Mi Corazon Es Tuyo #3, July 23, 2014... Ana wins over most of the kids, Fanny discovers her secret and Ana leaves... But the resignation is short lived

Refritos: Ana leaves kitchen with the plate of walnut cookies, and gets the paint on her head.

She takes a deep breath to restrain herself from hurting Fanny. Ana leaves, the kids join hands.

Ana deals with the mouse in her shower. Very bravely she grabs it by tail and tosses it out the window.

Kids are trying to listen out the door but Ana doesn’t come out. Fanny has another prank in her list.

Ana showers all the paint off… ‘why does this happen to me???’

Fanny closes the hot water down in the basement. Ana starts shaking because the water gets cold.

Bruno catches the kids down in the basement. Cecilia comes up with the story that Sebastian needs a shower for his body odor. Bruno sends everyone upstairs.

Ana comes out of the shower. She confronts the kids in the halway ‘why? I did not do anything to you! / we promised we would make your time here miserable! / know something? He who gets angry loses… (Ana goes back in the bedroom) … I am strong!! Yes I can!! (Si se puede!!) … Jennifer calls Ana… ‘these kids are… a bit difficult… they covered me in green paint… /are they beasts? / … one notch higher… I will make these kids pay… even if it’s the last thing I do.

Fanny asks Ana why she has not left… (Ana is dressed back in her black sleeveless zippered dress. ) ‘Not all of us were lucky to be born in a palace… I might not be the most educated, but I am capable and persistent… and I will stay here for a long time!...’

All kids look at each other… Seems Nando and Luz are the ones least in agreement with the pranks.

Lo Nuevo:

Next prank, seems they are putting some kind of powder in Ana’s bed… with remote controls?... ah, there is a camera on the car…

Ana is sleeping, starts scratching like crazy… the twin boys are laughing. Ana runs out of her room and spots the twins… the car is recording her in the halway. Ana runs after the boys. Ana trips on the car and stumbles down the stairs. She ends up unconscious so the boys get scared, run down, and scream that she is dead… Bruno comes out. Bruno checks and is relieved that she is breathing… Nando comes down mad, asks the twins ‘what did you do to her??’ the boys reply ‘It was an accident!!’

Nando runs to get his dad… ‘the new Nana had an accident… she is at the stairs’…

At the Chicago, one of the girls is getting pranked… seems a parallel scene where the other girls act as the kids and the one girl plays Ana getting a cold water bath…

Jennifer is at Johny’s… ‘did you think Ana would not find another job?’… she is a nanny… the kids ages range from 5 yrs old to 20… they are the children of a rich guy… and it seems he is handsome to boot.

At hospital/clinic, Fernando and the older kids are in waiting area. Fernando is pacing nervously.

Nando is nagging at Fanny ‘ u happy now?’. Doctor comes out. Ana is fine, the x rays showed negative. She will be able to leave in about an hour. Fernando breathes in relief.

Sebastian, Cecilia, Luz and the twins are at home worried that maybe they overdid the prank this time. Luz is crying. The rest of the kids try to console her.

The rest of the gang gets home. Fernando is helping Ana in… the rest of the kids had come down to the couch and are asleep. Nando carries Luz upstairs. Fernando tells the twins that Ana deserves an apology. Ana says its not necessary. Fernando insists. There are toys that can cause accidents. The twins apologize. Ana says in order to forgive them she needs for them to kiss her with loud smacks on cheeks… group hug. Fernando smiles happy. Bear hug!! ‘head on head!’ (Ana had put some of the powder on her cheeks and now is trying to get the twin boys to go cheek to cheek with her so they will get a taste of what they did to her - thanks Vivi!)

Luz is coloring in her room. Ana wants to come in, she has her uniform on again. Ana likes the drawing. Cecilia is annoyed at Ana talking to Luz. Ana can tell Cecilia is in ‘those days’… Cecilia is annoyed at Ana wanting to help but Ana says she has the best remedy. Ana brings a hot bag for Cecilia. Ana tells her about how she went through the same thing at her age. Cecilia is now smiling, thanks Ana. Ana smiles.

The twins are playing soccer at the yard with Sebastian. Sebastian kicks the ball and it hits Ana hard. The twins worry she will end up at the hospital again. But Ana says no it was not on the face. Ana takes off her shoes and joins them in the game… She gives Sebastian some pointers. Sebastian kicks the ball and almost hits the net… He and Ana seem to warm up to each other. The subject of dancing comes up and Ana offers to show Sebastian some steps in pop dance… they end up dancing together in the yard.

Fanny is hugging Luz and tells her she feels bad for what Luz is going through. She would give anything for Luz to be able to talk again. (this is first time we see Fanny affected/moved about anything).

Nando is talking to Sebastian, the twins and Cecilia. He asks ‘you are warming up to Ana, but you still want her to leave? ‘ They explain that it is because Fanny still wants her to leave and she is the leader. Nando explains that they don’t have to want Ana to leave.

Fanny comes down, she is upset… they all look at their mom’s picture. They say that she left a void that will be hard to fill. They remember her every day. (Ana has come in the room) ‘I too remember my mom everyday. … I don’t remember her face, I grew up in an orphanage. … I know something happened because I remember she did love me very much but somehow one day she left… I don’t quite remember her face so well but I do remember her hands since she used to play the guitar for me… ‘

The kids ask ‘Why haven’t you looked for her?’ Ana says not sure if she is lost or….. what she wants them to know is that she understands perfectly what it feels like not to have your mother around… (Fernando has listened to most of this convo… he is visibly moved)

In the middle of the night Luz goes into Ana’s room with a doll. She gets in Ana’s bed… Ana hugs her. Offers to tell her a story… Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom there was a little princess who did not talk but everyone was sure she had a beautiful voice. (Nando is hearing from hallway and is moved). This princess needed folks to tickle her, to hug her, to hold her… everyone wanted to sing to her a song she used to sing. A beautiful song… and that way the princess would fall asleep…

(several days later?...)
Early Morning, Bruno is posing in the mirror… ‘Thank you for another day!’ He goes through his ‘get ready for the day’ routine.
Bruno finds Ana in the library desk asleep. She seems to have been studying books about logarhythms (the math area she could not help Fanny with before) and geography. Bruno tells Ana that the kids are having breakfast. Ana asks him to please clean up here while she catches up with the kids. Ana joins the kids in the kitchen and tells them they need to eat their whole breakfast so they can grow tall and ‘STRONG!!!” She is quizzing them on logarithms and country capitals… Seems everyone has fallen into a routine with Ana…

Ana gets the 5 youngest ones standing by the wall and they all have prepared a gingle with choreography she taught them… The cook girl hugs Bruno, seems they have never seen the kids so well behaved…

Johny calls someone, needs to find out who it is Ana works for… He is looking all over Jennifer’s purse while she is still in the bedroom getting ready. He finds a the post-it note with Fernando’s address.

Isabel is at Fernando’s, looking at a picture of Fernando and his late wife, she ‘pictures’ herself being the wife on the portrait, smiles.  Bruno is in the process of serving Isabel coffee. Ana comes in looking for Luz's turtle plushie, she bends down under the table to get it and when she stands back up she slams into the tray Bruno had the coffee in. The tray ends up on the floor (Thanks, Vivi for the detail). So Isabel and Ana don’t start/meet in the smoothest terms…
Door bell rings… Ana opens the door and it is Johnny… He is miffed at her about her new job… ‘Didn’t you want to be a showgirl?’ / ‘Yes I wanted to be a showgirl in a decent place…’ (by now Fanny is listening) Johny nags about her criticizing the job he had found her… Ana says she likes the nanny job better. She wants to be here, it makes her feel good, fulfilled… Johnny asks ‘Don’t you remember you signed a contract? You will get in trouble with the boss for not showing up. Ana asks him to give her a hand. He warns her ‘if you won’t return to the Chicago, boss could even kill you!’.

When Ana goes inside, Fanny confronts her about her conversation with Johnny. Fanny insults her and says ‘my dad will LURV the news that you work as a dancer at a low rate club and lied about your experience!’ Ana confesses to her that the job applications got mixed up at the employment agency. Fanny nags that they have warmed up to her. Ana says she has warmed up to them too, but she needs the job, her house burned down. Fanny warns she will tell her dad right away. Ana says ok do it! I had a dream of having (or belonging to) a family … but she knows it’s not going to happen… (or stte).

Luz is having nightmare about seeing her mom on the floor with blood around her. Seems this is how her mom died and Luz was the one that found her. Luz kneels down and cries on top of her mother.

Luz wakes up scared. Luz goes to Ana’s bed but this time Ana is not there, Luz finds a note… ‘Dear children, I am so sorry but I can’t stay with you all. I love you all very much. Ana’. Luz gets upset… says ‘A…. A…. Ana!.... Ana!’ and goes downstairs calling for Ana but there is no Ana. Luz keeps calling for Ana… At that moment Fernando gets home. There is a note on the door from Fanny ‘Dad, when you get home I need to tell you something important about the Nana.’ He hears Luz call for Ana from outside. Fernando is totally moved that Luz is speaking. Fernando hugs Luz and is crying hard… You are speaking!.... He laughs happy.

Nando and Cecilia and the boys are all at the stairs watching their dad laugh and hug Luz. They are also happy that Luz is talking. Bruno also comes out.

Meanwhile, Ana is out somewhere walking with her bag, crying deeply. She ends up at some tree in the middle of a very foggy park. She is really upset and has a hard time breathing from all the crying. ‘I will miss them all very much’. And something about her job (not sure if about the old job or the nanny job)

Back in the house, Fernando asks for Ana… Fanny says ‘she left and I don’t think she will ever come back’. Fernando asks Fanny about her note about Ana. Fanny tells Fernando that Ana is… Ana is….Ana is wonderful, dad! All the kids agree. The twins and Sebastian cheer for Ana. Fernando says we have to find her! Ana has to return! She will be back, I promise you!!

Ana gets to Johnny’s house. Jennifer comes out to her, ‘what happened?’ ‘My dream is over!’ ‘Did you get fired?’ ‘No, I left. It turns out that Fanny, the older kid, found out I dance at the Chicago. I did not want them to find out about where I work at night… I had fallen fond of all of them, I loved that job, I had a family there.’ ‘I miss/need you too.’ ‘Yes, but there were 7 of them!!’... Ana keeps crying hard.

At breakfast at the house, Nando asks Fanny to explain her change of heart about Ana… First you prank the heck out of her, but now you all love her dearly! Fanny says Ana got Luz talking again! Bruno still can’t understand why Ana left with no goodbye or any explanation. Fanny says Fernando won’t look for her because it is suspicious that she left just like that. The kids want for Ana to return. Fanny suggests a ‘silent’ protest… none of the kids will talk until Ana is back. The cook loves the idea of all the kids quiet for a while…

Fernando comes in at night. He says hi to the kids but no one will talk to him. He is heading on to the office, but when he asks about the new nanny the agency sent, they still won’t talk to him. Bruno tells him the kids will keep quiet as a protest. Why the protest? Bruno explains they all want Ana to return. One of the twins yells at Fernando that he promised he would find her! Bruno tells Fernando that thanks to Ana little Luz talked. Fernando insists that Ana left without explanation, she is irresponsible. Even Nando tries to vow for Ana but Fernando insists… By now all the kids have recovered their voices. Fernando asks Bruno for his opinion… ‘it is a risk, but I would bet on Ana’. Fernando is surprised.

Nando tells the rest of the kids that their strategy did not work, as usual. Fernando catches up with them in the hallway, tells them he has a deal for them. We will hire Ana for a week. But if Ana does not pass the probation period, you all commit to accept the nanny I hire for you. They accept the deal. Luz is happy in her dad’s arms.

Ana is back in her burned house. Some guy is helping her clean up… The guy leaves, she remembers the moment she met Luz. She tells herself she loves them, her little angels.

Luz in her bed, the phone rings. It is Ana. And somehow Ana can tell it is her little beautiful princess. I have missed you so bad. Have you missed me? Ana asks her to pass the phone to someone. Luz runs out of the room.

In the kitchen, the cook is making passes at Bruno. Luz runs in with the phone. She gives the phone to Bruno. Bruno talks. Ana yells a greeting to him.

At Chicago, Ana and Johnny are talking to the boss, Don Doroteo (LOL!). The boss is not happy with them. She had a contract and she did not show up to work. Ana explains, it won’t happen again. I won’t fail you. I had to take another job to make ends meet… The boss is going to raise her loan principal amount AND raise her interest rate. ‘If you have another no-show, it will go even worse for you’.

Previews: Ana is back in the house! Fanny and Ana make amends (hashtag amigas!)… Ana keeps working at the Chicago and arriving at the house early morning... Luz talks to Ana again and Ana gets really happy. Fernando admits to himself he feels very distant from his children… (Ana is sleeping, slips right on Fernando’s shoulder, and he just stares at her… )

Comments:
wow! there was a LOT going on. I had a couple moments of distraction (my kids coming by) so please let me know the lines I missed and I can plug them in...

I love the first two episodes! I just can't stand to look at the guy named "Jhonny". I wish they had cast a different character.

Is the chef/cook the same actress that was in Porque el Amor Manda?".

Again, great recap!

Thanks, Martaivett, I missed his episode, so I especially appreciate your detailed recap

Victoria..yes! I think that the cook is the actress who played the crazy psychiatrist in PEAM. This role is very different..

Wow, It did not take long for Ana to win over those children,

Great job, Marta! Gracias,amiga.

They did say "varios dias", but Ana did win the kids over quickly. Frankly, I think all of them have wanted to have a warm motherly presence in their life, but Fanny has been holding them all back. Fanny seems to be the one who is/wants to hold on to her grief the most, and she's pulling the rest of the kids into her grief although they seem to be ready to move on. In a way, both she and Luz are the most affected by their mother's death-- the oldest and the youngest child. And of course Luz has the extra trauma of being the one to find their mother dead. But Fanny loves Luz enough to see that if Ana is good for Luz, then she needs to let Ana stay.

The two small things you missed: Ana insisted the twins hug her cheek to cheek because she had put itch powder (pica pica) on her cheeks and was giving them a taste of their own medicine. And the way the tea spilled on Isabel was that Ana bent down to retrieve Luz's turtle toy from under the table and popped up just as Bruno was serving the tea to Isabel.

Thank you Marta! love your detailed recap. Have never been a big fan of comedy TNs but I do like the characters and premise in this one so far. (And so relieved if the kids' bratty phase is subsiding.)

thanks Vivi! and welcome again J!
now the only thing i need is what Ana was saying in the foggy tree about her job...
thanks for the tea/Isabel/Bruno detail. i totally missed that one.

The link on the sidebar to this blog is still not working. Can it be fixed, or can someone please post the URL for the blog? I am able to access this blog only through indirect means. Thank you.

Fabulous Marta! So much wonderful detail.
Last night really tugged on the heart strings. I'm such a sucker for kids and this troop looks like they are good kids, even Fanny, and they just need someone who gives them that level of attention and understanding I'm sure they miss from their mother.

The scene with Luz and her nightmare. My word, no wonder she's been so affected. If she was the one to find her mother...I tear up just thinking about that poor thing. That little girl is priceless in her range of emotions and her smile just lights up the room.

I'm not loving the character of Johnny either, but my guess is he is supposed to be in direct contrast to Fernando. Sort of exudes just the right level of smarmy to make you want Ana to get as far from him as possible.

I do believe that's the same actress from Porque. Bets how long Bruno can hold out? Also, I'm with someone who thinks Bruno may turn out to have a connection to Ana, and my guess is there will be a mother surface at some point for her as well.

Might be seeing, sorry for the comparison, a Maricruz in the making with Ana really having some serious smarts and maybe just being able to conquer the books, become business savvy, etc.

Looking forward to tonight as she tries to start balancing the kids and the club.

Daisynjay

I'm not sure how Ana is going to be able to dance all night, study so that she can help with/understand the kids' homework, AND take care of them in the high energy manner she has been doing. She does need to sleep sometime.

Good work, and thanks.

Vivi, your point is absolutely right; this will catch up to her sooner or later. She also wont be able to hide her night job for long.

One thing that's bugging me (I should have been a lawyer) is that Don Doroteo should not be able to change the terms of her "contract" to force more money out of her just because she has a second job. Here's hoping that her self-Pygmalion job works fast enough so that when Fernando finds out he will give Don Doroteo what's coming to him about this.

The reason your recap feed has not been working is that I was asked to set it up with capital letters MCET and you have all been tagging it with lower case letters. labels are case sensitive. I have now changed the feed to reflect what you are actually doing.

Marta, you captured this in amazing, delightful detail. And your clever title said it all.

"She would give anything for Luz to be able to talk again. (this is first time we see Fanny affected/moved about anything)" summarized this perfectly.

Those little darlins' are ingenious, aren't they? A camera in the car? Wow. I was impressed. Some arsenal of "toys" they have there!

It has barely taken 2 episodes for Ana to meet and charm the children. Even her occupation and invalid credentials have been revealed. I'm not sure what is going to happen as so much has occurred already.

I must admit I am impressed with Silvia who has not hit a bad note here.

Victoria, I totally agree - I do not like "Jhonny" at all...daisy, you nailed it, "smarmy" is indeed right.

Marta, I am even more impressed with your excellent summary.

Thank you!

Diana

Marta, thanks for the great recap! Another fun episode. I could not believe that Fernando didn't see the connection between Luz's sudden speech and Ana. She was calling for Ana. That should have been reason enough to keep her employed forever. The cook is the psychologist from PEAM: Beatriz Morayra is the actor.

Jarifa

You know Jarifa--I take Fernando as someone who is doing a fairly good job of avoiding the issues. The man is hurting as much as his kids, but at this point, he has no idea how to make them feel better, or himself for that matter, so he hides. I rather enjoy the symbolism of him always being behind the closed doors of the study, and the fact that as soon as he has to "deal" with the kids, he begins to close the button on his suit jacket. So being the only word Luz mumbled was Ana wasn't quite going to register right away...but he'll get there. She's not our heroine for nothing.

But that said, she'll be dealing with the competition so I don't expect our galan to shed the suit coat too soon.

Daisynjay

thanks for the kind words...
and i forgot to mention that in the previews Ana is indeed balancing her night dance job and coming late night/early morning to the house to take on her nanny job.
But I agree, Ana is not wasting time in winning everyone over.
Don Teo is just despicable and I hope it is not a Refugio style separation when Fernando finds out about her other life. I am sure Isabel would be delighted to be the one to reveal it to him.
And I too agree that Bruno will end up some relative (or even dad) of Ana's and her mom will show up, and my guess is her mom will also be financially powerful.

Daisy, I like your analogy of the suit jacket and the 'protective shell' for Fernando.. good one.

marta, what detail you provided in your wonderful recap!

How nice to see that it only took a few days for the kids to see that Ana will be good for them.

I am not a comedy fan at all, but I so love the major actors in this, I have to keep watching.

Vivi in DC, agree with your points as well as Urban's that Ana only has so many hours in the day. Also agree with your points re the children's grief.

Thank you marta!

Fatima

Since I can't get the MCET RSS feed,I access it by doing a Caray Caray search & scrolling to reach MCET.

I guess we won't get any shirtless views of JS for a while.

BTW, his birthday is on Sunday.

Thank you, Marta, I loved your take on things. Everything is moving at a rather fast pace, I wonder what will come next.

Did anyone get the impression that Fer's wife didn't die of natural causes?
I mean, when Luz found her she was on the floor and all that blood could mean that someone managed to off her, right?

Thanks for this nifty recap, Marta. Very well done.

Belated thanks to Eli for the recap of Tuesday's show. Excellent. Unfortunately, by the time I'd watched the episode and read the recap and comments last night's episode was already over.

Just as it's not taken long for Ana to win over the children, this TN is winning me over as well. I'm even warming to the little boy that we all had doubts about before the show even began. Of course little Luz is such a gem. She has already stolen my heart just as she has captured Ana's.

I initially thought that René Casados might have finally taken his antics a step too far for me in this with his portrayal of Bruno... but nopis, I'm on completely on board. This guy is such an amazing performer.

I don't recall anyone mentioning this, but does anyone else notice a resemblance in the portrait of the deceased wife and mom to Ana?

Carlos

Gees, Carlos, now that you mention it, good point on the picture. Future plot point in the making.Convoluted relations story, here we come.

Adriana, thanks!! I didn't want to bring it up since noone seemed to have inferred anything to Ana, but I thought the whole way the wife was sprawled on the rug, shoes were off and the picture smashed didn't add up. If she had collapsed and hemorrhaged, I would think the picture would have landed right near her or maybe in her hand still, not the glass smashed and so far from where she landed. That could explain everyone's difficulty in dealing with her death--an unsolved crime?

My first thought was the perky new assistant. Fernando didn't know her prior to hiring her, but she sure seemed to have her sights set on the guy before she came on board. Certified whack job maybe?

Daisynjay

I too wondered about the death scene and the cracked picture. Could be a red herring so will have to wait and see.

I think the fast win over , even with the Days later move, is simply to get all the ducks lined up so we can get to the meat of the story, Fern, Ana and the golddigger. If this novela was being shown in the daytime I'm pretty sure a lot more time would have been devoted to winning over the kids.

As the episode played out I stopped thinking of the kids as brats and saw them as lonely hurt kids missing their mother, accustomed to not bothering their father and banding together against a world that was so cruel to them. I also think that the quick bonding with Ana shows how much they needed warmth and fun in their lies which obviously died with their mother.

The picture looks to me a lot like Susana Gonzalez, so I would not be surprised they use her later for some memory scene, but she does also look a little (not in the eyes) like Sylvia. But Sylvia and Jorge looks so cute together (from preview shot)... they both have good facial bones and big dark eyes... and her skin is so flawless...

I think Fanny and Luz look a lot like their mom's picture... Cecilia has bigger eyes.

Martaivett, thanks for this excellent recap. Like the kids getting drawn towards Ana, I am also getting drawn into the novela. I wasn't too sure about it the first day. I was not looking forward to dumb pranks for many days. Good thing they cut it out and the story is moving along quite nicely.

Carlos, you are right, about little Luz. Before she uttered a word, she conveyed so much through her little face. Perhaps like Daisynjay says, all they need is some love, and they will be good kids. Even the Osorio kid, as long as he doesn't get all smarmy on another 7 year old! LOL!

Maricruz

By the way, are these kids home schooled? I see the 5 youngest in what looks like uniforms but they go nowhere.
Maricruz

Jane
You must be a computer genius!

Carlos and other LQLVMR fans, so glad to see you all on board for MCET!

Thanks for the recap! This is moving at breakneck pace so far, but I like that they are getting things set up quickly. Kind of gives you whiplash to recap it, though!

I assume the kids go to school but it hasn't been shown, except for Fanny, who is apparently 20. I wonder if she takes any university classes? She must ride horses, because she was wearing riding clothes when she overheard Johnny talking about the cloob.

Are the twinnies going to wear matching outfits for the entire run of the show? That is so dorky.

I am liking Alicia a bit more, I've always liked Nando (though every time I see him, for some reason I think his name should be Henry), and little Luz is delightful. Fanny is too old to behave the way she does, but I think she has a lot of potential. The other three boys could fall into the sewer and I wouldn't miss them.

I noticed they have three colors of juice whenever they show the kids eating breakfast. So pretty! My doctor would probably read me the riot act if I had a breakfast of fruit, juice, and white flour pastries every morning. Such a sugar rush.

I've noticed how everyone in that house seems to close doors behind them. When Nando ran into the library to tell his father that Ana had fallen down the stairs, he carefully closed the door after he walked in before announcing the accident. And then when Ana went into the kitchen where the kids were already eating, she also took the time to close the door. I wonder why that is.

I have also noticed the Don Quixote sculpture on Fernando's desk. Decor in telenovelas usually tells you something about the characters. The most common thing is for the studly galanes to have horse artwork. Does Don Quixote indicate that Fernando has a suppressed wild or delusional streak?

Maybe the statue is about Fernando, who seems so uptight, strict and businesslike, is actually a dreamer who would love nothing better than to kick off his shoes and tilt a few windmills or play soccer in bare feet.

I can see as this goes along, maybe the influence of Ana brings that "fun guy" out of him and we lose the workaholic. ( Reminds me of Pretty Woman when Julia got Richard Gere to take off his shoes and feel the grass in the park on their "day off"). I'd go for a scene like that with these two big time!

Daisynjay

I love Silvia's deep-set greenish eyes. They are so bright, striking, and beautiful.

Martaivett:

Thank you for such a detailed recap. The captions weren't on last night, and I find the Mexican slang language a little hard to follow, so thank you for such a great recap.

I thought SN looked so becautiful in MEPS. Yes she has completely flawless skin and beautiful eyes.

Great job, Marta. Thanks for this excellent recap.

I'm so glad that the kiddie's war against Ana is over so soon, but their resourcefulness, craftiness, and downright meanness will no doubt make them very valuable allies for Ana in the weeks to come. Maybe they'll have an opportunity to direct their noxious skills toward Isabela, Johny, or even Doroteo.

I thought that breakfast was gorgeous, and as a Dr., Julia, I approve... especially all that fresh fruit.

Fanny is such a cute wholesome looking teen. I wonder how long before Ana will have to be dealing with a creepy sleazy boyfriend lurking around?

Carlos

Does anyone remember how far into the episode
Luz dreams about her Mother's death? I want to watch the scene again because I missed the suspicious part everyone is talking about.

Dr. Carlos, would you be willing to step out of retirement just very part-time to be my doctor? It's an easy job; you just have to tell me I can eat all the fruit I want and also I should probably have a chocolate croissant with that. My own doctor is always cruelly telling me to eat more protein and get my vitamins from vegetables and "a banana is not a meal" and crap like that.

Julia,

I sympathize... and the sad thing is that what the medical world considers healthy today... tomorrow not.

That breakfast was so gorgeous, I don't see how it could possibly be unhealthy.

Carlos

Yes, I get confused about what is considered healthy because opinions keep changing. A few months ago, I was surprised to read that fruit juice is as bad for you as soda ...Que? Then, an issue of Time magazine had an article stating that fat in food has gotten a bad rap . When they take out the fat , they add sugar and chemicals, so fat is supposedly not as bad as they thought. My daughter has me checking every food I buy for high fructose corn syrup, the new big bad that is added to all sorts of things including bread and jelly. It tasks me forever to grocery shop because I read the labels.

My mother who smoked , never exercised, and never watched her diet used to say " Everything in moderation ..a motto she never followed. ..but she lived to 90. I guess we just have to use common sense.

MartaI: thanks, agmiga for a great rundown that caught a lot of the quick stuff I couldn't catch. You also got the personality of those kids down, too! Lots of slang in this one and the kids talking so fast and furiously is keeping me on my tootsies. Had to catch it the day after on Uvideos/Novelasyseries and then it says no CC available!! Grrrrr. So I'm muy grateful to you! Tks, mucho again!!!!!

p.s. to thank Eli Perez for yesterday's double duty recap. Loved the line "she does go away, to the kitchen to bake them cookies-god help me but I hope she spit on them". I stood up and shouted "damn straight!"
