Hasta El Fin Del Mundo # 65 11/14/14 I'll Know You Love Me If You Ride the Bus Home

Hello Everyone! I'm sorry this is late, I had to take a quick trip out of town on Saturday. Here are links to a couple of articles I found on Hasta. The first is Pedro talking about leaving the show:
http://tinyurl.com/o842xnt

The second is a short article on David Zepeda's thoughts about taking on the role of Chava:

On to the recap!

Old:
Alexa and Armie go out for lunch and kiss passionately at their table.
Miguelina comes back to work at the Ripoll house and learns about Dani's hunger strike.

New:
Dani, once again dressed like jailbait, studies with Oliver. To surprise her, Miguelina brings them milk and cookies. Dani is overjoyed to have Miguelina back. She starts to introduce Miguelina to Oliver and finds out that they already know each other because Miguelina worked for Oliver's family.

At the business congress, Sofia and Chava work on the sales proposal for Raphael Silvetti. Sofia wants to run the company the same way Octavio did and aggressively negotiate the contract. Chava advises Sofia to be more subtle. She should try to win Silvetti over bit by bit. The same way Chava is trying to win her.

Lucas practices boxing with Manjarres. FF----->>

Alexa wants to go somewhere private and get busy with Armie. Irma must have sensed a disturbance in the force because she chooses just that moment to call Armando. She tells him that Nandito is depressed. She asks if Armie will come and see the kid or is he too busy doing the horizontal mambo with that Ripoll tramp? After she hangs up, Irma tells Araceli that she plans on seducing Armie once he gets home. Irma is worried that Armie will be able to kick her out of the house because they were never married. Renzi has upped the offer on the house and Irma doesn't want to miss the opportunity to cash in. Araceli says Irma has rights just like a married woman. In that case, Irma wants the house and wants Araceli to help make sure Armie sticks around. Back at the restaurant, Armie tells Alexa he is moving out of the chauffeur's quarters and getting his own apartment. She offers to help him look at bedrooms apartments.

Greta tells Miguelina that the only reason she's been rehired is that she is a good cook. Greta makes it clear that she will never, ever allow that low-life Lucas to date Dani nor is he ever to set foot in the Ripoll mansion again.

Chava and Sofia continue working on the sales proposal. Sofia calls Pato, who doesn't answer his phone. She leaves him a voicemail. Chava thinks it's strange that Sofia's message sounded so cold. Could it be because Sofia really doesn't love Pato? Sofia doesn't want to talk about it; she'd rather order dinner instead.

Miguelina goes home and tells Lucas that she's going back to work at the Ripoll's. He starts in on his evil rich people rant but Miguelina cuts him off. She tells him about Dani's hunger strike and how she fought her own mother to get Migeulina's job back. And if Lucas doesn't like it, well he can just shove it.

Sofia worries that Pato will find out that Chava stayed in the hotel room with her. She and Chava have a nice dinner in the room.

Irma is dressed in a tight dress with a very low cut neckline. She lights candles on the dinner table. Armie comes in the house to see Nandito. Irma asks, "Are you going to have dinner with your family?" Armie replies flatly, "Family? What family?" He goes to see Nandito in his bedroom.

Paco and Araceli talk about the phone company contest. They look through the phone bills to find the most expensive bill. I wonder why they're making this storyline such a big deal. Will Paco win the million and finally be acceptable to Greta? I used a currency converter and 1,000,000 Mexican pesos = $73,888.42 US. Paco still wouldn't be in Greta's world.

Sofia and Chava get ready to go to bed. She wants to know if he will keep his distance. Chava says that while he is tempted, he will stay away because Sofia has to get up early to give her presentation.

Javier stumbles though the door of a medical clinic. He asks for a doctor because he is very ill. The nurse tells him they are closing and he'll have to come back tomorrow. He goes back outside and leans against a light pole. He really does look bad.

Chava and Sofia are tossing and turning, both are having trouble sleeping. Chava tells Sofia that he can't hold back anymore. She takes his hand and pulls him into bed. They kiss and it looks like things are getting serious. Sofia awakens with a start. It was just her dreams.

Sofia stares at Chava. She can't resist and gets on the couch with him. They cuddle up together. Chava leans over to kiss Sofia and falls on the floor. He awakens with a start. He was dreaming too. Chava gets up and wraps his blanket around himself and heads toward the door. Sofia asks where he's going. He can't stand the temptation any longer. He's going to sleep in the lobby. Or outside.

Armie tells Nandito that he is getting his own apartment. Nandito will have a bedroom there as well as his bedroom at the house. Nandito doesn't like the idea, but Armie assures him that he'll get used to it. They hug.

Alexa tells Fausto that Armie is moving out of the chauffeur's quarters. Fausto is glad to hear it. He was afraid that Greta would find out that Alexa was visiting Armie's room. He lets it slip that Greta wasn't always a good girl either.

Irma begs Armie to forgive her. He says he might have been able to forgive her if she had 'fessed up sooner, but she kept lying to him for years. He tells her that Nandito will always be his son. Armie won't kick Irma out of the house or cut her off completely, but he's not staying with her. After he leaves she falls to the floor crying.

Someone knocks on Lupe's door. She thinks that Chava must have forgotten his keys. She opens the door and Javier collapses onto the floor. "Lupe, I'm dying."

Chava sits on a bench in the hotel courtyard. Sofia comes out to be with him. They sit under the blanket together. He tells her that whenever he looks at the night sky and the stars he wonders if she is looking at them too. Sofia tells Chava that she won't ever forget this night. She won't kiss him because she doesn't want to betray Pato or Greta and what they expect from her. Chava asks, "What about the woman inside you, Sofia? Shouldn't she have a chance to live?" Chava wants to show her that he can help her be successful in the family business.

Matias picks up Javier and carries him to the couch. He asks Lupe' if she's sure she wants to help Javier. "I can't leave him outside like a dog." Matias calls a doctor who diagnoses Javier with pneumonia. Javier doesn't have to go to the hospital as long as they take good care of him. Matias says that Javier can't stay. Marisol comes out of her room and sees Javier. She hugs him and cries, "Papa, Papa."

Paco remembers when he met Sofia outside the factory the day of the company's 30th anniversary. He remembers Lupe' telling him that Sofia's birthday was last month. He whispers to himself, "It can't be. That's nonsense, Paco."

The medics give Lupe' some prescriptions for Javier. Marisol wants him to stay in her room.

It is morning. Sofia and Chava wake up on the bench. They have to change clothes and get ready to meet Silvetti. Chava doesn't have a change of clothes, he'll have to buy something.

Javier apologizes to Marisol for not being a good father to her or a good husband to Lupe'. He is sure he is going to die and wishes that he had never left his family. Marisol offers to get him something to eat.

Matias and Lupe' worry about what will happen when Chava finds out Javier is in the house. Matias asks, "What about Paco? Aren't you dating him now? What is he going to think?"

Marisol is leaving for work and wants to kiss her dad good-bye. He won't let her kiss him because she might become infected. Javier asks, "Does Chava know I'm here?" Lupe' bitterly tells him, "You come back when you're sick. That's the only time you remember us." Javier says he was a drunk and a womanizer and didn't give Lupe' the love she deserved. He's dying and wants to apologize.

Sofia and Chava conclude their meeting with Raphael Silvetti. He thinks the proposal is agreeable, but wants to look it over and make a few adjustments. Silvetti is sure they can come to terms and he'll be selling Ripoll chocolates in South America. After Silvetti leaves, Sofia tells Chava that if the deal closes it will be because of him. She is very happy. For some reason that completely escapes me, Chava suggests they take a long bus ride home. If Sofia makes it through this, I guess she really does love this guy.

Irma admits to Araceli that her seduction attempt the night before was a complete bust (in more ways than one). But she knows how to make Armie stay with her. In the meantime, Armie and Alexa go looking at bedrooms apartments. They find a small two bedroom apartment and while the agent talks, Armie and Alexa look lustily at each other.

Captain Tavares talks to Renzi about the neighborhood crime wave and how the only person who benefits from the violence is the person that is trying to buy up all the real estate. None other than Renzi himself.

A guy on the bus reaches into the compartment above Chava and Sofia and drops a live chicken on Sofia's head. She screams and then laughs. Chava tells her to look around the bus and imagine that all these people are her customers who will buy Ripoll Chocolates. She likes the idea.

End of Episode.

On Greta's uppity-ism: God don't like ugly!

I'm sooo looking forward to her dirty secrets to be exposed for everyone to see including her family.

I agree. I really think she is THE most dislikeable one on the show. The other hateables at least have some "reason". She is just a haughty social climbing hipocrit. Ugh.

Thanks so much, xlnt! I will enjoy listening to this with my news. (I have dyslexia and listen to text converted to sound files.)

Before I forget, I'd like to mention that I really hope one of Silvana's doctors comes in while Patricio is not in attendance, hovering over her -- and reveals the results of a toxicity screen to her.

Then we wouldn't have to spend months watching her fawn over her baby's killer, unawares. :-(

But that's probably too much to hope for...

Xlnt, thanks for the wonderful recap and links to the two articles.

For someone who is supposedly very ill and living in the street they sure missed the mark with Javier: looked like not a hair was disturbed on his head, his shirt was still bright white and not dirty as well as his suit looking no worse for the wear after life on the streets. The only realistic point were his teeth being old and yellowed. I can't wait for Chava's reaction in response to Javier's presence and to his sister's "polly annish" response to Javier. Let us hope he gets Javier out ASAP.

The dream sequences were cute as well as sleeping under the blanket together outside in the garden.

The best part was the bus scene with the chickens.

Jarifa

I don't expect Silvana to find out about Patrick killing the bun in the oven until either Ultimos Caputulos or Gran Final.

Thanks, Xlnt – Fine recap. Appreciate the links to Pedro’s and DZ’s interviews. Though I’m sorry to see Pedro go, DZ’s got the right attitude so on with show!

Favorite scene: Sofia screaming like an idiot cause she’s scared of a live chicken suddenly fluttering over her head in the bus.

Next favorite scene: Matias “harrumph!” attitude as he carries sick Javier’s body in the house.

I get the feeling Oliver and Lucas were more than just children of boss and servant. Maybe friends?

Poor Sophia had to deal with fowl weather.

Cause it was rainin...

We'll, I thought it was funny.

Niecie, when Oliver & Lucas saw each other in the night club, Lucas explained to Marisol they were friends when Migeulina worked for Olivers parents, though worlds apart socially. That ended when Oliver moved away for school and Miqeulia left their employ.

Yes, I had read both stories or articles like them. I saw the video with Pedro and Nicandro Díaz, the producer, where Pedro gave the cover story.

From what I can tell even from his fans on his own Facebook page, exactly no one is buying the cover story. If the separation is amicable, I'm really glad -- but IMO it would be because TPTB also wanted him to go.

There was a story where Pedro had overheard Marjorie complaining about him, which upset Pedro a lot. And one where his daughters were on set reporting to their mom.

I can easily believe all this tension caused Pedro to lose weight; so that much would be the truth. I can't help but wonder what his future in telenovelas will be, though. And I do want to see him again!

xInt, this is great.

"Irma admits to Araceli that her seduction attempt the night before was a complete bust (in more ways than one)." I was wondering how in the world she got all that in that dress without help.

Ok, Salvador rides in and saves the day, spends a romantic night entwined with Sofia and her honor leaves intact on a bus. How in the world will this girl give it up to Patricio unless Salvador goes missing or Patricio kills the deal?

I think if Greta is suffering for love lost with Paco, go stay in the hood for a few days, she'd be cured of that delusion real quick.

There was some undertone going on when Miguelina and Oliver met again; not just surprise or recognition, but dread on Miguelina's part, I thought. She fears him for some reason, I think; maybe something happened at the old employ she does not want known at Ripolls.

In fact, I think I remember some reference to some such thing back in the beginning when Lucas was so insistent Miguelina not work for rich people again. However, Oliver looked completely guileless and serene; he's not thinking about it, whatever it was.

I see Irma is planning dire consequences on her ill-fated route to getting killed by Patricio's henchmen. She is going to get into so much trouble, trying to get Armando back.

Way over her head, and I think it's how they will get rid of her, the problem spouse. She's going to sell the house and get hip-deep in the crooked real estate deal and then stupidly threaten them. Honestly, someone explain how can some people be so stupid.

I must say, Lucas did seem to be impressed by Dani's hunger strike; I'm sure he'll get over it, though. They've got a while in the conflict stage yet.

So the thing with Javier can go two ways: he really is being rehabilitated, or this is just so Marisol, too, can experience for herself and finally believe what a total loss their father is. Yes, Chava is going to have steam coming out of his ears. Also Javier can't be dying if he's not bad enough to be admitted to a hospital. I guess he could have something terminal, but the medics didn't say that.

I don't know; that thing with the chicken on the bus was such a cliché. Like Romancing the Stone. From everything I've heard, Mexico has a truly excellent motor coach system nationwide that puts Greyhound to shame and that everybody uses it.

Thanks so much Kathy! I really liked Chava and Sofia's romantic night together. I was surprised by her choice of outfit for the morning meeting though.

I thought that I remembered that there was some false accusation of theft which is why Mig was fired. I'm sure Oliver was away at school or something. In any case, I'm sure Mig knows that Greta would throw her out on her backside if she heard about it. Hence, the scared look.

Xint, excellent title and the recap was great fun and as always, made me enjoy the episode once again.

"Irma admits to Araceli that her seduction attempt the night before was a complete bust (in more ways than one)" was hysterical! Wonderful.

I thoroughly enjoyed the dream sequences. Whatever has transpired in real life between the two actors, thought every one of Chava and Sophia's scene last night were well played, with just the right amount of persistance from Pedro and a thawing of resolve well done by Marjorie.

Niece, your second favorite scene was my first: Next favorite scene: "Matias “harrumph!” attitude as he carries sick Javier’s body in the house". And, I always smile at his furry beast slippers. C'mon writers, more Matias!

Like Jarifa, my fav was the chicken scene and again, thought Marjorie did a great job. She has a beautiful smile and hope we get to see more of it.

Irma is deluded and the more she digs her heels in about not letting go, the more I'm convinced things might not turn out so well for her!

Marisol was willing to put all her hurt and rejection aside and run to her "father". I don't know why is willing to forgive so completely and instantly, but bless her. She is a better person than I.

Agree with everyone who said Chava will not be happy to see Javier in residence.

And Jeri,"I really hope one of Silvana's doctors comes in while Patricio is not in attendance, hovering over her -- and reveals the results of a toxicity screen". Yes! That would be ideal. I would like to see what revenge she would concoct - I'm sure it would be brillant.

Diana

Explains why I still have Greta as an antagonist in this TN.

Irma will end up getting imprisoned or killed off by Patrick's thugs: which will devastate Nandito.

Thanks for the recap xlnt. I'm guessing that Lucas doesn't want Miguelina to work for rich folk for a good reason. Maybe she was accused of stealing or something along those lines.
Jarifa I have to agree with you, Javier didn't look dirty enough to be on the streets for all those days. His toupee looked fine too; it wasn't matted enough.

Vivi, right. And Lucas probably was involved with whatever was stolen (whether he actually did it or "friends" of his), with Miguelina getting blamed.

Her former employer is Greta's best friend, Oliver's mom. So I guess we know that is going to come up for sure.

I'm wondering how Miguelina actually got the job at casa Ripoll now. If she were accused of stealing, she wouldn't have had a letter of recommendation.

What is the point of firing Miguelina all over again; there must be more to this affair than that. There must be some other can of worms to open.

I don't watch this show, but that is a great title !!!

What is tptb?

Cynderella, I believe it's the powers that be.

Diana

Thanks!

Greta is too hostile to people, whom she considers inferior.

No wonder why Paco wanted NOTHING to do with Greta: 30 years of hatred can do alot to a person.

It didn't register when Irkme was telling Fingernails on the chalkboard, er Araceli that she and Armie never bothered to get married that as far as Alexis goes he is a single man. I know he loves him and all, but heck, the kid isn't even his. On top of it all, Irkme looks like she needs to get her out of shape baggy ass to the gym..

And Fingernails was telling Irkme that the house is hers too and that they were common law hubby and wife. Hmmmm I'd bet Armie could lawyer up and make Fingernails(on the chalkboard) look foolish for that advice. Especially when DNA would prove the child is not his. Also bet Alexis could somehow figure out a way to pay his attorney fees. :-)

is the cellphone ringtone that rings in many of these Televisa telenovelas available somewhere online?

I have not looked for that exact one but a good place to start is Zedge . I know for Android it is in the app store free. I have used it and it is safe and not full of bloatware. Kj
