn't help him, he would have someone who will. Let me do they same for you. Acacia thinks it's a bad idea but appreciates him listening to her. Hector asks her to re-think it and let him know if there is anything he can do for her.

Nuria gets a visit from Norberto. She asks if he's the public attorney. No replies Norberto. He introduces himself and says they have a lot to talk about.

Cris is looking at old pictures when Acacia walks in. Cris shows Acacia a picture of her and her dad. Acacia misses him and loved to talk to him about all her problems. Acacia wants to know what the doctor told her. You are going to have a little brother.

Nuria wants to know how he found out she was there. I have contacts replies Norberto. Nuria says she didn't do anything wrong. Really asks Norberto. Did you not rob my wife? You left my son without a store. The fraud you committed is inreprehensible. Nuria swears it was all Ulises. That is why I don't know why I am here. Don't play stupid says Norberto. I knew it was you. That's not true shouts Nuria. Once I found out what was happening, I confronted him and he threatened me. I had to flee. Stop lying says Norberto. You committed the fraud even though Ulises is behind bars. Then I don't know why they are blaming me says Nuria. Because you did it points out Norberto. His attorneys are finding specialists to find out if you falsified his signature. Are you worried now? I have to get out says Nuria. Ulises will not only accuse you of the fraud but also of having dealings with drug dealers. That's not true yells Nuria. He says you had him kidnapped and forced to cultivate drugs replies Norberto. So you have a lot of problems.

Aren't you happy asks Cris. Of course, just surprised replies Acacia. Does Esteban know? Not yet and don't tell him asks Cris. I want to fix our problems first. But he will return once he finds out about the baby replies Acacia. Just because a child does not have both his parents doesn't mean he will not grow up with love points out Cris. You talk as if you guys will not get back together again replies Acacia. Cris thinks that Esteban has another woman.

Nuria swears again that she did not commit the fraud or got mixed up with any drug dealers. Norberto says you don’t' have to explain anything to me but the courts. They will be transferring you tomorrow to El Soto. Nuria doesn't understand why he is telling her all this. What do you want? To make you pay says Norberto. With that pretty face anyone would believe you. You will need a lot of help to get you out of this mess.

Acacia asks if Esteban told her anything. I just know because of his change in attitude replies Cris. It's been awhile since he has been affectionate with me and started drawing away. Acacia thinks she's confused. If that was the case then he wouldn't be so jealous of Hector. Just because he's jealous doesn't mean there isn't another woman replies Cris. She asks Acacia why she is so nervous. Do you know something? Nothing says Acacia. You spend a lot of time with Esteban points out Cris. Please tell me who the other woman is.

Lunes: Cris's pregnancy becomes complicated; Acacia returns to Ulises; Esteban asks Acacia if she returned to Ulises only to deny her feeling for him.

Gloria, an intriguing, fantastic Part 1. I cannot wait to read the rest. "Acacia pays a visit to the local brothel unbeknownst to her" was one of my many favories.

German wants to care about Lizi. The yearning to care, to be cared about is etched in every line on his face. But, it is evident his heart is still with Ale. The blistering after effects of his emotions will be clear later so won't comment further until the rest of your recap is up.

How can no one realize Danilo's incessant pawing and forced kisses are the sign something is terribly wrong? He could not have her closer if he had her on a leash. That is said with utter digust and revulsion.

Even though Luisa is supporting Uli for reasons that are purely altruistic (she wants Manuel awayu from Acacia), I'm glad shje is supporting Arturo nevertheless.

Danilo is pure evil but I believe he is also insane. He acts and reacts violently and cruelly. Esteban measures and coldly calculates. He has murdered and plans to murder again. I am beginning to see him as dangerous as Danilo. Cloaked in respectibility yet treacherous and deadly.

The German/Cris relationship is interesting. It is not a parent/child relationship and not quite as friends. It is supportive yet there is a strange vibration I just cannot put my finger on.

I can't wait to hear what Acacaia and Uli said to each other and Hector to Acacia.

Thank you Gloria!

Diana

I mean to say Luisa's reasons were not purely altruistic.

Diana

Gloria- You can't believe how happy I was to see a recap from you this morning. I have missed reading your fantastic writing. Great Part 1 of an interesting episode.

Diana- Yeah, I don't understand why these folks don't see that so much pawing and hovering isn't normal. And they know Ale is reserved by nature and was never into all that PDA, not even with German (who I would be all over, especially with his shirt off).

Diana- I think the German - Cris relationship is a mix of all the things you mentioned. I think the two of them are very alike. Both take care of their families and friends, both take charge of their family haciendas, both are artists. They are like parent-child because of the age difference, but they are also friends, colleagues, and kindred spirits.

Thank you, Gloria, for that detailed recap. DIana, you eloquently stated everything that I am feeling. Damn and Este are both damaged individuals...scary.

Cris only has a daughter..no son..at least not yet. I have two daughters and sometimes find myself drawn to guys who "feel" like they could be my sons. My son died the day after he was born.

Oh Susanlynn, I so admire your spirit - in spite of your losses you always support and comfort. True marks of a loving heart.

Diana

Vivi, thank you for putting into words what I could not.

Sometimes when Cris stares at German, it is though she can read his mind and his heart. Kindred spirits is spot on.

German is fortunate to have Cris and I'm hoping he is able to bond with Andres when he comes to terms with the hurt and anger he is processing (for Ale, his "lost" family and for his "new" father).

Diana

Gloria - Terrific part 1. I love the way you cut right to it, like, Rubio pays a visit to our resident loco, Esteban. Hope the migraine is long gone and you're feeling well.

I am out with German for not visiting Uli in jail. I know German is hurting, but he's seeming more like a boy than a man right now. And he's not checking out Andres's side of the story. And it doesn't help that he (inadvertently) provoked more Danilo abuse of Ale by carrying that painting to them.

So Esteban wants Rubio to introduce him to his drug trafficking friend to take care of Uli. So much for his appall that Rubio used drug traffickers for the kidnapping.

I think when German has his head together a bit more he'll visit Uli. Last episode he actually told Acacia that she should visit him and that he wasn't convinced of his guilt. So it's not like he's turned against Uli, like so many others. I was channeling Gringo last night because I felt like punching old Juan Carlos fir outright accusing Uli of lying to his face, and telling him how implausible his kidnapping story sounded. In a country where people get kidnapped by narcos all the time!

A great first part Gloria. I can't wait for manana to read the rest of it but I know the wait will be worth it.

Your line that said---Rubio pays a visit to our resident loco, Esteban caught my attention in a standout way.

Diana---You chose your words well.
Esteban--Dangerous as Danilo, clocked in respectability yet treacherous and deadly.

Vivi---You described the German Cris relationship perfectly.

This story just gets better and better. A favorite for sure.

I knew that DamnDan was going to destroy that beautiful picture last night, I just knew it. Pore evil that guy, disgusting evil.

I can't wait to find out what Norberto said to Nuria. My guess
is that he told her what to say if she wants to continue to live.

Pissant Manuel got all huffy with Acacia over Ulises last night. I was hoping that she would tell him to stay out of her business but of course, she didn't. Backbone Acacia, backbone.

I am also waiting in great anticipation to find out what JC said to Ulises last night. I really liked him as the grandpa of Maricruz but not here. His all
wise know it all attitude as the family patriarch really gets to me. I hope he gets served first at the big crow dinner coming up soon.

If I have to hear, he hurt poor spoiled suffering pampered Acacia
one more time, I'm going to scream loud enough that I will be heard all the way down to the end of the block. Enough JC enough!

When Ale and Acacia had a brief moment to talk last night, I was thinking that probably something important would have been said but I guess not as Gloria pointed out in her part one this morning. A missed opportunity.

It looked like was starting to get to, reach Acacia with the truth last night. At least he may have gotten her thinking.

So much going on. I can't wait to read more recap and comments.
the gringo

It looked like Uli was starting to get to, reach Acacia.

Pure evil--not pore evil. A typo
the gringo

Gloria, loved part l and can't wait for the rest.

I'm thinking Hector was trying to convince German to exhibit his paintings and was especially interested in the painting of Ale.(At least that's what I think.) But of course that miserable Dandamn destroyed it.

Dandamn is so cruel, I hope by the end of the story he gets beaten the way he dishes it out.

I was thinking that the way he flings that cane and pulls hair and throws punches if he hasn't had any accidents. He really gets into it.

Ann-NYC

Those scenes of Dan abusing the women make me worried for the actresses because they look so real. The choreography has to be really good for it to look so real, yet no one gets hurt.

Ann- Yes, Hector wants to do a show of German's art. But if German doesn't want to do it at his gallery because of Cris and Este, he wants to put him in contact with another gallery. And, yes he loves the "Alejandra" piece (RIP). He then asked Acacia to help convince German and Cris to do their show with another gallery, with which he has connections.

Thanks Gloria for your great Part 1. I haven't commented for weeks. I've been fully engrossed in MQ and trying to wrap my mind around what the writers are trying to do. I am now thoroughly disgusted with Esteban--estoy harta! Anyone that obsessed and possessive cannot dignify their behavior with the word "amor." It appears that the only males in this novela that we can call good men are German, Uli, Arturo, and Hector. It appears that Hector is going to be the mature, balanced male who has real integrity and empathy. Not spoilin' here because I have no idea of the ending, but I predict that Esteban will go down in flames as in "morir." I'm ready for him to rot in hell.

Watching crazed Dan stabbing that beautiful portrait was awful. I think that he is not only jealous of German's love for Ale but also jealous of his talent.

Vivi..yes, it looks too real when Damndan is pushing and grabbing the women. I used to worry about his knife so close to the actress's face.

Thanks Gloria, this one has no filler and I don't want to miss a bit.

Carmen has done a great job with her boys Uli and Arturo but they need a better choice of girls to be hung up on.

German's got it in him but so sensitive and hope he doesn't become a bitter man. He's had a tough week.

Andres is too polite for his own good.

Esteban has now decided his fate and gets a one way ticket to hades.

Hate Norberto, hate Danny, hate Rubio.

Manuel is a sneaky punk.

Don't like either JC or Hector and their macho, condescending lectures. When Hector kept grabbing Acacia's arm to pull her back I wanted her to smack him.

Dona Gringuita- Don't forget Andres!

Gloria,
Thank you for posting Part 1. Can't wait to read the rest.

Like everyone else, it's hard for me to watch Danilo with Ale. He's all up in her space, and the kissing is disgusting. I don't even want to think about the other goings on.

Something that is driving me crazy is how excited everyone is that Nuria was caught and is being brought back to El Soto. So what? Do you really think she's going to take the blame for everything and set Uli free? Think again! No spoiler here, but Nuria is going to throw Uli under the bus. The fact that she was caught will do nothing for Uli, except make him look more guilty.

Hasta pronto, and thanks again Gloria!

It's up!!!

Este is. rapidly sliding down a slippery slope. His mask is falling away as his heart of darkness is exposed . His obsession for Ack will bring an end to the life he stole from Alonso.

Gloria, your finale captured the emotions and heartache so well. Thank you for all your sharp observations and insights.

Cris' intuition that she has been replaced in Este's heart is spot on. Even though I was very disappointed in JC's treatment of Uli, he also wisely sensed Este is "distracted" which of course is very true.

Ale's heart must have been pierced with each slash of Danilo's knife against the canvas. His cruelty knows no bounds.

Aunty Ann, I totally agree with you about Nuria. How foolish everyone is to think she will tell the truth. Why on earth would she do that when she has everything to lose? And of course Norberto will ensure Uli is convicted. It's a shame Carmen and Arturo will get their hopes up.

I thought Acacia seemed somewhat ashamed and a tad guilty when speaking to Uli. Has she found someone else? Why yes, as a matter of fact she has.

She also appeared shocked by Cris' pregnancy. I can only hope she feels suitably guilty to rebuff Este once and for all.

Gloria, you bring the events to life in all their glory and despair. Thank you!

Diana

Susanlynn, yes, well said. He callously stole Alonso's life and is now ready to throw Cris and everything they had away to follow his lust. His anvil can't come quickly enough for me.

Diana

Thanks for the recap Gloria!

Susanlynn, I agree. I think Esteban has been straddling the line between good and evil for a while now. Will Rubio lead him to Dan? If that happens then I think that'll be the deciding factor as to which side he's on.

I noticed that Germán threw Ale's words back at her when he told Dan that he hoped that Dan will enjoy the painting and the "original". When Ale moved back to La Benavente and took the painting she told Germán that the "original" would always be his.

I figured that Memo wouldn't kill Patricio. I wonder how Dan will react when he finds out that his "mistress" (according to Germán) is getting serious with none other than Memo.

Este has been living a lie all these years. The writers cleverly led viewers to believe that he was the good guy and Norb and Damnilo were the bad guys. Now we know that he is a killer who is willing to kill again to get what he wants.

Excellent recap Gloria! So many plot lines speculating in this episode.

Like the rest of you, I was not as optimistic as Uli's family that Nuria's presence alone would automatically clear everything up. But if he has good lawyers, they would be able to prove the signature thing and investigate Nuria's finances. But now with Norb coaching her and backing her, I'm getting worried. Correction: The name of the construction site head who worked with Uli and Nuria is Hernan.

Hector is a buttinsky, but he's also a lawyer who owns a whole law firm. He could be extremely helpful to Uli, so I want him to keep butting in. Theses people need the help!

Plot lines percolating not speculating.

I will add one more piece of evidence to my Ale was not a scared mouse when she was in the brothel theory: In this episode when she mouthed off at Dan, he pointed out that she is still the SAME as ever, and reiterated his goal of making her his (breaking her). Once again to me it's obvious that she did not stay in the brothel for fear for herself, but because Dan had her brother. Once her brother was dead, she was not staying with Dan. And of course now he's using the threat of killing German to keep her by his side. So unlike the other girls who stay with him out of pure fear Julianita), because they want the income, or because they think they can't do better (Perla), Ale only stays when someone she loves is under threat. And Dan knows that well.

Sorry but I missed an episode or two along the way. Who did Esteban kill? Was it he who did the rock slide which killed Acacia's real Dad? I thought it was Norbert. Thanks

It is the nature of TN's for no one to respect any boundaries but I bristle whenever people insert themselves (particularly macho culture) convinced they know better.

Hector, is not the only person that can finagle a showing of Cris or German's art. In this show yep, so the only way they will be able to express themselves to a larger audience is through him, thus assuring him continued access with cover. Dude peels German off to offer help and immediately ask for the skinny on Esteban & Cris. That made German uncomfortable and props to him to tell Hector so. So much for respecting Cris's wishes to stay out of her relationship. Hector wouldn't let that one lie and is now working Acacia. What I don't know, especially with the disclosure Esteban killed Alonso, is if someone manipulates others for their own ends but justifies it because it also benefits others, it may not be a noble act. What if Hector a bad guy too?

Vivi, very good point about Danilo. Ale stays only because she fears others will be harmed. She knows just how far she can push him and I love that she does it to the limit as much as she can. Her expression of pure hatred and loathing appear as soon as they are alone.

And I thank heaven for Hector. Maybe he is too overtly interested in matters that are technically none of his business but he is the only outside who seems to clearly see and sum up the Acacaia/Cris/Este triangle. And,he supports German. He is a lifeline in my book.

TF, thanks for that important nugget of info about German tossing Ale's words back to her. Another emotional cut for her to bear. Sigh.

Diana

Kirby, Este asserted that he killed Alonso. He seemed to mean he really did murder him.

But, I've been a bit conflicted because I also thought early on, we did see a shot of Norberto causing the rock slide.

But now that Este has said he wants Uli gone, I'm thinking that he is the guilty one.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

Diana

I think Norberto the bad guy king, master manipulator and opportunist. He wants Cris's ranch. If he the one that killed Alonso on Esteban's prompt I wonder why there hasn't been closer collaboration between those two? Will Norberto call in his chips at some point? Though it seems sometimes they both want the same thing it appears the assistance sometimes is coincidental.

Thanks, Gloria. Part 2 and 3 were superb.

The only comic relief in this episode was Acacia's brief visit with Ale, before Danilo cut in. Ale asks about the Esteban kissing thing and if he's pursuing her, and Acacia nervously replies it was a crazy thing that just happened and nope he isn't pursuing her. Too bad Ale didn't even get a chance to say No es normal cause stepdads don't just jump up and tongue-kiss stepdaughters cause their going through a rough patch.

I notice Acacia didn't pass on the message to Uli from Ale to watch his back in prison because the people who held him will likely be sending people after him (*cough*, Danilo). It was all me, me, me. Wah!

Niecie- Regarding your last comment...WORD! Not the way a typical stepdad/stepdaughter react to stress.

I am happy that Hector is not letting up. When someone you care about is in trouble, he or she sometimes tries to hide what is going on,

Vivi..I did not know that Hector was a lawyer..yay. The guy is Renaissance man. Hopefully, he will help Uli clear himself. Go, Hector.

Hector is the pivotal piece.in the good guys' team. He knows Cris, Ack, and German. German andAck can bring him to Uli. Andres has money and power to help Uli, too.

Yes. The law is Hector' s primary precession. That's what he did in Spain, and he came back to Mexico because his father passed away and he inherited the family law firm. The art thing is his side passion, and something he shared with his ex wife until the divorce. This was all given in explanation when he and Cris first ran into each other at the gallery.

Profession not procession. :)

Gringo's story---I have never been able to appreciate artist paintings very much although I have tied, really tried many times
I have gone to art exhibits and museums many times over but seldom
see anything that really interest's me. A bowl of fruit on a table---I have or can put fruit on my own table, I don't need a picture of it. The same goes for flowers. I can put flowers in a vase on the table. Paintings of scenery---I always see something that just doesn't look right to me. The trees are out of proportion, the birds don't look real, neither do the clouds, it's always something that makes me not interested or feel that the picture needs improvement. People and people's faces don't often interest me either, I don't know them. However German's painting of Alejandra is haunting compelling.
I wish that it was a little smaller but, I would buy it in a minute if I could afford it. It's fantastic. When DevilDan took out his knife, it hurt me. NO!!!!!!!!!
I knew however that he would destroy it because for Ale, it served as a bridge or memory of German and so he had to cut it up and destroy it forever. Damn you Dan! Your destruction is coming, just wait.
the gringo

Susanlynn---You are worried about the knife so close to the actresses faces. If you look closely at Dan's knife you can see that the tip end or point has been filed down. Also I would bet that there isn't an edge on the knife's blade either.

Vivi---You said that Dan abusing the actresses looks real. The knock down drag out fight between
Sabine Moussier and Agusto Castanon in Abismo de Passion looked so real that when it was all over, I was wondering, asking myself if Sabine didn't need medical attention. How do they do it? That's a good question. Are stunt doubles used, but even then?

Now on to part two.
the gringo

VIvi, thanks for that background on Hector. He will be a valuable asset to the good guys.royecting Crusms interests, defending Uli , and helping German to establish himself as an artist.

Tofie---You don't like Hector grabbing Acacia's arm to pull her back---well someone needs to pull her back and talk some sense into her because she doesn't have much
sense of her own.

The one that needs to be slapped down is the volcano constantly blowing up {just like his dad} little piss ant Manuel.

You were right on with know it all
condescending, family patriarch JC
I have had enough of his "You hurt
poor little Acacia." SHUT UP ALREADY Enough about poor spoiled Acacia.

The battle is really starting to heat up with the good guys against the bad guys.

I really enjoyed an earlier comment when JC didn't believe Uli's story about being kidnapped by drug dealers. Ulises, don't you know that there isn't anything like that in our nice little town of El Soto? No, the only bad things that ever happen around her is a little hanky panky
in the bodega or a little tongue
tango between husband and stepdaughter but drugs? No never.

Good point Vivi about my scared little mouse theory. Looks like you are right about that however she has every right to be one. DevilDan is one mean bastard.
the gringo

Gringo, not only did I not like Hector grabbing Acacia to make her stay put so he can apply more pressure, I don't like Hector. (I'm stunned when I see Norberto hit Juliana, enraged when Danny manhandles Ale and personally don't like it when men get grabby with women). The guy thought he could declare his love for Cris and she would reciprocate (though married) and she turned him down flat. He didn't take too kindly to the rejection so he is poking around trying to find dirt on Esteban to exploit. I know the guy is on a white horse but I see gray. Esteban is a snake so if Hector a he man confront the snake.

I don't think that Hector knew that Cris was married. Anyway I still think that someone needs to talk to Acacia and for sure not JC

One thing If you are going to get angry about a men just trying to talk, then you should really unload on piss ant Manuel. That guy is more violent or has more violent tendencies than Hector ever has or ever will have.
the gringo

Tofie,

I agree with what you said about JC and Hector. Although I kinda do think Hector has good intentions, I can't say the same about JC. I know he's probably supposed to be the sweet grandfather but he needs to stop spoiling Acacia. She needs to deal with this problem on her own. If JC thinks her reconciliation with Uli (that we will see tomorrow) isn't the right thing to do then hopefully he will keep his mouth shut unless something else bad happens down the road with the relationship. Then he can tell Acacia "I told you so".

Oh, Manuel is next and Hector just a diversion for this weekend. That boy is a worthless, spoiled, entitled wanna be playboy and while he may not have the smarts of his daddy, just as much the slimeball. He is up to his eyeballs and surprised he has Acacia & German fooled. He's the guy that date rapes and the parents get him out of it.

Oh and Tofie--- Hector didn't grab Acacia's arm in a "ROUGH" way
however---If Acacia had been "SO OFFENDED" by Hector just trying to get to stop for a minute and listen, all she had to say is that I'm done talking and don't touch me again. Hector is a gentleman and that would have been the end of it. That's what I think anyway. It's reasonable.
the gringo

TF, I think Hector wants Cris. I don't think he wants to do anyone ill except if he can uncover some damning tidbit on Esteban, wonderful. I also think if he can help Cris & German gain exposure for their art, great, and imagine he has done the same for other undiscovered talent. Where I think the guy has gone off the tracks is his emotions are now involved, and his tactics questionable. Of, course all will be forgiven should he uncover nefarious conduct, however, should he find out about Acacia & Esteban, what does he do?

Tofie,

You're right. Cris is obviously hurt right now because of Esteban and any guy would step up to defend the woman they care about even if she's just a friend.

If things get more serious between Esteban and Acacia, Acacia is the one that should confess to Cris because she let it happen. She could easily tell Esteban to back off but if she reciprocates then she's possibly more at fault than he is. But no it isn't right that Hector would possibly cover for Acacia. Or that he gets into a physical confrontation with Esteban. Unfortunately, whether or not Hector or anybody else finds out, Cris may still l be the last to know.

It seems to me that Ack might be trying to distance herself from Este. In the previews, he was getting all up in her personal space and confronting her about Uli.

Aunty Ann,
My thoughts exactly that Nuria is going to try to save her own skin. Uly's witness (Utzi and her grandma) will not even be there anymore since they were planning to leave for fear of the bad guys. Acacia's family turned against Zulu lays squarely on Aca. If she hadn't been a baby drama queen abd crying how Uly lied, Nuria, etc etc
They wouldn't be hating on him. And if she hadnt been tiltilating Este he maybe not become obssesed w her.
So bottom line, Nurias reappearance will probably be worse for Uly. Not gonna be pretty.

Gringo, your honesty about how you feel about art is refreshing. I think some people feel the same way but will not readily admit. I am glad that you really really liked Ale's portrait. It is haunting. It is quite enigmatic.

Susanlynn, yay I share your excitement that Hector is lawyer and can help Uly. Thats great. Uly will probsbly experience some more bad stuff, but hopefully work out at the end. Hopefully not w Acacia though. No no no, How do you say "Frankly,my dear, I don't give a Dam," in Spanish????? She will believe him again, then something else will happen and she will dump him. Over and over, dont wish that on my worse enemy.

Vivi, Thanks for bringing up the fact that Aca didnt pass on Ale's advise to Ult. I heard it, but went over my head. That was important warning the selffish self absorbed twat didn't pass on because she too busy ecpressing her hurt!! Somebody pls slap her, Carmen???

Novella Lover, you have an excellent point.

" And if she hadnt been tiltilating Este he maybe not become obssesed w her."

Acacia knows she is desirable but not very discriminating in where she looked for attention. Her own step father & Manuel.

I think you are also right, Esteban is obsessed and not in love. His obsession with Cris, another man's wife, lead to murder.

When Cris told Acacia about the pregnancy, I could not tell if Acacia felt even more guilt or damn one more hurtle.

Also, with AuntyAnn about the capture of Nuria not proving Uli's innocence and likely will reinforce the evidence against Uli. That clever Norberto, instead of freaking out about her capture, will use her to pin everything on Uli.

It true Itzel can corroborate Uli's assertion about the kidnapping and escape but if her location disclosed (if it already has not been in his letter to Acacia) she may not live to tell any tale.

If Este gets involved with the drug dealers to make Uli disappear forever , it will be the beginning of his end. Este must pay for killing Alonso.

Looks like Norberto has taken the lead in ridding themselves of Uli with his visit to Nuria. Estaban wants him gone, Norberto, Danny, Manuel, Rubio, of course Nuria, and Patricio (if he stupid enough to hang around). In a sick way Acacia would probably be relieved if he disappeared again. Juliana prefers Andres have a relationship with German than helping Carmen's child. Half the town wants the guy gone.

So we have Mr. Butinski [that's what he has been called] Hector still is in love with Cris after several years and it turns out that he is a lawyer. I thought that he was an art dealer. {thanks Vivi} Now we have Cris' daughter's boyfriend/ex boyfriend in jail for a crime that he says he is innocent of. EsteBonkers has decided to go after Acacia and also he is a self confessed murder so we all know that Este will never go back or end up back with Cris even if she is pregnant with his child. My guess is that Acacia will come to her senses after Este makes a play for her and she will reject him. He probably will go completely bonkers then and try to kill Ulises or have Ulises killed. Back to Cris' ex lover, Mr. Butinski lawyer. Yep, I see him getting Ulises freed. It is obvious as to why an ex lover lawyer has been introduced into the story. The rest of the cast I am not quite sure about but I hope I will get to see that big crow dinner that a lot of people will be eating.
the gringo

I'll be disappointed if Hector rides in alone and saves the day (though you may be right gringo). This show, so far, has kept me guessing so that is too predictable. Gimme, Hector finds out about Esteban's obsession but one of the bad guys get rid of him before he says anything to Cris.

Guessing Hector will know of the pregnancy way before the father.

Esteloco is true sociopath. He will commit murder to get what he wants.
I believe Norberto was out to kill Alfonso too, but Esteloco got him first

You could be right novella lover. They both wanted Rancho Buenavente
and so Alonso was killed. Este just may have gotten him first and then made a move onto Cris. It probably was a good plan on Esteban's part but then the bikini goddess came on the scene and everything changed. Esteban then became EsteBonkers and we know what that led to.

Must see TV tonight.
the gringo

Both Esteloco and Norbie had a motive to kill Alonso. Did Alonso know that Norbie was jealous of him and wanted possession of La Benavente? Because to me it seems more likely that he knew that and didn't know that Esteban was attracted to Cris.

TF---That's a good question. Maybe some of the novela experts can weigh in.
the gringo

During his confession to Rubio, Este said that Alonso was too trusting and naive to see Norberto's intentions and tricks to ruin him. So no, it seems that Al did not know Norb was his enemy, or that his dirty tricks were the reason for his financial troubles.

and why Norberto the most dangerous. He gets others to do his dirty work or takes advantage of someone inadvertently doing it for him. Even now, he has Manuel going for Acacia anticipating she will have the ranch someday. It may be a showdown between baddies Norberto & Esteban.

Thanks Vivi. I think I do remember Esteban saying that. Yeah, tofie. Which one is worse?

tofie..Don't forget that old JC is also not a Uly fan, poor dude. He needs help ...German, Art, Andres, and Hector need to get proactive and help the poor guy.

Susanlynn, I almost included JC in my list of those against Uli because he certainly is, but he's an old blowhard that ain't got much more ma in his macho.

TF, to date I'd say Norberto, he's been at it a long time, got plenty of lowlife contacts, nothing really sticks to him, doesn't leave much of a trace, ruthless and not worried about his reputation.

Esteban's crime was one of passion and while it murder, he may never have crossed the line again until he got lust in his heart for Acacia which will be his downfall.

I could see a slide to the bottom between, Norberto, Danny & Esteban with the troll Rubio providing the grease for all.

I hope we got a sleeper hero in Andre

Tofie,

I agree although Dan is in his own league of evilness. So yes, the 4 men you mentioned are all slimeballs. Rubio is smart per se, but still he's an accomplice for Esteban and Dan. I won't be surprised if at some point he helps Norbie with something. Although Dan, Norbie, and Rubio did have a role in Ulises' troubles. And Norbie seems set on taking Nuria down too so who knows if Dan could also get revenge on her too.

Diana- Can you recap Tuesday's episode? I'll post the discussion page. I have a late meeting tomorrow and a house guest all week. I should be able to do Wed though. Not sure what Uni's schedule is on Thanksgiving.
